Re: [AI] Locker Facility for the Blind

2019-01-29 Thread Amit Bhatt

Bhavani,

You have given a new direction to this discussion.
What important point to be noticed that many of us do passbook printing job
on our own tricks and tectics against accessibility of core banking
solutions applications being used.
As you said, a VI banker can be punished if any wrong entry is made by him
due to inaccessibility, what should be an ideal situation? If you don't do,
you would be questioned, if you do, you may be wrong some time and then
again you would be questioned in spite of knowing the fact that the CBS
setup is not accessible for a blind bank employee.

Madam, bankers follows "banking law and practice". the detailed
explaination you have given is a banking practice not law.
E.G. Many totally blind bank workmen and officers are doing passbook
printing job. for the purpose a customer have to tell them their account
number, right direction of passbook to be inserted in to the printer, and
last the open the blank page to print forward. in this case employee can
not compale customer to do the above job which has already been a duty of
an employee. It is a customer's point whether he will do it or not. If any
wrong entry will be done by the blind employee, in present banking cinario
the employee will definitely be hanged if any complaint raise by the
customer.
2. Most of the bank branches are running with shortage of staff and space,
you are lucky that you are being attended properly.
3. My point is that there should be a clearcut guideline that who will
escort a totally blind customer in the bank if he or she operate locker
indipendently. In Your case the officer is not following the framed rules
instead he is helping you on humanity. after entering details on the
register, he should take one witness if you sign, 2 wintnesses if you put
thumb impression. suppose if you raise any complaint in future the officer
will definitely be punished, whether it is true or false.
4. I quote another example. we have opened a saving account of one deaf
and domb person who is 20 years old under guardianship with his mother.
the person can not talk, listen, read and write. just opened an account
for viklang bhatta given by social welfare department. I have opened his
account under guardianship because his inability to cummunicate
indipendently with bank officials. but, only in case of mentally retired
persons, above 18 years of age we can open a guardianship account if he
obtain a trustyship certificate from the district authority. There is no
clearcut guideline on the above matter.

I operate my locker independently. It is in joint names but I go alone to
the locker facility then I ask for my locker to be opened. I give my
locker number. The bank officer writes the information in the register and
then he takes his own key.
We walk together to my locker. He inserts his key and leaves and then I
insert my key and open it and do whatever I want and then I close it. Then
I call for the officer he checks the locker and then we leave. I sign the
register and then the security guard escorts me to the entrance of the
facility and I am out on the road.
I have written this in detail so that there should not be any question of
how we will manage. Its been nearly 5 years since I have been operating
this locker. However I must say that I haven’t applied for this locker. It
is held by my family jointly.

If you just wanna have a quality digital voice recorder with accessibility,
I too would suggest you to use Olympus recorder. Their DM series is known
for good accessible recording devices.
I don't think the other multipurpose audio devices are better than the
Olympus in terms of recording and producing a quality sound but these
accessible Olympus devicess are hard to find here in India. You can still
try on: www.amazon.in

Yes, technically it is possible for a blind customer to operate a locker

In my opinion, this facility should also be given to VI's consumers after

Re: [AI] Keypad android phones.

2019-01-29 Thread habeeb
Samsung galaxy folder 2 is not officially available in India as per
Samsung India website. I
informed this to Amazon India after which they delisted it from their website.

Jivi TNT3 does not support typing with the InBuilt physical key pad as
informed by their customer care; however, other functions can be
performed with help of that physical key pad.

Re: [AI] Locker Facility for the Blind

2019-01-29 Thread Kanchan Pamnani
I operate my locker independently. It is in joint names but I go alone to the
locker facility then I ask for my locker to be opened. I give my locker number.
The bank officer writes the information in the register and then he takes his
own key.
We walk together to my locker. He inserts his key and leaves and then I insert
my key and open it and do whatever I want and then I close it. Then I call for
the officer he checks the locker and then we leave. I sign the register and
then the security guard escorts me to the entrance of the facility and I am out
on the road.
I have written this in detail so that there should not be any question of how
we will manage. Its been nearly 5 years since I have been operating this
locker. However I must say that I haven’t applied for this locker. It is held
by my family jointly.

the recent scribe declaration released by NIACL for the recruitment of

the issue erupted for which the court put a stay. your answers would
help a lot,

very right, if both passengers are disabled, better to choose second
passenger as an escort. system won't a lot middle birth to disabled
passenger. if one can choose general quota then middle or upper birth can

With regards to HP birth quota in 3rd ac, Eyeway had filed RTI in
IRCTC. In response to that, IRCTC has replied that there are 2 birth
quota in 3rd ac 1 lower for Disabled and second middle birth for

It simply means that an escort birth can not be allot to other

booked for 1 disabled and other for escort and I got success to get

weather disabled or escort gets status as per current general quota
availability. It means if general quota is in waiting then the second
person

will get waiting ticket.
Now adding to this problem, the second passenger who's ticket is booked
with

disabled person, gets the status as per the boarding station.
Let me clarify my point, Train no 12138 leaves Firozpur cant on 3rd March
has 16 seats available in 3rd ac, This train reaches Burhanpur on 4th
March
and general quota waiting list is RLWL1, 2 seats are available in HP
quota.
Now I book ticket from Burhanpur toCSMT Mumbai, I got 1 ticket confirmed
and

second ticket was given RLWL 2 in HP quota.
Note the second passenger is also disabled.
After booking this ticket when I checked the position of HP quota for same
train and for same date, it is showing Not available. than where the 1
seat

has gone? HP quota is reserved for any station irrispective of boarding
station which is not same as train originating station, than why second
passenger was not given confirmed ticket even there were 16 seats
available

from originating station?

together we can and we will make the differnce Zoher

Hi Harish,
Thanks for your reply.
Are you sure evo e5 and evo e10 have external microphone inputs?
I'm asking this because when I called Saksham Delhi, they told me that ther
is no microphone input in evo e5 or evo e10, hence we cannot connect an
external microphone to record.
Saksham said that there is only headphone input jack.
So could you or anyone on the list confirm if there is a microphone input
jack on the Evo models to connect an external microphone to record my
lectures?
If yes, could you also let me know where is the external microphone input
jack on the evo recorders? Is it on the top or the bottom or the side?
Thanks and regards,

Hi Pranaya, besides Jivi Revolution tnt3; you have Blackberry Keyone, which
is updated to Android 8 Oreo now. The Next advancement is Blackberry Key2
followed by Blackberry Key2 LE. However, the prices range between 35K to
43K. See the latest prices on amazon. Thanks

[AI] Friends, please suggest a good digital voice recorder

2019-01-29 Thread Rishi Kewalramani
Hi friends,
Need your valuable suggestions for an accessible digital voice recorder
please.
So my main purpose is to record my lectures with good voice recording
quality through an external microphone.
I'm not looking for a daisy player or a multi e book player etc.
I'm Just looking for a good accessible digital voice recorder to be used
with an external microphone.
But just to talk about accessible multi digital players, I believe evo e5
and e10 dont have an external microphone jack? Am I right?
Does anyone know if angel or angel pro has an external microphone jack?

I've heard of Olympus digital voice recorders, is anyone aware of an
accessible olympus voice recorder which announces basic things like Onn,
Off, recording started, recording stopped, and reading the names of the
recorded files etc?

So would really appreciate if you all could please guide me for a good
digital voice recorder with an external microphone jack facility.
My budget is around 10k.
Many thanks in advance,
Sincere regards,
Rishi
