Re: [AFMUG] mount for tower
The tower was made by Arris I believe and it took special designed mounts for the larger standoffs like this one. I would think that a fabrication shop could make what you need if given enough measurements at the height you need. Re: [AFMUG] mount for tower
I agree. I also find that when mounting to a tower sometimes you can't put the M-TOW exactly where you want it because it will hit something like a cross-member. With the 10 models you have more freedom to move mounts up and down accordingly and still meet up with the brackets on the antenna. It also helps that for quite some time due to an error I was getting the 10s cheaper than the regular M-TOWs with my distributor!! -Ty On Thu, Feb 19, 2015 at 9:31 AM, Josh Luthman j...@imaginenetworksllc.com wrote: I find a lot of products work with the 10 versus the standard 6. We use those for our ptp800 dishes and for the 450 panels Mainly use the MTOW-3P-36 for Sector mounting using the 450 gear On 02/19/2015 09:37 AM, Ken Hohhof wrote: MTOW-P http://www.wbmfg.com/products.cfm?PID=34 *From:* Vince West mailto:vi...@shelbybb.com *Sent:* Thursday, February 19, 2015 9:22 AM *To:* af@afmug.com mailto:af@afmug.com *Subject:* Re: [AFMUG] mount for tower I would use an M-TOW http://www.wbmfg.com/pdf.cfm/WBMfg-Tower%20Mount.pdf?pid=27 or M-TOW-10 http://www.wbmfg.com/pdf.cfm/WBMfg-Tower%20Mount.pdf?pid=27 (not sure what the spacing is on the bracket for the Cyclone AP). Re: [AFMUG] mount for tower
I’m just thinking you might want two points of attachment to the tower and a longer pipe for mounting a Cyclone. Another question is, since it’s an omni, how much standoff does he want from the tower to avoid the tower affecting the antenna pattern. The lower the frequency, the farther you probably need to be away from the tower.
