[ksmserver] [Bug 410967] New: Wayland ignores screen/monitor setup after logout
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410967 Bug ID: 410967 Summary: Wayland ignores screen/monitor setup after logout Product: ksmserver Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: herzensch...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY My current setup consists of a full HD monitor (LG 24MK430H 23.8") in front of me and to its right the laptop (Dell 5567 with KDE Neon Unstable and using Wayland) with the lid closed. When I go into System Settings and configure Displays so that the laptop screen is disabled, apply, then logout, login screen will have my laptop screen re-enabled and accessible through mouse despite me not seeing it, as the lid is closed. (need to recheck to see if this is 100% reproducible) Regardless of whether the screen is re-enabled or not on the login screen, and regardless of whether my mouse can move to the laptop screen on a new session, System Settings always displays laptop screen as Enabled. The laptop screen frame in Displays also appears underneath the monitor screen frame (need to recheck to see if 100% reproducible), a fact which seems to be the cause for a few graphical glitches perceivable in the menu, as the glitches disappear after disabling laptop screen once again. "Start with an empty session" is enabled. "Save as new global values for this display" is selected. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Disable laptop screen in System Settings while lid is closed and apply 2. Logout normally through menu and logout screen 3. Login normally through login screen * By moving the mouse, it's possible to verify that the laptop screen is active while on the login screen. 4. Verify System Settings * Laptop screen lies underneath monitor screen. * Graphical glitches occur in the menu and possibly in other areas. OBSERVED RESULT After login, both screens are activated, differently from what was defined by the user. EXPECTED RESULT After login, only the monitor is activated, as defined by the user. Please configure your email software to send only plain text. Also note that when you reply by email, your entire email becomes the next comment on the bug, so you can trim the previous comment you are replying to. (Look at the bug in a browser to see what I'm talking about.() When upgrading from 4.8 to 5.0 there was a known problem which required you to remap any online account using libofx, but that only needs to be done once. What exactly do you mean by "the same problem"? Did 4.8 also fail fetching the bank list? It only does that when mapping an account. Did it forget the mapping? When you say other accounts are already mapped, but get the same error, that doesn't make sense, since the fetching the list of banks only happens when you are mapping an account. When you say you set up a new database, do you mean you are using the SQL storage and created a whole new KMM database? When you say you can import from Quicken, please confirm you mean you are importing a local file. Also, have you tried downloading an OFX file from the bank and importing that local file? If that works, we can focus on the mapping problem, and whether there is still a problem with kio (KDE library) on Windows. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I downloaded the update last night. I cannot import from Quicken, either. Leonard, please keep all messages about this posted to the bug, not personal email. So are you on Win 10, and the Win CE in the bug header was just a mis-click? That certainly avoids some unknowns. However, please be clear about all steps you took. 1) What problems were you having with the prior version? Which prior version? 2) After you upgraded, what did you try and what problems did you have. 3) Did the program remember the online mapping for the account, or did it claim the account was not mapped? In other words, why were you trying to remap the account. (That's the reason it was trying to download the bank list.) 4) When you say you can't import from Quicken, is that an online update, or importing from a local file? All these details are important, so we understand exactly what is happening. Without that, we can't really be sure what's wrong, or even what to suggest you try next. Having played Spider on Linux for years, I noticed that a couple of years ago the solver was considerably improved and its credibility clearly increased. However, there still are situations in which the solver claims a game cannot be won when it actually can. Another annoying solver error is the situation near the end of a game when the solver says: "Undeterminable whether the game can be won" - and there are two unturned cards left together with three vacant spaces on the board! I have a snapshot of such a situation but it probably is not needed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmymoney] [Bug 410954] Bank Download
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410954 Jack changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ostroffjh@users.sourceforge ||.net --- Comment #5 from Jack --- >From the OP by personal email: I am running windows 10, when I first stating using the program about 6 months ago I could download from my bank okay, then I started having problems. Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410954 --- Comment #4 from Jack --- First, if you reply by email, and not by posting to bugs.kde.org, please send only text, not html. The html ends up being made an attachment to the bug. Please let me know if you have successfully downloaded OFX from this bank before. The first message (loading banklist) is shown when mapping the account. Are you failing there? If so, you haven't actually gotten to the point of downloading anything from the bank itself. However, the second message (unable to create io-slave) is likely an issue related to Windows. I don't actually know if anyone has tested KMM on Windows CE. That's why it's important for us to know if you have done a succesful OFX download before - specifically on Windows CE. Also, please let us know which exact link you used to download KMM. (I don't run Windows at all, so I can't test.) There have been problems in the past with some KDE features not working correctly on Windows, but I thought they had been addressed, so we may have to wait for someone who specifically prepares the Windows installer to comment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 402439] Model error with Kickoff RunnerModel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402439 David Edmundson changed: What|Removed |Added Latest Commit|https://commits.kde.org/pla |https://commits.kde.org/pla |sma-desktop/9371a7c96d4722b |sma-desktop/a2fe5212126c05f |93b49b18df7b21780f2a9ad38 |8638709d640bc1ba1589026b0 --- Comment #2 from David Edmundson --- Git commit a2fe5212126c05f8638709d640bc1ba1589026b0 by David Edmundson. Committed on 15/08/2019 at 20:58. Pushed by davidedmundson into branch 'Plasma/5.12'. Fix model updates in RunnerMatchesModel Summary: RunnerMatchesModel is backed by a list. When this list changes RunnerManagerModel add/removes the new number of rows then called dataChanged on everything that remained. It's a common pattern, but not a great one. Especially with QtQuick where moving a delegate is faster than updating all the properties of an existing one - unfortunately I can't find a nice solution to do this properly in linear time. The problem with the current code is we update the entire list in the insert/remove rows. This is a violation of the model rules as we're updating rows outside the rows listed inside begin/remove rows. It works, but Qt's model test fails. We also have a lot of duplicates of a crash in QtQuick after runner model changes, bug 369430. I think it could be related, but can't prove anything. This patch updates the rows that exist in both the before and after models before adding/removing the remaining rows. Test Plan: Added Qt model tester in https://phabricator.kde.org/P283 It now passes.
