Hi guys,
FYI: Some positive
problem-solvers will be coming to the next board meeting to address the SB
during Parent/Community Comment. I believe they will be bringing tangible
offers of support for several of the community-wide solutions we've
discussed at recent meetings.
Steve asked Mayor Miller
recently how the City might be able to help, so several staffers will have
some exciting possibilities to offer on Thursday.
Parents have been researching
costs related to some of the Lincoln moving estimates, and will have
some eye-opening, much-lower estimates and committments for volunteer
& professional help.
Community members with better
technology and software than WAPS will present markedly different,
verifiable data related to enrollment projections and budget
shortfalls.
The WSU Ed partnership group
will have met that Monday and may have more details to offer.
There is a lot of momentum
building across the entire district to deal with excess capacity in a
synergistic way. People are stepping up to committing time, talent,
services and dollars to support a healthy approach to solving our excess
capacity challenge.
Thanks,
Sharon
