+1 (there is also warnings about close way ends where the way is a
barrier). IMHO JOSM should not encourage people at all to
recently I started to use multipolygons to save ways. For instance I
draw a closed way and tag it with barrier=fence. Then I make a
multipolygon-relation where I add the way as outer and assign a
landuse. The Josm-Validator gives me a strange warning about this:

I have recently big issues with WMS-resolution. Has the default
behaviour changed? It looks to me as if JOSM would change the
resolution automatically. Can you confirm this? Is this supposed to be

handling, which is the suggested way to avoid duplicate nodes and
ways? Usually this gets preceded by an error during upload with the

There seems to be a restriction against deletion of bigger ways? I
found 2 overlapping ways with each more than 100 nodes:

and wanted to delete the smaller one, but JOSM won't do it (there is
