Hi,

had similar problems. It was my complex wifi SID password. Please test
it with an easy one like 12345 if it works.

2016-08-19 Thread Mr. Floppy

great work. I use it from the beginning and all new versions better than
previous one.

Short question from my side. Is it possible to implement a VPN client? I
will explain why. Sometimes, if I visit friends, I miss my music. I have
a special rasp that includes a VPN client and squeezelite. The VPN dial
into my network and the squeezelite connect to my LMS. With that
combination, I can hear my music everywhere. I only need a LAN cable.

That function is really nice and I miss it in piCorePlayer.

After using a different one like "www.google.de" its working. For me it

2016-03-28 Thread Mr. Floppy

Hi,

I am using piCorePlayer since long time ago. Its a great piece of
software. Thanks for that.

Right now I saw a strange behavior with original raspberry touch screen
and want to know if other people have same issue. (its not related to
picore!!!)

The touchscreen having two flat cable to connect the screen. One of them
(small one) is for the touch capability. I get today the second time the
error that my touch function doesn't work correct. First time the flat
cable was disconnected (several month before). Today it has a bad
connection and the display doesn't work correct. I open the case and
plugin the cable again and its now working fine. It looks for me that
the flat cable slide out of the connection after several weeks/month. I
fix the cable right now with a piece of Tesa.

Have some other people saw that?

2015-05-23 Thread Mr. Floppy

Hi,

I tried latest version and first 1.19. Every time the same. Strange
thing is, after plug in LAN and Wifi I am able to use both. So I open a
ssh with putty, login and type dmesg and get following:

Code:

  [2.978713] usb 1-1.3: new high-speed USB device number 4 using dwc_otg
  [3.080439] usb 1-1.3: New USB device found, idVendor=7392, idProduct=7811

  [3.080506] usb 1-1.3: Manufacturer: Realtek
  [3.080522] usb 1-1.3: SerialNumber: 00e04c01

So its same version as that one is running.
iwconfig shows me

Code:

  wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn  ESSID:JuSt  Nickname:WIFI@REALTEK
  Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.462 GHz  Access Point: E8:94:F6:F9:AB:9D

But after I unplug the LAN connection wifi also drop and I lost my ssh

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite

2015-05-23 Thread Mr. Floppy

Hi,

I use fing to see whats going on in my network. After connecting LAN and
go to Web config I setup wifi. At console I make an iwconfig and
ifconfig. I see that wifi is established and wifi gets an IP address.

I make a cat to /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf and see here my wifi
configuration.

After reboot without lan the /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf is empty* and wifi
doesn't work. Than I connect LAN again and wait until eth0 gets an IP.
Than I start the web config page, go to wifi, wait until available wifi
networks are shown, configure my wifi again and press safe. After a few
seconds wlan is online and gets an IP. I see that with ifconfig an
iwconfig.

From that point I can start a ssh and web config session over wlan IP.
Now /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf contains again my configuration. But this
is only working if I have also a LAN connection. Without LAN nothing is
working.

This is the empty /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

Code:

  tc@piCorePlayer:/etc$ cat wpa_supplicant.conf
  # reading passphrase from stdin
  Passphrase must be 8..63 characters
  tc@piCorePlayer:/etc$

Hi,

I get yesterday the CSOS-Wandboard-Quad-F19-R2-20130910-1.img.7z image
and was a little bit unhappy because it doesn't fit at my 8GB card. So I
need to bought a bigger one. So I bought it from the dealer nearby and
start the tests.

I run several FLAC and MP3 and everything runs fine except HD Files.
Files with 24/96 are down-sampled to 48KHz. I connect the Wandboard via
HDMI.

The funny thing is, DTS Multi-Channel files runs perfect.

Any tips for me?

Thx

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite

2013-08-27 Thread Mr. Floppy

Hi,

is it possible that the bit perfect issue comes from the following?

.CHANNELS_MAX = 2

Code:

  High resolution audio through HDMI:
  Thanks to the suggestion from giantpopples from the squeezbox forum and the
work by tghewett from the raspberry pi forum it is now possible to stream high
resolution audio through the HDMI cable. Before the raspberry pi would
down-sample everything to 48 kHz. But we modified the bcm2835-pcm.c and build
the kernel. Now it is possible to stream 88.1 kHz and 96 kHz through HDMI. It
might be possible even to use up to 192 kHZ, but I have not received any report
on this.
  Original:
  .formats = SNDRV_PCM_FMTBIT_U8 | SNDRV_PCM_FMTBIT_S16_LE,
  .rates = SNDRV_PCM_RATE_CONTINUOUS | SNDRV_PCM_RATE_8000_48000,
  .rate_min = 8000,
  .rate_max = 48000,
  .channels_min = 1,
  .channels_max = 2,

  Changed to:
  .formats = SNDRV_PCM_FMTBIT_U8 | SNDRV_PCM_FMTBIT_S16_LE |
SNDRV_PCM_FMTBIT_S32_LE,
  .rates = SNDRV_PCM_RATE_CONTINUOUS | SNDRV_PCM_RATE_8000_192000,
  .rate_min = 8000,
  .rate_max = 192000,
  .channels_min = 1,
  .channels_max = 2,

 I would suggest that you edit /opt/bootlocal.sh (100 = 100%) and either
 run filetool.sh -b or use the picoplayer setup program to make the

Good point to look at /opt/bootlocal.sh. It is 100. That looks like 87
for PCM. With amixer I can see that max value is 400. I setup it to 400
( amixer set PCM 400 unmute )and voila it is now 100%. That error is
resolved. But not the error with multi channel flac that are playable in
the original SB Touch.

So I will see if somebody find a solution:-)

Hi,

thanks for the hint. I run alsamixer and setup 100%. I try to safe this
value with sudo alsactl store but after a reboot its not 100%. Any
hint?

I also try it before a reboot with 100% but I get only a white noise.

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite

2013-08-19 Thread Mr. Floppy

Hi,

I play a little bit with the 1.06 version. A really nice piece of soft
and hardware. I play some files in 24/192 over HDMI without problems. I
try also some DTS flac files that runs with my touch without a problem
but with pico I only hear white noise. Normally this error occur if the
sound volume is not 100%. I check the setup in LMS but this looks good.
Under player setup in LMS the output is fix to 100%.

Is there a setting under pico to resolve this error. Have somebody play
DTS or AC3 files with pico and get no error?

hi,

a short question. Is it possible to put the output what song is playing
(also cover) to the hdmi? Like squeezeplayer. That can be a nice
