Re: Control fields that shows up on OOB Reporting (Tools Reporting)
Christianne, You may also be able to remove the fields from the view(s) that the user is using to prevent the field from showing up in the list. (Create a new view.. maybe name it something like All fields and make sure those fields are in that view and no other views.) I would suggest that you try that approach before you change the permissions on the fields. -- Carey Matthew Black BMC Remedy AR System Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Love, then teach Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap Pick two. Re: Control fields that shows up on OOB Reporting (Tools Reporting)
The only caveat that I should have made to that earlier is this. You will want to make sure that none of the workflow is using information in those fields. Remember that if they don't have permission to the fields they will show up as null...if you have validations and such you may come across problems with them not having permission. :) -Original Message- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:arsl...@arslist.org] On Behalf Of tina flores Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 1:33 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Re: Control fields that shows up on OOB Reporting (Tools Reporting) Thanks for your input, LJ!
