The Squeezebox website now says you can pre-order for shipment on
October 1.
Hey Logitech, I know you're working hard and I'm sure 99% of us don't
mind waiting an extra few days or even weeks for the Radio. But it would
be good customer service to email people who pre-ordered telling them

Nope. Boom ships with a 12v adapter but Radio is designed for 18v, and
needs 18v to charge the optional bat

Yes, I did factory reset. No change.

Out of curiosity, were there enough of them made to fill all the
pre-orders? The reason I ask is because I ordered mine from Amazon just
a couple of days ago. Clearly, this puts me pretty far down the queue.

Get this. I have the Radio on my desk along with the Touch and am
playing with the IR remote input on the Touch. Both players are
receiving the IR signals, but I'm not paying any attention to the Radio.
If it does something silly I just reach over and stop playback, turn it
off or pull the power
I really want to listen to Queen, but I can't access anything under "My
Apps" because it thinks my players are registered to another user. I've
gotten no help in the forum and my message to support hasn't been
answered yet.
I'm sure support is being hit hard, but I was hoping it was a simple

Thanks for the info. When you say you will "begin" shipping preorders,
roughly how long will it take to fill all the preorders?

Considering I would have bought the Radio over the internet it's too
much of a risk and simply too much hassle to buy it only to find the
knob is not an adequate replacement for a snooze button, so I'll be
waiting for the successor Radio II, or buying an alternative to replace
my decrepit Sony FM

Yes, but removing power will require a complete Radio re-boot (guessing
around 60 seconds). But yes it will then start playing the station it
was playing when it was turned off (removed power).
In a more normal usage mode, the Radio will be turned off (actually,
standby) by pressing the Power bu

It's not showing as an option on the Logitech or Amazon stores over

The radios were not released from our dc's until yesterday morning. They

We will be upgrading the shipping for everyone who pre-ordered to next

I do not have a controller. Doesn't seem like that should be a
prerequisite for playing the tracks, considering I can get the
narrative.

For Heavens sake, we've got 2 snooze buttons... that's one more than any
clock radio I've ever owned!

I read this thread with amazement. I have a SB Radio on order with
Amazon, I placed the order on Sept 3 and simply assumed that a product
marketed as a bedside radio (with alarm) would have a snooze button.
This is the most basic of functionality. The Boom, of which I have 3,
is frankly too bi
Snooze buttons are for sissies:-)
