Yes, Good warning Chris. I was a victim of this issue at the time and a simple re-install of office wasn't enough to fix it. Haven't had any problems on 7.1 or the recent versions of 7.0 though. Just make sure that you don't uninstall crystal as it was installed by the earliest versions of User Tool 7.0.x That version of the crystal runtime had hooks into Microsoft Office and Windows that frequently destroyed your office install, or even destabilized your OS in ways that required you to reinstall office at best, or to reimage your entire machine at the worst. Re: Crystal Reports in v7
Hi Sileem, With recent versions of the User tool the crystal runtime has its own uninstall listed in add/remove programs. The best way to get the user tool install to re-install the crystal runtime is to uninstall it from there. No amount of renaming or removing files does the trick in my experience. Once crystal is removed re-install the user tool and make sure you select crystal runtime as an option. Sileem, We have got the same error when we migrated from 6.3 to 7.1. Un-Install the user client and install 7x user client in different folder rather than default folder which installer picks up. It worked with us. Hi, I have seen a similar one to this which was due to the V7 client being installed over the previous V6 clients. Our solution was to uninstall all Remedy clients and re-install the V7 clients. Perhaps there is an old dll or registry entry that is causing the issue? Hope that this helps. Nyall sileem hassan wrote: Hi all, we are actuylly migrating to ARS v7.
