Both discuss.scientific-python.org and discuss.python.org are running Discourse 3.3.0.beta1. I checked by viewing the page source of both sites.
I have been using discuss.scientific-python.org via email and believe it has been set up to be used in "mailing list mode" since early 2022: https://discuss.scientific-python.org/t/this-is-to-test-whether-mailing-list-mode-works-well/85 Can you describe more specifically what you can do on discuss.python.org that you can't do on discuss.scientific-python.org?
