I have a private server with DreamHost - which means I can't run dpkg, apt-get, or rpm. I can install from source but I am having problems. The scmbug source requires fig2dev which I don't have installed. The only way to install that from source is via the use of xmkmf, which is an X11 package.
My question is why is fig2dev required.
