Subject: Re: [AI] Regarding recovering files from a corrupt copy of windows.

Most of the time, we need to slipstream the drivers of our usb sound
device. Over last one and half years, I am working to solve some of the
major issues I encountered during my professional career. Even after
adding drivers to Win PE, sound card with complex structure will not
work. Some of the time, even USB sound card also failes work with newer
systems, because usb hub itself not supported with Win PE. In such case
we have to add necessary drivers of that particular system (chipset and
usb drivers) into Win PE image. Most of the time, this is not a
practical solution for a professional technician like me. Adding more
stuff into win PE will make it bigger in size and it will claim more
memory. The ultimate problem is, when we increase the size of Win PE, it
will not work with older systems with low memory.

Will it not work if I have a USB speaker or headphone?

no.
the drive letter x is associated with the virtual drive of win pe.
so look for any drive letter other than x.
regarding devices not working.
dont install windows from the win pe itself.
after your system is fully started up and nvda starts.
remove what ever is on your pendrive and copy the folders of the

from your windows iso
after just run setup.exe and it will start installing.

Re: [AI] Regarding recovering files from a corrupt copy of windows.

2014-03-21 Thread Naushad Charivilayil

Will it not work if I have a USB speaker or headphone?

even after formatting, you can recover files with the help of some
file recovery software like recuva.
or you can put your hard disk in another system as secondary hard disk
and copy all the required files without any problem.
or you can install operating system again in another partisan and copy
the files to your desired location and format both the drives with

 Hello friends,
We are using windows7 in our home desktop.
The windows somehow got corrupted and hence the system can't be booted.
It contains some importent files in C: mainly in my documents and
 downloads directories.
Further more, it is not possible to install windows without formatting
c: and and get the files back from windows.old directory because
partition size is small and other partitions also contain a lot of
 data.
I am told by somebuddy that we can either boot our system from a live
cd of either ubuntu or vinux and copy the files on an external HDD.
 Is it possible?
If yes then, Please provide any podcast/ tutorial which explaines the
step by step process to do so.
Your help will be highly appritiated.
 Thanks,
 Ajay

can benefit a lot of other friends as well.
 3. Suryanarayana: Files are really important so can't trust on a
