Romain could probably tell us when a switch is checked.

Or we could run some tests.  I suspect it is pretty frequently.

I think part of the discussion would be "what is the next song in that
case?"

If the switch is to a live show or a time/weather announcement, one would
probably want it to happen immediately.

If it was just music, then you might want to let one song finish before the
switch.
