With this pattern, the buffer would slowly become more and more full. After a while, it's overfull but restarting eliminates the "overfull" diagnosis. Anyway, you can safely ignore those messages if the problem isn't too bad, ie. you can't hear the minor gaps caused by dropping data when the buffer is overfull.
