It happens with the new position and space attributes and the former ones - the former ones are used, when ODF format version 1.0/1.1 is used for saving documents in ODF. The problem is that a paragraph, which has paragraph style Heading 1 (Heading 1 is assigned to list level of outline style and thus has the outline style as its list style) applied, but afterwards its list style is set to None (happens via the second Backspace at the first paragraph of the document), got back the outline style as its list style after save-load-action. I did find that many cells in my document would not auto-resize to fit all text wrapped text. Then I right clicked on the cell in question and selected default formatting only to find that all the content fit in the cell without a wrap. It seems that the content is wrapping before it needs to and the cell is correctly sizing itself. The result of which is that in edit mode, while the cell size is correct the content is wrapping incorrectly and can't all be viewed and has a red arrow in the cell. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. That turned out especially bad when that context menu was to extended by an extension. It should be possible to properly extend (context) menus by adding a new slot with the specific text to be displayed. E.g. to add proposals for misspelled words it should be possible to add slots like - .uno.Spellcheck?word=abcd - .uno.Spellcheck?word=xyz to provide the corrections. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=94891 User ab changed the following: What|Old value |New value Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Oct 20 08:44:38 + 2008 --- After having a closer look, I found that this is no bug. The extension is wrong, it does not meet the corresponding specification. As described in http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/Extensions/Help_Content in paragraph Context sensitive help and extended tool tips a Command URL has to be used to bind Toolbar items or controls to their corresponding help pages. The problem is that org.Rup.Xamqon.odt2pml.O1 is no URL at all as it does not meet the scheme protocol:anything. Unfortunately in 2.4 this wasn't tested and so also non URLs were accepted. But this was a bug corrupting other functionality, especially the context sensitive help inside the Basic IDE (pressing F1 while the cursor is placed on a keyword/command opens the corresponding help). To fix this (see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=90162) only Help URLs really meeting the URL scheme are considered to be links to help pages while everything else is used to perform a search. The workaround works because there a valid URL is used. So, to solve this problem the extension has to be fixed. - INVALID - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I have no Python installed on the machine I use for testing. Moving the python23.dll into the \program directory does not solve the problem. I even tried copying the 'python23.dll' from OOo2.4 into the OOo3 installation directory, but the problem remains the same. Perhaps more python-related components from OOo2.4 should be copied to the OOo3 install to work around the problem. I have not tried this yet, in the hope that there will be a simpler and more solid solution soon. For Linux, a workaround apparently exists (according to the lead developer Pierre Martineau): | Under linux (at least Ubuntu), you can use the pyuno bridge from 2.4 with the | stock openoffice3. [graphics-issues] [Issue 93945] corrupted animations in Im press version 3
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93945 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Oct 20 09:46:31 + 2008 --- Again, several problems come together: 1) Painting the table takes very long (upward of 1s). The tables, Write OLE objects, are represented as metafile. Paint the table just have to iterate over the actions of the metafile and paint them. One type of action that takes relatively long to render is a text action. What makes painting so long is the setup of the clipping polygon. While in most cases (for this document) clipping is restricted to simple rectangles, sometimes the clipping area is the union of four rectangles. When done completely in VCL this would not be a problem because the Region class is optimized for this. The problem arises from the clipping area represented as com::sun::star::rendering::XPolyPolygon2D. However, text is still painted by VCL, even when everything else is done by the canvas. So, the clipping polygons are transformed to basegfx polygons and eventually to VCL Regions. Any knowledge about being a union of rectangles is lost at that point and the general conversion of polygons to Region is used. This involves the creation of data structures for every pixel line that the text spans in vertical direction. These are later optimized into just a handful but still this process is very time consuming. 2) Changing properties of animated shapes that are not visible cause painting of the background (the table in this case). The reason for this is, so I assume, the assumption that this case does not occur regularly. When the lower frame is faded in the following happens: the table is painted once. This takes very long as explained above. As a result the two animation actions for fading out the upper red frame are started simultaniously: one action for smoothly setting the alpha value from 1 to 0 and one to turn off visibility of the whole shape. The later action is intended to be started when the former is almost done. When both are started at once then visibility of the shape is turned off right away and then the alpha alue is modified for the next 1 second. This results every time in a request to repaint the background, the table in this case. The reason for this is, probably, that in the usual case when the visibility of a shape is turned off then it is converted from a sprite into a regular object that is part of the background. Therefore the background has to be painted. 3) The scheduling of animations does not really handle delays very well. As already said above, it can happen (this is a timing problem, it does not always happen) that when the upper red frame is faded out and the lower frame is faded in, the table in the background is painted once and this takes so long that it screws up the scheduling of pending animation actions. The actions for fading out the upper frame are scheduled to be started 1 (0.995 seconds to be precise) second apart. When painting the table takes longer than that second and is done at the wrong time then both actions are started at the same time. One is overdue more than one second, the other only a short time. This leads to the process as described above: visibility of the upper frame is turned off but its alpha value is constantly modified. This results in frequent repaints of the table which, as already observed, takes very long. Luckily, these repaints are done for simpler clipping areas, so repainting the table takes only about half a second. It could be worse and take the same 1.5 seconds as the repaint that started the whole mess. Well, the half second repaint causes the frame rate of the fade-in animation (remember, the fade-out animation already failed completely) to drop to a value between 1 and 2. Animation is not the best word to describe this. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The linked specification describes how to handle these features in detail. As a quick overview: A new entry in the list 'ODF format version' should be introduced and the warning message for saving information should be adapted. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I'm frustrated at the South African English spell checker that I am using on OpenOffice 2.4 (shipped with Ubuntu Linux v.8 - Hardy) What I mean by plural words are sometimes falsely flagged as spelling errors, can be simulated as follows: 1. Start a new ooo writer document using the English (UK) spell checker. 2. Now type the following words: affairs, components, roles. 3. Press F7 to run a spell check. 4. No spelling errors. 5. Set the dictionary language (for the document or for the above selection of text) to English (South Africa). 6. Press F7 to run a spell check. It marked some of these words as spelling errors: affairs is marked as an error. Suggested word: affair s. components is not marked as a spelling error. roles has many suggestions - role s being one of them. There is a pattern of the above for most plural words, when using the South African English spell checker. Please help. Feel free to commit to a CWS of your choice, or tell me to create one [or tell me to improve the patches ;-)]. I compiled everything in Cygwin + Cygwin's MinGW [gcc/g++ -mno-cygwin], I hope the patches not break the MinGW-only approach. I tested with stable version of OOo 3.0 - installed from OOo_3.0.0_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz I tried to save ODF versions 1.0/1.1 and 1.2, and got the same result - blue bullets at the left side are visible in OOo 3.0 (see first or second pages from attached file), but aren't visible when I open attached file with OOo 2.4.1 from Ubuntu Linux 8.04. Also I'm attaching PDF file, made with OOo 3.0 - you can see blue bullets at the left side in this file. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [framework-issues] [Issue 95192] Read-only notification doe s not work correctly

LAN - hardisk) and one user open it, if the second user open it also (while the first one has it still open), OO make a notice showing, the document could be open only in read only mode. BUT if the second one close the read only document and reopen it, the notification does not longer work although the first user has the document still open. This means after closing the document in read only mode, next time (everytime) you open this document, you don´t get the notification from OO. OO opens it as it would not be in the same time used by another user. So both work on document in write mode and one of them will LOST THE DATA! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
