I think INRIA has played an important role in the "rebirth" of the scikit
(without INRIA's interest and financial support, there would be no scikit
today). When I present the scikit, I usually say that INRIA played an
important part in making the scikit a popular, stable, state of the art
python package, but that it is now a community driven project with many
world wide contributors from academics and industry.
