You will probably need to change components to get it to tune up. Any coil that
won't peak needs a cap change. And when I say peak, while tuning it must come
up to the peak and then be able to tune past the peak (come back down on the
other side).

Surge protection on the feedline and none on the AC power is the same as
none at all. I'm assuming a single-point ground system with adequate ground

It is a noticeable loss when the leaves come out. I've pretty much noticed
that a fairly noisy signal with no leaves becomes unreadable when the leaves

since there would be less density to attenuate the signal.

Contact Sinclair, Comprod, TX/RX Systems or Telewave directly. They all sell
direct to hams, I believe. All can provide what you desire. All will be
expensive.

I believe the Sinclair ham discount is 25% off list and their list prices

Another point is what service is the intended repeater to be used in? Ham?
OK, play around and learn. If it's for the fire service where public safety
is concerned, leave the repeaters to the pros.

Anyone who can run their repeater in carrier squelch without problems doesn't
know how lucky they are. Neither my 440 machines or my 6-meter machine can run
without it for various reasons. And since they are linked to other repeaters,
it becomes even more important.

The least expensive route would be a PA from an MVP/ExecII/Mastr II.
However, with that said, if it were me and if I were to take it to that

Don, I don't have the site, but here's what I've found to work and hold up for
years and years. Any connections I've taken apart later looked brand new.
First, get the right tape. Scotch 33+ electrical tape is what I use.
Begin wrapping on the coax, applying the tape while slightly stretching it
Whomever locates the best price, post it here. I've always purchased at an
electrical supply house and get a box of ten rolls at a time for a slightly
better price. The first box I bought was somewhere around $18.50, so you can
see I've been purchasing it for a long time.

88 was supposed to be a better tape for use (applied) in cold weather. 33+
