Hi James,

As I mentioned, there is no Google Ads API report for household income. You can 
use the reports I mentioned to get data on parental status, age range and 
gender.

this is about the Google Ads API, not the Adwords API.

Can you provide similar guidance for the Ads API? I was told to switch to
the Ads API by someone on the support threads to retrieve household income
data.

Hi James,

Using AdWords API, you can look at the field name's Display name to see what 
the field should be name in the UI. For example, Criteria for the Age Range 
Performance Report will show as Age range in the UI. This guide shows what API 
report maps to what in the UI.

You can use this guide to see what API reports from AdWords API map to which 
reports in Google Ads API. While there is no Household income report currently, 
you can use the parental_status_view, age_range_view and gender_view 
respectively.

I've worked through the issues with the google ads API and now have it 
running, but there is little documentation in terms of mapping available 
from the UI to the API using AdWords Query Language.. 

In the Google Ads API, how can i get the same information for Demographics 
(Parental Status, Age, Household Income, Gender) from the UI. What are 
those fields called:

Thank you for clarifying this. The AdWords API is only able to display the same 
data as the old AdWords UI. It is likely that this will be fixed in the AdWords 
API. You could explore the option of trying this with the new Google Ads API 
and see if you can fetch the Income/demographic data through the API.

Thank you for bumping this thread.

In the AdWords API, the INCOME_RANGE criteria type, currently, can only be 
retrieved via the Criteria Performance Report. The said report type is also a 
single attribution type, meaning, only the criteria type deemed by AdWords as 
most relevant would be returned and all statistics would be associated to the 
said criteria. In your scenario, the keyword type was the one that was selected 
by the system.

Also, since this is already an old thread and for better tracking, I would 
recommend that you create a new one with the details of your concern and we can 
continue our discussion from there.

I tried to get via the API the performance (impressions, clicks, cost, 
etc..) per INCOME_RANGE criteria type, but seems like all performance data 
is associated just to the Keywords.
How can I get the performance of a criteria in ad-group level?

Thank you for sharing the details privately. Based on this article
  
Household

Income is only supported for Video Campaigns in the old UI and it is
supported for Display, Search and Video campaigns in the New UI. There is
now a new AdWords UI available that does display income ranges for various
types of campaigns. The old AdWords UI only supports income ranges for
video campaigns. The AdWords API is only currently able to display the same
data as the old AdWords UI, and the AdWords API does tend to lag a little
behind in picking up new features in the AdWords UI. In your case, you
don't have any video campaigns; that's why you're not seeing income range.
We have raised a feature request with the team. Please keep an eye on our

criteria combination. Could you please share the CID of the account, so I

Household income demographic

Hello,

We are trying to get household income performance data from Adwords so used 
Criteria Performance Report with CriteriaType "INCOME_RANGE" for the time 
period over 6 months. Adwords account shows data for same time period for 
Houehold Income under Demographics.

In API response we only get data of single campaign and single adgroup 
which has 0 impressions for "INCOME_RANGE"
For "AGE_RANGE"  blank response
For "GENDER" it seems returning correctly.

We want to calculate bids modifier using Household income data and set in 
adwords.  

Could you please check why we don't get data for "INCOME_RANGE" Criteria 
Type? Also like "Age Performance", "Gender Performance" is there any other 
report we can use to get Household income data from adwords?

the household income is only supported for Video campaigns in the old 
AdWords UI. It is supported for Display, Search and Video campaigns campaigns 
in the new UI. Currently, the AdWords API is only able to display the same 
data as the old AdWords UI. In your case, you don't have any video 
campaigns, that's why you're not seeing income range. I have raised this

You will be able to use the Criteria Performance Report 

 by 
specifying the CriteriaType 

 as INCOME_RANGE to pull the Household Income statistics. The Criteria 
Performance Report aggregates statistics at Ad group criteria level, one 
row per ad group and criteria combination. Could you please share the 
report query along with the client customer Id so I can take a closer look? 
You can reply back via Reply privately to author option.

Did you actually verify this works? When I download that exact report, 
there are no criteria types for INCOME_RANGE or AGE_RANGE returned in the 
results.

order to get the demographic criteria like GENDER, AGE_RANGE or 
INCOME_RANGE and the bid adjustment for each.
Regarding your question about downloading to Google Sheets, you may not be 
able to via AdWords API, but AdWords Scripts may do the trick. Please post
