Has the thermostat been tested to confirm it's working properly? It seems
that thermostats can fail early. Also if the radiator is old, it could be
partially blocked. What are the hose temps coming out of the radiator?

I'm a fan of replacing the whole blade assembly as someone else pointed out.
The tension goes out of them over time and they don't work as well. For a
few bucks it's a great safety item. Nothing worse than driving with smears
all over the window. Also put a bit of windshield wiper detergent into

and I would not use one that is more than a few months old. Ubuntu have just
gone to version 7.10 which addresses a lot of issues. One of the issues I
have is with my video card which seems to have been addressed in 7.10
