Hi, you can also use the twitter site with the help of shortcut keys. For
this you have to switch to focus mode in NVDA or turn off vertual mode in
jaws. It's a nice experience using twitter this way.

Re: [AI] twitter query

2015-09-13 Thread Tony Kurian
Dear Anirban sir,
Yes, the twitter website is accessible. It is easy to read tweets and
do other things such as Tweeting etc. you need to create an account
with Twitter in order to use the service. I do not remember the
accessibility of signing up process with Twitter. I hope it is
accessible.
The twitter app of android is mostly accessible, so is the I Phone and
Kindle app. I am told that there are some twitter client apps
available in android which creates a better accessible experience.
Hope this helps you.
Warm regards,
Tony Kurian

To begin with choose twitter as the session type and give your username as
the session name. Then click the ok button. You will then be guided.

Hi,

I have already installed it but when I am pressing enter then 2 options are
coming 1 session tipe -sstaf watch and twitter,
Another option is new session name, so whatever we select type of session
that will automatically select in session, then OK and cancel button is
coming.
Therefore I am confused.

1. Download the cube. Google "The Cube" twitter client. You will find the
download links.

2. Once downloaded, install the software. Again one would be clearly

3. once installed. Press enter button and the twitter client will open. The
first time, you will need to enter the username and the password. Next time

The Cube.

The whole thing is pretty simple, even a guy like me who is no good with

Hi George

You can download TheQube from here:
http://theqube.oire.org/

It is a commandline client which is very convenient to use. In other words,
it is not displayed as a separate window on the computer, but can be
accessed from wherever you are on the computer using specific keystrokes.
TheQube is a free client.

Another commandline Twitter client that is popular among the blind is
Chicken Nugget. This is very similar to TheQube as regards the shortcut
keys
used, and was developed by the same guy who pioneered the concept of
commandline Twitter clients for the blind with the introduction of Qwitter,
which is now obsolete.
Chicken Nugget costs $15.

Try TheQube to begin with. If it does not work on your computer for some
reason, then explore Chicken Nugget.

Hope this helps.
Geetha

Well a twitter client like The Cube allows you to engage with twitter
without logging onto website and bothering about navigating around looking
for tweats, and where to tweat from etc. Everything gets downloaded . You
must try it out.

Re: [AI] Twitter on TV: Airtel DTH subscribers can now watch theirtweets live

2013-10-21 Thread harish

Hi
I guess something is wrong here. DTH is just a reciever with no capability
to transmit.

If the digital box is really a modem, then why call it a DTH?
I know it is possible to recieve messages on DTH,but there is no means to
send messages this way.

Subject: [AI] Twitter on TV: Airtel DTH subscribers can now watch
theirtweets live

Airtel Digital TV subscribers can now watch their tweets live on their
television screen. This has been made possible by the company through a
partnership with Twitter.

"A revolutionary convergence of tweeting and television viewing, the
concept is an innovation in the DTH industry across the world and it
allows customers to experience Twitter on TV," Airtel Digital TV said in a
statement.

Customers have to press the green key on their Airtel Digital TV remote to
enable and access the service. They can send their tweets with the
specific hash-tags prompted on their TV screen and it shall be broadcast
live by Airtel Digital TV

The service will start tomorrow. To begin with, the service is available
on select TV channels but will be extended to others, according to the
statement.

"Your tweets will be broadcast live and you can read your tweets on the TV
screen along with the tweets of your favourite celebrities," the statement
said.

The service is powered by Brizz TV and can be accessed by all the
customers across the country on any set-top-box at no additional cost, it
said.

"Given the ever increasing popularity of Twitter across the globe with
over 500 million Tweets generated every day ...all our customers will now
be a part of the convergence phenomenon along with the rest of the world,"
Airtel Digital TV CEO Shashi Arora said.

"We are excited to see partners like Airtel innovating with our platform
and helping their audience connect with the TV programmes they love,"
Twitter Vice President (Business Development and Platform) Jana
Messerschmidt said.

Hi George,
Tweetdeck has that capability. But unfortunately, it's not yet
accessible with screen readers.

Best,
Vasu

Subject: [AI] Twitter users! Accessible twitter client for win7 64 bit?

Dear Twitter Users,
I am not a good twitter user as such. But, I can see that it has become
very informative resource for circulating information in realtime basis.
Now, checking every tweet on its website is not possible.
So, could you recommend me any good client?
Just to name a few about which I hardly know anything, are mctwit,
jawter and qwitter.
These are good that's what I have found on google.
However, your recommendations are more valuable than these websites.
So, help me to get started!
Regards,
Amar Jain.
