My demonstrator had a saoft no 1.5 reed fitted in place of the usual 2.5 sax reed! I've heard good playing on them, but only from really good sax players who have taken care to master the instrument. The pitch is prone to wander with an inexperienced player like me. The best results are jazz style with a lot of fast ornaments, short notes, volume variation and pitch variation. The hardest thing to do is a pure sustained fixed pitch note at a constant volume.
