It's Nextcloud, and it works with Evolution and GNOME Online Accounts, as well
as with DAVx5 on Android.

Notably, it wasn't an issue when connecting to OpenDesktop.org Cloud (an older
version of Nextcloud), so I think it might be related to a change in Nextcloud.

I'm running into the same issue, and I wanted to add that for me, the usernames

Re: to get the basic access of the google ads developer token.

2024-02-27 Thread Sterling Sky
I applied for the basic token in late Decmber early January, followed up
three times with the support form
at https://support.google.com/adspolicy/contact/contact_ads_api and also
have received no response at all. I know our technical diagram was high
quality and don't understand why we haven't been approved yet.

Our MCC is 496-613-0250.

Re: [RE-wrenches] Fwd: Re: Cantilevered array

2024-02-08 Thread Sky Sims via RE-wrenches
I’ve designed and installed several thousand cantilevered arrays over the last three decades and never had a single issue. Unfortunately, code changes have taken a turn for the worse in most jurisdictions and oftentimes disallow cantilevering. Sky SimsHttps://EcologicalSystems.org732-462-3858On Jan 19, 2024, at 3:09 PM, Christopher Warfel via RE-wrenches wrote:

use conventional solar racking products.  Chris

My
earlier reply may have been a bit facetious.  What I meant
by it was that big-box solar contractors can be lazy when it
comes to solar design.  They will rely totally on satellite
imagery and not check the design on the ground.  This is how
you get solar proposed for shaded areas, where skylights and
roof vents are located, or overhanging thin air.  This may
be what is happening in the image you shared.

What
is unique here is someone actually specified overhanging
panels.  Looking more closely at the image, a roof outline
is shown but it is not clear that the outline is actually
situated over a building.  It almost looks like there is
landscaped area inside the outline.

The
solution of course is to get on out there, measure the roof
and any obstructions and analyze the shading.  I use the Sun Seeker app for IOS for the
shading analysis.

Possible bug in parquet-mr

2024-01-23 Thread Sky Brewer
Hi all,

I found a possible bug in parquet-mr. I found if you set up a read over a
parquet file with a filter that ends at the end of the file. Then read the file
again with a new filter, the last event read will be updated to be the last
event in the file, regardless of the file.

I’ve set up a reproduction in https://github.com/jacomago/parquetentrybug where
the test
src/test/java/MainTest.java<https://github.com/jacomago/parquetentrybug%20where%20the%20test%20src/test/java/MainTest.java>.
Should pass, but currently does not.

Thanks
Sky

[sage-support] Sage

2023-11-05 Thread Alexander P-sky
Hi,

I was in touch with Mathematica development team and they indicated that
currently Mathematica is not capable to determine whether

Sum[Binomial[n - 1, n - i] Sum[Binomial[k + i, i] Binomial[n - 1, n - k],
{k, 0, n}], {i, 0, n}]

= ?

(-1)^n*((-4*n^2 - 16*n - 28)*JacobiP[-1 + n, -1 - 2*n, 2, -1/2] +
JacobiP[-2 + n, -2*n, 3, -1/2]*(3 + n)*(-1 + n))*4^n/(48*(1 + n)*n)

Could you check whether Sage has such capability?

Thanks,
Best regards,
Alexander R. Povolotsky

sky commented on NIFI-12187:

Hello, the problem I have is that when I have 100 data in the queue in front of
mergecontent, but I set the mergecontent 'Maximum Number of Records' to 200,
When the timer arrives, 'relaxFullnessConstraint && bin.isFullEnough()' fails
to meet the condition and fails to merge, and then waits until the data in the
queue reaches 200, which is inconsistent with the business expectation. The
business expects to merge when the timer arrives, regardless of whether the
'Maximum Number of Records' is met.

[Bug 2030262] Re: System broken after upgrade

2023-08-06 Thread w-sky
Maybe this is related: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS. From Aug 4, 2023 on the Software
Updater tool offered to make a partial upgrade to install some software updates
which also included the removal of 3 packets:
- gthumb
- ubuntu-unity-desktop
- steam-installer
The latter two are just metapackages to I thought they would not possible
remove Unity and Steam itself, and I started the upgrade. Steam and gthumb were
removed (but games and settings still intact). The Unity desktop was not
removed.

Among the updates was a minor update the Nvidia-535 driver (new version
535.86.05). During the installation of this update, the screen became black
with a blinking cursor on the top left while the laptop fans started speeding
as a sign for high or full CPU/GPU load. After a while, I tried pressing
Ctrl-Alt-F1 to F7 but this made the screen completely black and unresponsive.
After another while, I rebooted with SysReq-SUB.
Afterwards the system would not boot to the GUI and I needed to complete the
Nvidia installation:
sudo dpkg --configure -a

My system seems to be okay now, except for the uninstalled packages.

sorting problem with distinct on()

2023-05-05 Thread Sky Lendar
Hi there ans thx for reading and answering this post if you can:

Let's regard an example of a table (stars) containing a code for a star
(symb)
and its index (nb) in a file.

 nb |symb

  0 | alTau
  1 | alTau
  2 | bePer
  3 | alSco

 92 | thAur
 93 | thAur
 94 | thAur
 95 | ioAur
 96 | ioAur
 97 | ioAur
 98 | alBoo
 99 | alBoo

Notice that some symbs are duplicated and I want to select only the
distinct symbs.
So, I could use

select distinct on(symb) * from stars;

I get this result:

nb | symb
+---
 48 | 12Aql
 32 | 14And
 77 | 39Ari
 78 | 41Ari
 33 | 51And
 10 | GA
 34 | M31
 13 | M44
 15 | M87
  9 | SgrA*

and so on...

But when I want to reorder it by nb with:

with x as (select distinct on(symb) * from stars) select * from x order by
nb;

nb |symb
+
  1 | alTau
  2 | bePer
  3 | alSco
  4 | alLeo
  5 | alCMa
  6 | alVir
  7 | Trappist-1
  9 | SgrA*
 10 | GA
 11 | VC
 13 | M44
 14 | alUMi
 15 | M87
 16 | alCyg
 18 | beOri
 19 | omiCet
 20 | epTau
 21 | epCas
 23 | alAnd
 24 | beAnd
 28 | ga-1And
 ...

Notice that 12 is missing in the list.
Even with x as (select distinct on(symb) * from stars) select * from x
where nb = 12 order by nb;

returns nothing, whereas it should, but

with x as (select distinct on(symb) * from stars) select * from x where
symb = 'M31' order by nb;

returns

 nb | symb
+--
 12 | M31

which is correct.

What should I do in order to get the wanted results.

This phenomenon occurs with or without index. On postgres 14.7 linux x86_64.

Thx again.

Hello David. I hate to break it to you, but I don’t think there is a way to fix

[postgis-users] issue with ST_AsEWKB

2023-03-18 Thread Sky Lendar
Hi there, and thank you for reading and answering this post.

First of all, thank you for PostGis itself. I have been wanting to use
postgis for years, but found not suitable data. But, thank to natural
earth, I got a decent set a geom data, and now, I can start up my
project.

That being said, I installed postgis 3.2.4 and created a table named
'coastline' containing the outlines of all the continents.

Here is an example of what I got:

select ST_AsEWKT(geometry) from coastline limit 1

MULTILINESTRING((180 -16.15292968756,179.84814453125

So far so good. The data is correct and I can read it and display the
coastline. Fine !
But a need to read it faster, so I rather intend to use the hex form:

select ST_AsEWKB(geometry, 'NDR') from coastline limit 1;

and I got:

Seems good but when I process this string with libgeom or libgeom_c or
a handmade C routine, I rather got this:

  * Test case

  - configure a remote printer and turn it on

the print dialog shouldn't freeze the viewer

The change is only allowing access to one extra system binary from the

could make the apparmor profile not been loaded anymore or block
access to thing that should be allowed, so ensure that opening

Re: [RBW] Ride Report: The Cabo Loop, BSC

2023-02-19 Thread Sky Coulter
Awesome! Thanks for the write up. That looks like a great get away.On Feb 19, 2023, at 4:42 PM, John Rinker wrote:

A friend and I recently hung up our skis here in BC for a few weeks and headed south to Baja Sur to ride the Cape (Cabo) Loop that completes the popular Baja Divide route. The loop is roughly 450km and takes in the Pacific Ocean, the Sierra La Lagunas, and beautiful beaches along the Sea of Cortez. The landscape in both the mountains and along the coasts is a rich and diverse desert ecosystem. In addition to a variety of birds, we saw tons (literally) of humpback whales and mobula rays along the eastern coastline. The route is somewhat challenging with some stiff climbing, tire-sucking sand, and a few technical rock-dancing sections. Mostly, it’s a stunner ride that offers warm weather mid-Winter and wild camping in beautiful spots both in the mountains and on relatively empty beaches.

Shortly after landing in San Jose del Cabo, we put our bikes together and headed toward the Baja brewery in the Old Town to carbo load with Peyote IPAs and tacos de pescado for our departure the following morning. We chose to complete the loop in a clockwise manner as, after the busy-ness of San Jose, we were itching for the solitude of the mountains. Climbing into the Sierra La Lagunas, we were pleasantly surprised by the prevalence of running water in many of the arroyos (Feb 2023). At the height of land, we camped in a clearing under a mature Mexican white oak surrounded by organ pipe cactus and Torchwood trees.

Our ride down the other side the next morning was a fast descent through sandy curves as we headed towards Todos Santos and the Pacific Coast. Again, there was plenty of water flowing through this verdant, desert landscape. Todos Santos is a historical Mexican town fast on its way to becoming a gentrified destination for North Americans seeking…well, something other than America north of the Mexican border. North of town on the Playa Los Mangos, we camped in the deserted dunes as the Pacific Ocean was anything but. Thunderous waves battered the shoreline throughout the night. The morning light gave us our first glimpse of the migrating whales and the squadrons of pelicans gliding centimeters about the rolling, blue sea.

After a brief stop in a bustling Todos Santos we were headed back into the quiet of the mountains for some very challenging riding in and out of arroyos. Sections of deep sand had me pushing my Hunq with her ill-advised, less-than-3-inch tires (highly discouraged by the bike packing community, but just fine by me). The climbs out of the arroyos were as steep and rocky as the descents into them, and the surrounding desert pulsed with the life of such a variety of plants and cacti. The landscape here seemed as full as the thick forests back home in BC, albeit with more pokey things.

After camping at an abandoned rancho that night, we set our sights on arriving at the mountain hamlet of El Triunfo, an old silver-mining town, for a well-earned meal. Ochre ribbons of flow-y hard pack eventually dropped us onto the highway and a gentle climb to town. Carlota’s, a family restaurant just out the other side of town, delivered a delightful meal. After fresh orange juice and even fresher tortillas, we were ready and fuelled for a cruise along the highway before our turn back into the mountains at San Blas. That evening we pushed our bikes off the road, through the forest of cacti, mesquite, and torchwood, and camped among piles of granite boulders- wild camping at its finest.

Another morning of climbing in and out of arroyos on fine hard pack brought us to the mountain’s crest where we caught our first glimpse of the Sea of Cortez. A quick descent, a right turn and we were flying down the highway towards La Ventana. We rode through the town unable to see the sea past the dust, cars, and development until we reached the more remote beach of Agua Caliente where we soaked in natural hot pools on the rocky beach.

The next morning, we rode a beautiful and extensive single-track trail system through a forest of Cardon (Elephant) cacti on our way to the wide expanse of undeveloped beaches southeast of La Ventana. After a fine swim in the clear, jade waters in Bahia La Ventana, we found ourselves off track and wandering through a vast arroyo in search of the ‘shortcut’ to Los Planes. Eventually finding our way, Los Planes was perhaps the most authentic Mexican town we visited along the coast- not a gift shop nor a ‘#van life’ sticker to be found. Our ride that day ended with a planned detour off the route to Ensenada de Los Muertos, a deep-water port used by H. Cortez to quarantine (and bury at sea) sailors while his ships resupplied with fresh water in Los Barriles, another deep-water port to the south.

A fiery-red sunrise (sailor’s warning?) ushered in a day of cool rain. We rode away from the coast and back into the mountains. Some thigh-busting climbing and a serpentine descent

Hello everyone, I applied Jeffersons version of the solution and it
helped (great!), but then I reverted '/etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.evince' to
the original version and printing with evince still works, even after

So far the deb they created is working for me.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1930914] Re: ubuntu-minimal depends on ubuntu-advantage-tools

2022-10-28 Thread Sky
ubuntu-minimal should absolutely not force install of ubuntu-advantage-
tools. We're being force fed CLI ads via ubuntu-advantage-tools and we
HATE it. This package should at best be a 'recommends', and even then,
probably not.

I have no need of this spammy software, and yet I'm forced to remove the
entire meta package if I don't want it?!

This is what a mass exodus of users sounds like.

[blind-gamers] Access to Sable

2022-04-08 Thread Ebon sky studios
Hi everyone,

Following all the feedback and suggestions we have received, we have decided
to continue to allow access to Sable past the 8 week expiry date. However,
since the current build of Sable is no longer under active development,
access will be limited to private use only.
Projects you create cannot be shared publicly and will be for private use
only. we will send out an official announcement at some stage next week
with more details on any specific limitations or restrictions.
The current version everyone has will still expire at the end of today . We
will create a new download link which will come out with the official
announcement next week, so it will mean people will be without Sable for a
couple of days. We appreciate this isn't a perfect solution, but hopefully,
allows those people who have gotten enjoyment out of playing around with
Sable the opportunity to continue to use it.

The Ebon Sky Studios team

After rereading the info(gnu-screen) manual, which indeed clarifies that

'Ctrl-a S' will generate a blank window.

It works after following your advice, thanks

The gnu-screen runs a litte bit different from tmux which make me

confusing. Good thing is the structure

(sessions --->>> regions --->>> windows) becomes clear, thanks again

Is it a bug that the gnu screen itself can't invoke

Re: [blind-gamers] Important information about the future of Ebon Sky Studios, Sable and Crimson Eclipse

2022-02-07 Thread Ebon sky studios
Hi Shane,

Thanks for the email, this is actually something which has come up and been
requested a lot on the forum. As I mentioned there, our key reason for stopping
development on the current build of Sable is that we didn’t want to put a
substandard product with known bugs out in the audio games community. I think
its important to remember that although Sable is feature complete, its not a
finished product, it still needed fine tuning, tidying up the rougher edges and
since it was only in its beta development stage there may be minor bugs too.
Allowing the current build to stay active after the 8 weeks would defeat the
reason we decided to stop work on the current build, since that would leave a
product of ours out in the community which wasn’t up to the standards of
software/games we want to produce. the last thing we want to do is clutter the
audio games community with potentially incomplete games or games with known
problems/issues.

The purpose of the 8 week trial wasn’t for people to try and build a
fully-fledged game during that time, but more as an opportunity for anyone who
wanted to try out Sable. This is now more just a proof of concept demo that
people can play around with for a short time period if they wish, giving them
an opportunity if they want to give feedback on what they liked or disliked and
to give possible suggestions which might then help shape projects we make in
the future.

Paul,

Might I suggest you re-think the making things expire?

Because people might develop things, and maybe just make it so that it
indicates this was built with an engine that was abandoned, and your not
responsible for the engine and it's fitness.

Hi enes saribas,

Regarding your question about memory, the issue is less noticeable on
machines with a lot of RAM to spare. However, even though it is less of an
issue if there is RAM to spare, the issue is still there and potentially anyone
running a PC with low amounts of RAM, or other process’s taking up a lot of
RAM it has the potential to cause issues, which is the main reason we decided
to stop development on the current build, since we didn’t want to put out a
substandard product or a product which we knew had issues, especially issues
like memory which could cause crashes.

Hi,

Would the memory leaks cause a large issue with Crimson Eclipse on computers
with large amounts of memory? Would you need to re-write the game in another
programming language?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who’s posted in here, or who’s sent us
a private email. Yesterday was a tough day for us making the announcement, but
it was great to see so much positivity and support from the community.

Although it was with a heavy heart we made the announcement yesterday, we
always planned to eventually move away from BGT anyway, this just forces that
move sooner than we had previously planned. In the long run, hopefully moving
over to re-writing Sable in a full main stream language allows us to take
everything we’ve learnt so far and make something even better.

As ever thank you all for your continued support, I hope those of you who
decide to download the current proof of concept demo that you have fun playing
around with it.

any of you that do want to play around with this proof-of-concept version of
BGT Sable can pass along any suggestions that you think we ought to consider
for a new version of the application. Again though, we need to emphasize
that this version of Sable has those memory leak issues, so use at your own
risk, also any projects created during the release will be lost and
unusable after the 8 week period. the link can be found at the bottom of
the post.

We want to conclude this message by repeating our apology to all of you who
have been waiting for us to put out Crimson Eclipse and/or the public
release of Sable. We accept the fact that many of you will be sad,
disappointed, pissed off or some combination of those emotions. We are
prepared to take it on the chin, but we do hope that you will not lose your
trust in us. Ebon Sky Studios exists to serve the community-that's all of
you-and without that community, we are nothing.

Re: [gentoo-user] wiki page(kernel/upgrade) command confusion: 'cat' and 'awk'

2022-01-14 Thread russian sky
> This, in my opinion, is a case of “useless use of cat”.
> `cat somefile | sort` can be replaced by “sort file”.
Agree with that, i will attempt to add an replacing
adivce to the talking page of the kernel/upgrade wiki
page.

> I don’t quite follow. Do you mean the “.*”, so you replace .* with .?
Yes. Based on the explanation of '*' in the gawk manual, it's
used to match zero/one/more times repeating of the preceding character which in
turn doesn't match the default
diff printing mode( >for removing, .*(=|Linux)/'.

[gentoo-user] wiki page(kernel/upgrade) command confusion: 'cat' and 'awk'

2022-01-14 Thread russian sky
the sentence is just as follows:

diff <(cat .config | sort) <(cat .config.old | sort) | awk '/^>.*(=|Linux)/ {
$1=""; print }'

without inserting the 'cat' and '*'(the part of awk),It seems like, the result
of the command is the same as before.

Does the existence of the aboving 'cat' and '*' (the part of awk) have some
special meaning which make them necessary on the sentence?

Bug#996994: pipewire-bin: Recent pipewire upgrade lacks WirePlumber

2021-10-22 Thread sky
Package: pipewire-bin
Version: 0.3.39-1
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: gokalpceliksente...@gmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

pipewire 0.3.39 replaces pipewire-media-session with wireplumber and recent
upgrade removes media-session.

Since wireplumber is not installed automatically instead users will be left
without audio on the first restart. Reinstalling wireplumber manually and
starting the user service eliminates the issue

wireplumber should be an automatic install for this release of the package.

POSIX defines struct timeval in

I've discovered a gap in POSIX compliance in lib/sh/strftime.c on the devel

although as can be seen on Line 67 of the file in question, the file is only
included here if the tm struct -- which POSIX mandates be defined in
-- is defined in .

The libc implementation I'm working with defines timeval in and tm
in as mandated by POSIX so here I encounter a compile failure on Line
193.

../../../bash-5.1/lib/sh/strftime.c: In function ‘strftime’:
../../../bash-5.1/lib/sh/strftime.c:193:17: error: storage size of ‘tv’ isn’t
known
  struct timeval tv;
 ^~

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I may have missed something in the POSIX spec
that results in the definition of timeval being available from another header,
although I believe that the fix for this should be to move the
include on Line 69 outside the enclosing #if guard, as it should always be
required for POSIX compliance.

Re: [RE-wrenches] IMO's Fire Raptor

2021-08-29 Thread Sky Sims
We’ve put in a few hundred fire raptors so far and have no failures on any of
their units yet. But we’ve only been using them for a year and what
compensation do they offer 10years from now if the unit fails and doubles the
customers out of pocket on the system installation?

Re: [RE-wrenches] Exploding RSD Unit

2021-08-29 Thread Sky Sims
It’s good to see everyone waking up to the dangers of RSD. This last code cycle
has been a complete disaster for solar, between RSD and these obscene set back
requirements for solar panels on the roof, it really looks like residential
solar is under attack by hostile forces, driving up costs and making our
installers less safe and the solar systems less reliable.

Hi, does anyone else get an audible message that says, "JAWS touch input

It prevents many keyboard commands being used.

It most often occurs upon computer start-up or restart. I am using JAWS

Thank you.

Re: [Wien] bug in qtl

2021-05-29 Thread Abo, Gavin Sky
When I implemented Prof. Blaha's fix put into WIEN2k 21.1, I took it as given
at:

https://www.mail-archive.com/wien@zeus.theochem.tuwien.ac.at/msg20660.html

The "so: Undefined variable" suggests I may have been missing something which
Prof. Blaha may have had his personal file when he tested the change to
qtlpara_lapw that never made it into WIEN2k 21.1.

It might be that "set so" needs added, similar to lapw2para_lapw, near the top
of the qtlpara_lapw file like:

set sc
set so# semicore-switch
set cmplx

You could maybe give that a try to see if it fixes the "so: Undefined variable"
error. Though, it is also possible another error will reveal itself after that.
