Okay, Im super late to the party on this game, but I just got the demo and Im very impressed. I had to switch from the alt key to B for dragon strikes, but I think with a bit more practice Ill get them. I havent bought it yet, but intend to. Well done, and I think this arguably qualifies as the most ambitious audio game yet, which is excellent. Well other than Susan (and now Alex), and the genetic clone of his daughter, the doctor doesnt technically have any family, though there was the moff craziness of him being married to river song some how sorting out the thing where she was going to kill him but he was a robot clone, but of course wwe want to forget Riversong actually happened so yeah . We dont know who Susans parents were or even who the Doctors first wife on Galifrey was, although one explanation I saw stated that Time Lords didnt actually reproduce in the normal way but had a genetic loom that created new time lords out of previous genetic material, and that Susan was a call back to past galifreyan aristocracy going back to Rassilon, though that was all part of the Cartmal master plan as its called, ie the stuff that was planned for Silvester Mccoy and didnt h
 appene because the series got canceled, and only turns up in some of the later novels which all got a bit weerd and crazy. Actually I prefer the audios to what I know of the novels because the audios dont generally go off the rails or try to reinvent the wheel in a big loud fanficky type of way, I suspect because like a tv series the audios have an over all editer so are controled somewhat.So, officially we dont know that much of who susan is other than that shes the Doctors grand daughter, indeed even in the audio the Beginning we just see The Doctor and Susan stealing an old type 40 tardis and leaving galifrey while being chased by guards and were not told why, though really I much prefer keeping the stuff about the Doctors life mysterious, one reason Im sort of dreading what Moffat is going to do given weve actually seen the Doctor as a child and all that rubbish about the army, and the less said about Clar
 a supposedly directing the First Doctor to his tardis the better (needless to say, even though the companion story The Beginning was bought out after name of the Doctor there was no suggestion of Clara at all, thank god!).The Doctors companions however are much more interesting in terms of background and there have been some very nice stories that followed what they did later, especially Sarah jane, from the Sarah jane audios (though the ending to those issomewhat inconclusive and nicely enigmatic), to the Sarah jane Tv adventures when she was obviously a lot older, wich though theyre supposed to be a kids series I really did enjoy, although I have only seen season 1 thus far.

Well I dont think Clara would have been covered under their license since she is specifically new Who anyway. As for Alex, I am intrigued by his mere 7% galifrean DNA when his mother was supposedly a pure timelord.I also found it notable that Susan agreed with Lucy regarding the Doctors unintended insensitivities, suggesting most probably that she has become accustomed to human sensibilities on such matters though still with the interesting possibility that the Doctors manner is unusual even by Galifrean standards. It could be speculated that the Doctor may have some kind of condition out of the ordinary but specific to Galifrean biology, like the occurance of autism in humans, now that would be a tempting direction if I were a writer. It would certainly play into the Doctor not always getting along with his own people particularly well, building a sense of alienation (no pun intended).

B1-E2 and C5-Bb5 are all thats different from the default synth tennors), and I added some fixed-length fades (5-8) for a harp-esque effect.I want to add pitch bending and more complex instruments and maybe work out the crappy noise generator so it isnt so crappy, but htats the future.

A very interesting idea, however not exactly one which sits with the other timelords weve seen thus far, sinse while theyre a very stratified and formal society with bizantine politics, at the same time there are timelords who act differently or come to change over time, from The MAster and The Rani, to the Doctors own companion Romana, not to mention Kyempo his teacher. Im currently listening to the 8th Doctor audio NEverland (which is awsome!), and actually suggests a nice motivation for the timelords, that Rassilon actually used the eye of harmony to stabalize the comtinuity of universal history into one pattern where The Timelords themselves had mastery over time travel, which likely implies why their society developed as it did, and how the Dalek war might have started. As an interesting aside, the same audio shows a possible future where the Timelords have lost all control of continuity and just act out of domination and remove
  the Daleks from existance, which is quite an interesting tie in even though that story was written in 2003 before new who started.I have seen speculations that say Susan actually isnt pure galifreyan but half. This would actually fit with a lot of what weve seen Susan doing. I dont doubt if you live as long as a timelord and go through regenerations which change you on such a fundamental level anyone would change. I dont really think of the Doctor as autistic in the literal sense, not necessarily having the same symptoms, but if he had some condition which made him view life and reality in a fundamentally different way to the other timelords akin to how a person with autism simply interprets things differently that would both make the doctor stand out more from the other timelords and also provide a possible motivation for his departure from Galifrae and material for conflict with the timelords.Spoiler warning for orient express.The orient express turned into a spaceship was probably an extra complication we didnt need but its exactly the kind of thing weve come to expect from new Who. The biggest thing I had a problem 2with regarding the deaths was the doctor worked out the pattern and the mythical being be
 hind it too soon for my liking, though thats again perhaps down to the format of new Who.And at least shutting Clara in the other room kept her out the way so she didnt interfere with the Doctor. On the downside Im getting really pissed off with her sudden change of heart regarding the doctor, which felt frankly unrealistic. Last time she swore off the doctor and now shes back for one last hurrah and by the end oh my shes quite happy with him again. Fickle? Just a touch.

You can make custom florrs by placing tiles.Use shift M to bring up the tile creator.To make custom viruses, you need to have a difficulty modd of 5 or higher unlocked, and then youll find the choice to make a custom virus at the bottom of the virus list in stage builder.Im writing documentation that explains the stage builder in detail, but theOnlyPkmnMaster didnt include it in the current release of AAC.Hopefully it will be in the next one.

I have been playing this mud for about a year now, and the playerbase is the maturist I have ever seen. I am the developer of the mush pack, but its still got some bugs to work out. If there is enough interest in the game though and my pack I will work double time to make it completely functional for those who wish to play.The GM/admins are extremely helpful, and there are events frequently. We just had one that went through out the whole day yesterday in fact. Along with the events, the creater of the mud hosts teamtalk and skype confrences for lore and mechanics often. The clok community is great, and Im sure wed all love to see more people become part of it.There is a lot to learn, and a lot to explore. There really is no limit to what you could be in the lost lands.

OK, Matt has converted the docs into MD, and as soon as weve polished that up, well publish, including the sound tour. And yeah, if you want better sounds, and you have copylefted licenses (GPL-compatible) for them, please do get in touch and we can look into including them. Our priority right now, though, is to get people playing the game, as it was then, now.@SLJ, you should be able to press tilde (~) on your keyboard to get into the console, and then type quit. @Cx2, to be honest I disagree with your idea of the doctors mental state being different from the other time lords so fundamentally it is akin to autism because as I said there are enough examples of other time lords who go off and do there own thing. Its unusual certainly, but not particularly wrong, and I also dont like the idea that The Doctor was basically just biologically determined or flawed on a basic level, I prefer the idea that he chose his own life which was very much the way the first doctor was, a man whod chosen to go on the run, indeed one interesting thing about the First Doctor is he was initially not a particularly noble or heroic character and was quite dark and alien, and only became the more heroic figure we know through the influence of his granddaughter and companions. Beware! Orient express spoilage below! I agree the orient express turning into a spaceship was sort of par for the course with new who, and Clara is defi
 nitely fickle, then again thats a standard Moffat character trait that female characters are emotionally allowed to be as manipulative and self serving as they want because theyre women, (look at River and Amy). I was however relieved at Claras change of heart sinse hopefully this stops all the bitching and complaining and putting down the Doctor shes been doing. Funnily enough in the last few episodes Ive almost been missing the really thin card board clara we had pre season 8, sinse hay she might have had all the personality and character of a block of concrete, but at least she wasnt the over baring teacher from hell who had to be right all the time or throw a complete strop. Hopefully we can now just get on with some interesting aliens and stories!On the Doctor solving the mystery too quickly, I can see where your coming from with that though i personally didnt mind as much there, mostly because at least the monster actuall
 y killed! someone rather than (as has previously happened with the eleventh doctor), the doctor just seeing the monster then realing off a oh it is a zumzobogo from the planet plot convenience that does this and this, so everyone just look tense for a while which weve been having to expect. It was nice to see the Doctor actually work something out and reminded me of one of my favourite ecleston moments, when the Slivene has trapped JAcky Tyler and hes having Rose and harriette jones throw out physical details as he slowly narrows down which planet the life form comes from.

Hi. @Gamecreater, reminds me of the first time I had to speak English to people that werent from my country and how nervous I was at the time about making silly mistakes. The good old days...  Anyway, so Im posting here again after finishing an assignment the night before the hand-in date (I seem to be making a terrible habit of this). Im glad though that its done; as far as I know this is the last essay Ill have to do this year. But over the next week or so I have a group presentation and two tests to complete. Two weeks from then Im writing my end-of-year exams, after which I can enjoy my summer break. But all this seems like such a long way off right now. Speaking of swamp, I havent played it in months. The only audio game I play frequently during weekends with my friends is SoundRTS, with the crazy mod. Its 
 a pretty good distraction at times.

Ok, question for all of you. Can someone even really copyright a sound? Let me explain. So ok, I get it, you buy a 10 gig library and yeah, your not supposed to share it. But, lets say someone put it in there game folder as an mp3 file. someone who downloads the game uses it in one of theres and so on and so forth. Eventually, the sound is gonna be everywhere and theres nothing we can do about it. Like for example, if the Wilhelm scream was copyrighten, most movie companies and video game companies would get sued. But, that hasnt happened.

Hi all,So, with people making soundpacks for Alter Aeon with the ever popular MushZ, Clok, Miriani and Star Conquest, its high time I sit my butt down and make one for Medievia. I wouldve for Materia Magica, but from what I hear the blind community is stagnating over there.What would I need to go about doing this, aside from sounds of course? I dont know what MushZ code I should look at for examples since its bundled with scripts that the Mush creator Nick Gaman created himself for the benefit of the mudding community.I also want to add a system for buffers. Formation for groups and any channels that you may be communicating on. On trade runs, it can get incredibly spammy when running to your destination and its hard to pay attention without any kind of scripting help. I also want to add things like if youre a cleric and have mass refresh, cast it every once in a while to refresh movement. Unlike most games, speedwalking 
 is impossible because you can run out of breath and fall. So if I was to add a zmap like feature to it, thered need to be a timer. Zmap isnt very needed on this game because dragons will fly you anywhere you want to go, and you just find the entrence.I would highly recommend someone with soundpack know-how get into this game. Even if you arent, Ive just joined a new clan and I have enroll privgs, so if you want to leave the newbie clan early and get help from some guys whove been around the block with this game, this is your clan. The last clan I was in were a bunch of elitests and chewed me out at every opportunity, whereas Ive had nothing but support from clan 7. Ive made over 6700 gold on three trade runs with them.So, if anyone can give me tips and some code found in MushZ to take a look at for examples only, I dont intend to outright copy it, let me know.Thanks.

I purchased a pair of soundprofessionals sb-tfb-2sI was unclear of how they are worn to begin with, and now even more that I have them.Are they worn like traditional earbuds that go straight into the ear canal? Neither one example nor lack of enforcement make something legal. Id go with no, but in truth this question is very, very complex. Usually, its decided when someone finally goes to court. I could see two ways you could go about it, though: music is copyrightable and so is art under some circumstances. Im going with yes unless someone has very substantial information to the contrary.

Best method to build a minimal operating system using UEFI?

Hi all,Im just curious: How should I build an operating system that is just the bare, minimal kernel using UEFI? This OS will only support UEFI. (It will only support UEFI because BIOS is just obsolete by now, right?) So, does anyone know how to do this?Note: I do not want to use assembly language. Just Pure C++. Im using the EDK 1.6, which is the latest available version currently.

If it truncates the log, then the log is wayyy to large for windows to handle. Windows can only keep a log up to I think it is about 15 KB of data with logs before it starts truncating things. You cant restore it, at least I dont think you can.

dragon ball, z, and z kai?

Who here is into dragon ball, dbz and dbz kai? I like all three but dbz is my favorite. I wish there wer a dbz map pack for tacticle battles 2.0. I cant get into dragonball gt very much though. it seems like with gt theyre bringing back the same old villains and adding new abilities which really dont add to the story too much or am I missing something? anyway dbz, regular dbz is my favorite followed by dbz kai.

The mod format may be looked into again if we get Cara Quinns JediQuake made available through the official release; hopefully shell be happy to do that. Basically though, to create a mod you overload the filesystem as seen by Quake through the use of pak files and/or data files in the data directory. I will see if/how we can let users tamper with the contents of the packages (easy on Mac, of course; inside the app bundle).I doubt very much that there are servers up. And while you can run a server from the game itself, it is usually more convenient to run the server program. It is noted that people will wish to do this.

A minimal operating system?Most EFI programs simply load the boot code or kernel of some other, existing OS. Sometimes they provide useful utilities, like shells. Although EFI is certainly capable of being used as a basic platform in its own right, I wonder what you think you might like to do there.

Hi.SLJ, dont use the alt key for the scrolls. Alt is glitchy with Fusion or maybe its BGT being stupid and refusing to work with nonproper Windows keyboards.I recommend setting your dragon strike key to down arrow. I have found that down arrow works very well for me.

Does catching Battle of Gods during its limited US theatrical run count?Kinda wish DBZ:Sagas didnt suck. The concept is nice, the accessibility is nice, and the game play sounds nice when described but its clunky as McClunkitor the Robot in practice. But The execution leaves much to be desired. As in, enemies *not* glitching out of the arena, and some better solution to the Super Attack Slow-motion for Co Op (most annoying thing ever: Im in the middle of a lengthy combo, the other player starts firing off super attacks).I stopped paying attention to DBZ games after the 8th SPARKING! clone. So if things have actually gotten more interesting since then, I didnt notice.Wait, why havent I made Sagas2: this time it doesnt suck the audio game? Oh, right. Akratic Goblins.

I actually need to get back to playing Swamp myself, I started an account and was having fun but then got a bit destracted, indeed She Noire was the first audiogame Ive played for a while that managed to finish to the end.Regarding English, well I cant really speak on that sinse while my italian is sort of good enough to get bye in a restaurant or similar I wouldnt have a full conversation, so Im always surprised at how well a lot of people from other countries speak English, yes, Ill freely admit the British are rather lazy in that regard, though in fairness the closest country to us with another language is! france, wed probably be okay if we were close to a country with a more logical language and one where people on average tolerated attempts to speak their language a little better.

Funnily enough with Reever that wasnt too bad, then again Im fairly used to dogs and commands so it wasnt a problem. Generally if Reever goes wrong or tries something the wrong way I say watch! in a fairly firm tone and go back and make her do it again, though usually shes fine unless she gets destracted which doesnt happen often, even at the start. With Reever though shes not exactly an assertive personality to begin with.
