I have just ran a test on the VIA server with and without the patch: the
patch does improve things. It's still not smooth, as can be expected on
such a CPU when another liquidsoap is already running. We probably want to
experiment with ways to work around this cost. Anyway, it also seems that
Romain is not 100% confident about committing this patch.
