iTunes, of course, didnt start out as a synchronisation tool, or a client of Apples stores. It was formerly a product called SoundJam MP, with the goal to organise your music. Then, indeed, it played your MP3s, conveniently, from a simple interface. The iPod and the iTunes Store came later in Apples history, after Apple acquired SoundJam which it renamed to iTunes, but were convenient to the iTunes model. Well never know if thats why Apple wanted such a product with that goal in mind, but looking back, its an excellent fit. Leave the user disjoint from the file system for media organisation and things like this are really possible; an excellent idea, if it had worked exactly as people wanted it to. Sadly it doesnt work for everyone, though mostly I think through the shortsightedness of Apple rather than because its infeasible.

You can replace the sounds; those are just standard wave files. Go ahead and supply replacements. These are loaded in preference to the pak files; if you want to replace in-game sounds, you can do that, too; just provide files of the names as they are found in the pak files.Thanks for bringing this up, I will make sure we have good instructions.

EDIT:Kay, now Im only having an issue saving one map.I have my default map size set to 25 x 25. I made a test map that is 8 x 8, but when I try to save changes made to said test map it keeps giving me an error. I havent gotten it when saving my 25 x 25 maps. So am I just getting this because the map size is different?Also. I heard it said Apple are trying to get people to treat the mini as a commodity item, when it breaks or needs updating just throw it out and get a new one. This is frankly wasteful and goes against everything us tech nerds have ever believed. Question is, will anyone buy the new mini or will it die a slow death? I really dont see Apple reversing their decisions regarding the mini since this would mean admitting they were wrong, and like you say peoplell just buy an iMac or MacBook air/pro instead... or at least Apple believes so.

Interesting history, though feasible or not seems relative according to what you want and what the designers are intending for the software. Just because I personally am very strict with file and folder organization, and have for example all my Doctor who audiobooks indexed in folders by doctor, and then have their individual parts each numbered with the correct story number doesnt mean everyone is. I can quite accept that someone who just wants to bang on a playlist or have their media auto organized should have programs to do that. Likewise, sinking the phone is a good idea in principle. heck, Ill even accept that having vendors be able to sell media directly and it be instantly downloaded is a good idea.The problem is rather than giving people choice, Apple have taken a leaf out of the Daleks book obey without question! Rather than having Itunes (or sound jam as was), as an optional media organizer and player, its now a media streight
  jacket, indeed if the intention of soundjam was to give people choices and ease oorganization of their individual media collections it almost seems Itunes has the direct opposite purpose, by forcing people to organize their media only according to it! Even Windows mediaplayer was optional on its library and playlist functions, and used the basic file system as its cutout, but heck Apple actively obscure the file system or the ability to interact with media files. This iron fisted control even goes with the interface, sinse where as in the past youd have a bunch of options, Apple gives you none.Myself, I dont see why they dont have a streight out usb system like other mp3 players have, and leave all the extra itunes functions in other programs for those who want them.In fairness I dont think Apple are unique on this. Microsoft are doing the same with post xp windows, and indeed even outside the computer world we increasingly d
 ont have choices about what we buy where, how much we pay, or what choice we have over availability. This was quite an eye opener when i was in Egypt, sinse yes the culture of direct haggling and bartering is a bit strange to europeans, and does have its abusive and devicive side, but it was strange to find that in that environment as a customer I still had a degree of power and choice over what was paid. This is however why simply saying its not the latest version or thats your only option is no arguement with me, I just wish more people had the same attitude.

Funny I nI havent run into either the Ui thing or the powerup machine crash myself, though i believe the game over bug Stewie mentioned is the same one I had earlier. I wonder if, with me having only run into a couple of bugs the game is more stable on Ios 7 than 8, sinse as I know a lot of beta testing happened before Ios 8 turned up, perhaps more was ironed out. Then again, apparently all their other games have been upgraded to run with Ios 8 so hay. Oh well, all the more reason to stick with Ios 7 for the time being.

@Stardust, enjoy! To everyone else, unfortunately I dont know where to contact justin or what his e-mail is, but I do think this is a good idea. I have a copy of the keygen myself but I think its a shame that Justins games wont be around in the future, and after all it wouldnt have cost him anything to release the games for free the way Lworks did recently with Superliam. Before anyone asks, we cant really share them on this forum without them being officially abandonware unfortunately.

You can definitely play on a desktop. The iOS version has a few features which help organize information a bit more quickly, principally a journal for rituals and the like, but you can access the same info through text commands in the game proper. Its really your call on which you want to buy. If youre like me you might get both.

Dark - the idea of putting a number on each and then having a document with the text is definitely preferable to trying to braille all the contents - good idea. Itd still take a significant bit of time to type all of that text - youre talking dozens (maybe hundreds) of cards with a paragraph of flavor text, plus instructions. But the good news is, once its typed once, we can use that document forever...as opposed to having to braille for each copy. Not to mention the bulk of braille cards that would entail.Anyway, those are the sorts of details well try to arrange whenever someone places a custom order; well do our best to explain the different information that needs to be presented, and the ways in which we can present it, and figure out what suits the individual players preferences. For me, I have no need to have that information in an accessible form, because the way the game works is that one player draws the c
 ard and reads it to the table - and Im fine with that. But others may prefer to have access to 100% of the text, and thats fine too.

This might seem somewhat of a stupid question for some but, are any of you who are experiencing bugs using a 5s with iOS 8.1? Im running just that and have had no problem. The only bug that I noticed is that vo will take you back to the start of a menu sometimes, but yeah thats all. Trying to 3 star every level just because.

Well the Halloween event has been pretty popular so far, with over 100 pumpkins found already. To the annoyance of many players, the server has been at maximum capacity and new people are having trouble logging in.The server is designed to kick idle players (those who do not move, talk, buy, or sell stuff) for 10 minutes, if (and only if) the server is at maximum capacity. If there are still empty slots available for others to join, you can sit idle for hours and the server doesnt mind. I do it this way because the only time being idle hurts anything is when youre taking up a space that another player needs in order to, you know, actually play! Haha!The way I coded the Halloween event messed up the servers ability to kick idle players. Actually what was happening was that each time a pumpkin was found and gifts were sent out, that was resetting the idle status of the players. So since people kept finding pumpkins,
  the server was not properly seeing who was idle and who was not. I have corrected this problem.To people worried about the anti-idle code kicking them out when they walk away for a few minutes, keep in mind that this only applies when the server is full. If it is at 80 players for 5 minutes and then someone signs out, the idle counter stops counting. It will only resume once we get back up to 80 players. Because of this, the 10 minutes the server gives you is probably going to drag out into a much longer time. If you do happen to get kicked while you go have a 20 minute conversation in the next room, the same code that kicked you ensures that you wont have to wait forever to log back in.

hi waht I do is usually when I want to do a quest in a year, I do it right at the beginning of the year. if it Fails, I simply restore my game from last year and do it again till I complete it. that was a great help in finishing the Long game! I had try elmels quest about 50 times, same with the humact and uralda quest. those are some of the hardest ones in the hole game, aspeacally because I didnt have any elmel or humact worshipers.

Free domains and free hosting are available but finding them is quite a challenge and many of them arent really of the required level of quality. Domains will usually be subdomains, not full domains EG myspecialplace.somefreeprovider.org. I do agree.Ironically, some media players promise the ability to rebuild their databases using information stored in the file metadata. I think thats awesome; it means your view of the files is still disjoint from the file system, but you still have the file system as one of several possible Views. This is entirely possible and Apple should have done it.My point was more that its as always easier to ascribe to malice that which can adequately be ascribed to stupidity.

Hi Stardust.If you can you should definitly buy all of the gma games since they are absolute classics. I played the demos of bsc games years ago and never really liked them. I remember being able to beat the demos in a half an hour or so and figured the full game couldnt be much longer. This is just my opinion but I never wanted to buy them gma was more interesting since there was a lot more gameplay involved in those games.

One thing I forgot to mention:I think bool sound::load(string) would be a better choice of signature than void sound::load(string) because loading a sound can fail for any number of reasons and we need to be able to detect this.

I myself am experiencing the following bugs:In the shop, I cannot select the weapons I want to use in endless mode. When I try to go to that screen, it simply pops up an alert saying that Dr. Bastard will select my weapons for challenges but I can select my weapons for Endless. I already know that, now how do I select said weapons? LolAs Dark said, there is a bug with diamonds. I also cannot change the cards in endless mode.I do wish the music wasnt quite as loud as it is sometimes, as it makes things hard to hear. Endless mode can be pretty chalenging at the beginning because youre not introduced to most of the higher level zombies that tend to show up. Collecting coins can be a dragging process, at least for me... Im getting better though. I cant wait until I get really good. Challenge mode isnt too easy either... but I do like it. I really hope they release more challenges soon! But Id rather the bugs be fixed first. It

If you pay you can get a nice name, otherwise you probably wont.Web hosting, once you have your domain, is a separate issue. You could use Dropbox, but thats a bit dodgy. You could use one of the free web hosts, but thats maybe risky or full of ads. Its really complicated, until you start paying money--even if its a very small amount of money, mind you.

This is a lot more challenging and strategic than I first thought it would be. I have found that an iPhone restart has made the crash is a lot less frequent. Especially in endless mode. I wonder if the game is leaking memory? I absolutely love this.it would be great if they could add more staff in the future, even if they went to be app purchase route.I would be more than willing to support them that way. Though I have noticed that the game is missing quite a bit of content already. It still feels kind of like a beta to me.

In the zombie horde level in the city crossroads arena, I kill all the zombies, but then theres no buzzer. I just stand there and nothing happens. I can shoot, I can turn around, I can switch and reload weapons, I can swing my melee, but nope. nothing. And in endless. Sometimes, the game will just freeze. Therell be a zombie within my melee range, for example, then it just disappears, as with all the zombies, and I can do nothing. when I turn voice over back on, Im not in the pause menu, the game is just frozen.

You can do it for $10 a year for the domain name and $5/month for the server.I suspect your problem will be configuration, so you probably would want to look at shared web hosts. Dropbox will end badly, I promise-assuming youre able to grandfather into the public folder, being popular will just cause them to take you down. This was a problem with AAC, at least. Doing a VPS is fine, but only if you know how all this works already. I cant suggest anything for you as I am a VPS person, but youre not going to be doing this for free most likely.

Im not sure I like the idea of solving the problem of limited screen reader support by abandoning the cause of web access; after all it looks like this thing has the potential to be the next UI for everybody, not just the blinks.I am surprised that only OS X gets ARIA right. I cant say yet exactly what that is, though.  Perhaps it is robustness, or the maturity of the technology. But in any event, it seems that simplifying every interface so that a web browser can access it is the new fad. The phones/tables are merely dumb clients, simplified for that purpose, like appliances. From the consumer perspective, this is of course entirely reasonable. The only consolation will be that people will continue to run those services on servers, which must be running capable OSs that do as the user commands them. And of those capable OSs, how many will have desktop equivalents, run by users who are comfortable with lo

I installed the version of Itunes 11, well had to install twice sinse after the first installItunes winjed at me about having a newer version of the library file, so I had to delete everything!Now however, I have it setup, have found the playlists on my phonne, but I cant edit them at all! cant delete! cant add new playlists, cant mess with my phone at all! apple are idiots, and right now my personal opinion is that they act both out of stupidity and! malice. I suppose this really depends on what Apple thinks the future of Macs and OS X really are. In spite of the Mac Pro, its not clear to me that Apple is at all inconvenienced by hardwiring components. Indeed, a high-end iMac is a professional workstation, too; Macs are clearly just good for doing your general computing work, and a Pro is someone who knows how to use FinalCut or Logic. And in that light, it all makes perfect sense. The Mac Mini is no longer a server; now only the Mac Pro qualifies, in any kind of conventional sense. OS X Server has long been trivialised to the point that it makes Windows Server seem positively useful; all the bundled software means nothing if you can hardly manage it in the Mac way, or have to run logged-in sessions over graphical desktops or ssh (the latter with much less flexibility than one would normally expect from a command line). Its a wonder there isnt an iServe, which would be a box with server functions built into it, like the very excellent Time Capsule, controlled using an iOS app …Im now moving this Mac Mini to Linux. I dont anticipate it dying for a while yet, but Ill cross that bridge when I reach it. Should be fun; a new home gateway and mail server and NAS, shaped exactly like a Mac Mini.

I dont know how this stupid authorization thing works. Ive authorized my computer with my Apple Id, run sink and backup on the Iphone, the one thing it wont do is let me edit my playlists on the phone, which is all I wanted this cruddy program for. Ive done the Trust this computer box but it still! wont let me edit my playlists, and I dont really see how reinstalling a third time would help at this point sinse I have no idea what is wrong. Im sick and tired of this peace of shite and I wish Id never installed 12 in the first place, that was a definite mistake! and yeah, apple are out to get me! its not fare!Im tempted to just say balls to the hole Itunes thing and buy myself an mp3 player instead, if anyone knows any good and relatively accessible ones that would work by usb and read file names. Any suggestions as to why the authorization isnt working?

Hello Aprone.Well its been years since Ive used one but last time I did use one it was aweful. When I used it there was a circle on top that you had to turn to the right letter then press the button to write a particular letter. When I used it to label video tapes it took me about five minutes to write one label correctly.This was about ten or twelve years ago so they might have changed a lot since then. The labels that I do remember came out very nicely it was just very time consuming.A faster way to do it is to buy braille label paper. You write labels on a braille writer with spaces between them then when your done you cut the labels out and pull the bottom part off then stick it onto whatever you want. I use this method to label cds and things like that.Hth.

Burak, I dont have a good way to test this off hand, but let me know if this works for you.www.kaldobsky.com/audiogames/insert.zipWhen you run it you hear a beep, get a 5 second delay, it presses Insert, then it beeps again as it closes itself. The delay is meant to give you time to bring your game into focus so that the key press is registered by the game.

Launcher will likely be written in either C++ or maybe C# since right now it is only windows exclusive.Speech options would be better suited in game. Have a switch option which resets which one youre using.The launcher will close after launching the game successfully.Also, Im thinking about adding a mode where you can collect the trading cards if you get a deck holder, which will be released in a currently unknown manner. You can play the Pokemon card game with various NPCs and maybe even some trainers as well. Definitely not in the upcoming release, but its something I was thinking about implementing after the debug phase of this next release is good. What do you guys think?

Well, in this case, its almost not sarcasm. The screen reader puts global keyboard hooks in, and its poorly documented as to which methods of key simulation will actually circumvent them. Back when I did this, Ive seen everything from completely ignores the screen reader through to completely triggers the screen reader, and yes that also includes flipping randomly back and forth. The long and the short of it is that its luck of the draw-Autohotkey is known to work well, but its guess and hope with the others. Part of me says that the methods that the screen reader captures do creative things at very low levels, and Ive not had occasion to do this in 3-4 years, so my info could easily be out of date. All things considered, its kinda interesting that the braille labeler is so compact compared to every other braille-generating device ever, since it has a collection of characters on a wheel, rather than letting one control the dots directly.And yes, squeeze it hard. It does not forgive.Oh! If its the same model I have/had, then you want to space a couple times before cutting, otherwise youll probably lose the end of your label.I have this weird feeling like I should complain about something or other, but I actually cant think of anything of the sort off the top of my head. I have no idea where mine got to, but if it turns out to be with me at the moment, Ill look for it just to see if anything cool comes of it.
