What you want to do is possible.  But it is not simple.  I do not know of a
simple API that says what the next song is.

Liquidsoap really doesn't try to figure out the 'next' song until it is
'almost' done with the current one.

I have done something like this because I have an external program to
determine the next filename I want Liquidsoap to play, and have it call a
routine when it starts playing a song.  So I could track that if I wanted
to.

There are probably a few things you could to with request.dynamic, but I
haven't tried those.
