Re: [AI] twitter query
Dear Anirban sir, Yes, the twitter website is accessible. It is easy to read tweets and do other things such as Tweeting etc. you need to create an account with Twitter in order to use the service. I do not remember the accessibility of signing up process with Twitter. I hope it is accessible. The twitter app of android is mostly accessible, so is the I Phone and Kindle app. I am told that there are some twitter client apps available in android which creates a better accessible experience. Hope this helps you. Re: [AI] Twitter on TV: Airtel DTH subscribers can now watch theirtweets live
Hi I guess something is wrong here. DTH is just a reciever with no capability to transmit. If the digital box is really a modem, then why call it a DTH? I know it is possible to recieve messages on DTH,but there is no means to send messages this way. Harish Kotian - Original Message - From: "Vikas Kapoor" To: "AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issuesconcerning thedisabled." Sent: Monday, October 21, 2013 10:33 PM Subject: [AI] Twitter on TV: Airtel DTH subscribers can now watch theirtweets live Airtel Digital TV subscribers can now watch their tweets live on their television screen. This has been made possible by the company through a partnership with Twitter. "A revolutionary convergence of tweeting and television viewing, the concept is an innovation in the DTH industry across the world and it allows customers to experience Twitter on TV," Airtel Digital TV said in a statement. Customers have to press the green key on their Airtel Digital TV remote to enable and access the service. They can send their tweets with the specific hash-tags prompted on their TV screen and it shall be broadcast live by Airtel Digital TV The service will start tomorrow. To begin with, the service is available on select TV channels but will be extended to others, according to the statement. "Your tweets will be broadcast live and you can read your tweets on the TV screen along with the tweets of your favourite celebrities," the statement said. The service is powered by Brizz TV and can be accessed by all the customers across the country on any set-top-box at no additional cost, it said. "Given the ever increasing popularity of Twitter across the globe with over 500 million Tweets generated every day ...all our customers will now be a part of the convergence phenomenon along with the rest of the world," Airtel Digital TV CEO Shashi Arora said. "We are excited to see partners like Airtel innovating with our platform and helping their audience connect with the TV programmes they love," Twitter Vice President (Business Development and Platform) Jana Messerschmidt said. http://www.financialexpress.com/news/twitter-on-tv-airtel-dth-subscribers-can-now-watch-their-tweets-live/1185382 Vikas Kapoor, Mobile: (+91) 9891098137 Skype Id: dl_vikas Register at the dedicated AccessIndia list for discussing accessibility of mobile phones / Tabs on: http://mail.accessindia.org.in/mailman/listinfo/mobile.accessindia_accessindia.org.in Search for old postings at: http://www.mail-archive.com/accessindia@accessindia.org.in/ To unsubscribe send a message to accessindia-requ...@accessindia.org.in with the subject unsubscribe. Hi George, Tweetdeck has that capability. But unfortunately, it's not yet accessible with screen readers. Re: [AI] Twitter users! Accessible twitter client for win7 64 bit?
The best thing aboiut twitter is its very accessible image ccapture. The audio they provide is so clear that it doesn't require sighted assistance. Accessible twitter client for win7 64 bit? Dear Twitter Users, I am not a good twitter user as such. But, I can see that it has become very informative resource for circulating information in realtime basis. Now, checking every tweet on its website is not possible. So, could you recommend me any good client? Just to name a few about which I hardly know anything, are mctwit, jawter and qwitter. These are good that's what I have found on google. However, your recommendations are more valuable than these websites. So, help me to get started! Regards, Amar Jain.
