Hi,
The problematic clause in the original BSD is: "All advertising materials
mentioning features or use of this software must display the following
acknowledgement: This product includes software developed by XXXXX and its
contributors."
It was a "requirement to promote", while here it's something like "don't use
my name without consent in promotions".
I think the freedoom clause is GPL-compatible.
