We could even have some of you folks rent a dolly, bring in those old RISC based
RS/6000 boxes in and see if we can get Linux running on them or install some GNU
tools, Samba or Apache on top of whatever OS they have. They were pretty awesome
boxes back in the day. Does anyone have an old VAX PDP or MicroVax or an old IBM
mainframe or miniframe? Maybe we should think about having some kind of antique
computer Linux install marathon... to see how many different types of computers we can
get Linux running on in 24 hours or something. I wonder what the world record is?

I have three HP9000/425 workstations (Motorola 68040 based) that I have always been meaning to get up and running with Linux or NetBSD. I would be happy to bring one or two to a meeting if somebody with heavy SCSI diagnostic skills is available to help. My last attempt at a NetBSD install failed becuase I could not get the SCSI voodoo correct.

I think I also still have a 25MHz '030 amiga around if we are serious about getting as many different machines running open source unix as possible.
