Put this in the /layout directory of your local LyX configuration directory---that would be ~/.lyx/layouts/ in my case---and then launch LyX, hit Tools>Reconfigure, close, and relaunch. Will the change of the environment variable affect other programs as well? This seems to be a regression. Until this is fixed, you can use the following workaround: In Terminal.app, type "export LANG=de_DE" and then start Lyx from within that Terminal window with "/Applications/LyX.app/Contents/MacOS/lyx". Adapt the above path to where you have your LyX.app, and change the german de_DE to e.g. fr_FR for French, etc. This will not affect any other applications since the above LANG setting is only in effect in this one Terminal window. If you would want to do this permanently (and system-wide), you can use the http://www.rubicode.com/Software/RCEnvironment/ preference pane and set LANG to whatever the termnial command defaults read "Apple Global Domain" AppleLocale tells you. 2 Abstracts, 1 German
Hi all, I am completing my PhD-Thesis in lyx. The thesis is in English, but since it's a German university, I am required to feature two abstracts, one in English, one in German. For the English abstract everything is fine: I go to the beginnig of the text, change the text to "Abstract" and start typing. The heading "Abstract" is inserted automatically. Now I inserted a page break and again changed to "Abstract". Now however, I need the German word "Zusammenfassung" as the heading. The problem is, lyx does not insert a heading at all in this second abstract. And if it did, I wouldn't know how to change it. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot, Sebastian
