Try cleaning the serfus, where you want your lable. If it is oilly at all, lable tape won't stick. That said, there are some serfuses that just won't take a Braille lable tape. If that is your situation, you could use Pen Friend. It uses sticky-backed paper dots that you use the Pen Friend to record your information. Best of luck. Re: marking memory sticks
I think it is called the Pen Friend. Get hold of your local Commision for the blind and ask them, they might give you one free. The cost is about $150 I think? They are great for all kinds of little things. I use mine for a list of phone numbers. Instead of having to turn on my computer to look up a number, i just click the dot and the list that I recorded is read to me. I also list all my kids birthdays and special dates onto a tag, the tag goes onto the frig and when I want to remember a birdthday of someone I just let the pen read what I have recorded. I have also listed all my CD's and flash drives. You can put as much material onto a recording as you want. I played around with my wife and put a dot onto her forhead and made suggestions of her IQ and her love for me...? ...Ha! You can use it anywhere, on luggage or even in books for notes. On TV for remembering what station plays what or when? On Clothes, shoes, canned goods, stuff you put into freezer and more... Re: Question: Rewinding in Windows Media Player?
Hey Alexandra well first ctrl shift f stands for fast, not particularly fast forward. The way you can fast forward is to tab to the seak option and then right and left arrow, for pretty large movements. My Recommendation is to switch to a more blind friendly music player. There are quite allot, and personally I have 2 favorits ah maybe 3. :-) 1. VLC player which originally is a video player you also can use for music playing and all other kind of standard media files. 2. MaPler which I can't recommend buying any more as even how good it is they are not doing much updating on it. 3. Good old Winamp. All these can do fast tracking both forward and backwards with no problems what so ever. Re: Winamp Home Page
these guys are ambitious. they offer free streaming and music file storage to broadcasters with them inserting ads. On their iPhone app, they save user bookmarks in the cloud so they don't get lost when changing devices or platforms. It was disappointing that AOL never added this functionality to Winamp. It seemed that the program was stuck in the early 2000s and had not added or considered the technology of today. Re: marking memory sticks
Get better tape for your label maker. You have tape with too little glue on it. I use the label maker you described all the time. Re: New member but no list postings received
Greetings, Maybe you can tell us a little about your audio experiences? Maybe you need help? Please come back as there are plenty here with vast experience who can assist in many areas. I, for instance, am a keen user of GoldWave, though at present, I am on WindowsXP Home and my access technology is Jaws, V.10 on this laptop and V.11 on my desktop, I have GoldWave V5.70 on both which, so far as I am aware, is still the latest version (at least for my system) maybe there are later programs capable of working with Windows7 and/or Windows8 of which, because I am still on XP Home, the update routines have not made me aware. I have been using GoldWave since 2006 most of the time in it's basic form this suits me for the areas I use, I do know very well. Colin Howard, who, by the Lord's providence has lived at his present address near Fareham in Southern England, since February 1992 hopes not to move in the near future.
