I joined back in the Overclocker's era. Our computers and phones, today , would have been just a dream then. I've always been mostly a lurker and have learned so much from the discussions. I'm in a nursing home now, but would chip in as much as I can to continue this list. Thanks to all.
Re: [H] List info / Jim Edwards
I joined that list back then too, I am more of a lurker as well. This group has been a source of info, and entertainment sometimes for me since it began. It is nice to have a group of people with their different specialties available for brain picking. I would be willing to pitch in to help keep this alive. I definitely agree. I used to upgrade every year, now my newest rig is 2 generations behind. I don't game as much, but it seems to me that the top games these days are hard work. Re: [H] List info / Jim Edwards
yes it is, i lurk more than ever now. i remember the early days where hardwaregroup.org resided on a tower PC in my dorm room, briefly as school admins gave me a stern talking to and warning letter about hosting external sites. that letter is still somewhere in one of my books in storage. jim graciously picked up the slack and has been maintaining the list ever since; died down for a little bit but he resurrected it. chris reeves still always around, i remember him being a chris wong due to losing a bet to his wife. other names like glasswolf no longer visible here. bryan seitz was a very opinionated younger man in his college days. harry macgregor is/was a striking astute kid when he first joined too. james boswell liked to rile up the conversations every now and again. and for those that dont know, anand (yes, the anandtech.com) was briefly on the list in the early days, he was probably no older than a teen then. -alex / flush On Mon, Mar 18, 2013 at 4:10 PM, Christopher Fisk < christopher.f...@thefisks.org> wrote: > You know a list is old when you joined in '98 and the majority of people on > the list consider you a new member =) > On Mar 18, 2013 7:08 PM, "Jeff Lane" wrote: > > > That pretty well sums it up, Duncan.
