To duplicate this behavior, use the tear off menu function on Linux.

Hi Gimp users, I'd like to know if there is a (simple) way to load the curves

way that allows me to define the horizon by a path. If the

Gimp works in pixels, and whole numbers, there is a round up/round down
involved.
1000 / 650 is a ratio of 1.53846.. mult

Canvas size remains the same, border is inside the canvas.
You are stroking a selection, the width of the stroke is half inside the canvas,
hence the need to double the requir

It sounds to me like the problem is that you are confusing "same amount"
with "same proportion". They are _not_ the same

To put it slightly differently you can think of the aspect ratio as being the
width divided by the height.
400/200 = 2.0
420/220 = 1.90909

Does it seem like this question comes up on a monthly basis?
GIMP could REALLY use some ability to make ad-hoc edits to its otherwise
ready-only assets (gradients and brush dynamics, vector brushes, etc.).
Requiring users to duplicate one of these before they're allowed to change any
of those
"...if you can't duplicate something from the Gradient editor then go to the
Gradients list and duplicate it from there."
No can do either way.
