I believe you will need to pick "setup printer" from the print dialog and pick
the type of printer you are using. This is what did the trick for me.

So that's my question in a nutshell. I will be getting a new external hard
drive later this week. My father and some friends told me that some programs
can run off of an external hard drive so that you can use the same program on
multiple computers without having to install the program on all
I saw a note somewhere that said work is being done in GIMP to output swf
(Macromedia Flash) formatted files.
Does anybody have a report on this effort? Will we have Flash-authoring
capability in GIMP?

Opened in Netscape 4.61 under Linux. Using Plugger plugin for png files. It
displays as black, too. Opened the graphic in GIMP and then saved with the "Save
background color" unchecked: no difference. I suspect the plugin doesn't handle
the transparency properly.

mine do. Cropping leaves you with a rectangular image which, without a
transparent background, causes annoying white (or whatever your background color
is) artifacts outside the rounded corners.

The brush selector has brushes of different sizes. In the brush
options, click on the brush icon. It hides the selector. It wasn't
obvious to me, either.
