My bad, I found some old info in their articles.

Using the app-engine-patch sounds like the right thing to do.  How  
about the custom Google Model, though?  I'm not too familiar with  
satchmos Model usage, so I wouldn't know if Googles Model would cause  
issues.  But it seems like there would need to be a parallel set of  
Models, one using vanilla Django and one using Googles.
