"please wait" dialog opens and the progress bar just moves back and forth.
It is like it is in an infinite loop so end up cancelling.

I want to use Thunderbird 1.5.09 to access an MS Exchange server via
IMAP4 over SSL. This used to work rather nicely. I used a threaded
