After upgrading to 12.10 I can't get webapps running with using Firefox.
When going to Edit - > Preferences -> General there is no Desktop
integration.

It was some faulty hardware issue (probably when downloading the
package). I downloaded the package from http://packages.ubuntu.com/ and
when running dpkg -i with the new downloaded package all was good.

The bug still "lives" in lucid. I have a freshly installed lucid x64 system and
after i enter my password the computer freezes.
CPU: AMD Sempron 3000+
Mobo: Gigabyte K8NS (rev 2) with F21A BIOS (the latest). I didn't find anything
related to cool & quiet in BIOS.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 4850 x2 and after installing the fglrx driver with the
restricted driver manager,
the display dosen't work anymore. I really need for the fglrx driver for 3D
accel and because the video card is very noisy (it has 2 coolers on).
I'm using Jaunty Beta x86_64.

I'm pretty sure it's a kernel problem because I recompiled a Ubuntu Kernel
(2.6.27) on Hardy and it had the same effect.
Now I'm using Intrepid Ibex Beta and when the system boots up, at some point

I get very low transfer rates with the 2.6.24-19 kernel. I switched back
to 2.6.24-16 kernel and the problem was solved. Still what happend in
between? The drivers were fine

I tried to install Apple's Safari in Ubuntu using Wine. This dosen't work
neither with Ubuntu's Wine or with the Ubuntu packages from the Wine website.
The installer just exists and throws a "7Zip could not open file!" error.

slide Tilda and there are more prompts( they are inactive but still they
bother me). And Tilda is much slower than it's KDE equivalent Yakuake.

I've made some more test, and Windows XP sees the device as DVD-RAM, and

I downloaded the kernel from hardy, booted up with it and still nothing :|
Same thing. I'm think it has something to do with HAL or ACPI.
With the LiveCD I can see the drive identified by /dev/sr0. It uses the sr_mod
kernel module.
This is as far as I could get.
