In the case of ubuntu 22.04 you are lucky, but with Debian there is e.g. only 2.3.19 and if you want 2.3.21 then only the community repo would remain. And e.g. for RHEL 9 the version I can get via RHEL Repo is 2.3.16. Get dovecot via the community repo would be the best in my optinion. Provided
