You might also want to check out Jimmy Eat World, far (supremely awesome but
now defunct band), Mineral, radiohead, and Elliott Smith. They're all
completely mind-blowing. While a bit more hardcore, Tool is also great. Oh,
and funny that you should mention U2 on the list -- they were my favorite
band (still kinda are) before I got into SDRE :).
