Upstream supported releases already contain this fix. So if one was

Nothing to add, really, other than the system is amd64 and nethogs was
installed right after updating everything else. Looks like the fix has
just never been pushed to Jessie.

aghermann-1.0.9 can be built with gcc-6 and thus closes the bug.
The bug was actually fixed in 1.0.8, which somehow didn't make it to unstable.
