CarlosM, thanks for the bug tip, and also thanks for hosting Swamp for avidgamer to download. I use Yahoo webhosting for my website and lately theyve really been dropping the ball. I imagine its from the extra traffic they get during the holidays, but its very annoying that downloads are timing out. The database is now dropping randomly as well, which has led to a headache with people trying to buy accounts. In the past week or 2, about 50% of the time it doesnt send out the activation email because the yahoo website times out before it sends it. I need to make a few angry phone calls to Yahoo I think.

trivia crack on the pc?

Hi, I tried to get Trivia Crack working on my pc yesterday. According to research I have done, I have to get an android emulator and download the app for android and play it through the emulator. The suggested android emulator was BlueStacks, which I managed to install without much trouble. I opened it up and it was downloading my game data and then it initialized. But now, it is inaccessible. I tried to OCR the screen and got meaningless gibberish as a result. My question: is there an android emulator that comes out of the box accessible? If not, is there a n app I can instll sto make buestacks accessible? If there is one, how do I get it installed because Bluestacks is inaccessible? A lot of my friends play trivia crack and I want to as well, so any help would be appreciated.

Re: Schools for the blind, training centers, and how they perform.

@TurtlePowerRegarding to your conclusion, well, we lose because the blind kids who start to attend a specialist school are unaware of where are they going, and their mind can be easily changed. Also, the associations which stand for blind people recommend to the kid’s parent to send him/her to a specialist school. I lost my site when I was just one and a half year due to a terrible accident, and when the doctors confirmed that my site was lost without an actual opportunity to be turned back, they told my parents to go to the national association where I would gain the status of a blind person so as to get those money which our governments give for us for a certain disability. Then I would be automatically registered as a blind person and my local association of the city would help me in any case. So when I was six years old, they called my father to discuss about my future school. Normally their choice was to enroll me at a specialist school. According to them this was the only school that I could attend. They went even forward, by telling my father to convince me that the school where I would go is very good, a great place where I would really have fun, and I’d be able to make a lot of good friends. Well, they kept telling me that next year I was going to school, it’s a good place for you, you’ll feel happy, you’ll learn many things, you will make a lot of friends and other stuff. So I really was looking forward to the day to going to the school and seeing how it would be. Well, as far as I remember, I imagined everyday how my school would be and how my friends would be like. I really couldn’t wait to go there because I was made to believe all those lies which were told by my parents but not all of those things I was told were true.So this is how it works. The associations or any other institution persuade both parents and kids that is better for them to attend a specialist school.

It I find the 32 bit edition of windows much slow though I cant find where does it come from as Im not an expert on computer, but I can say that 64 bit edition works faster and better. I also use an android device running android 4.4.2. I like a very good feature there in my samsung device, The task manager. The task manager provides for tabs, and the fourth one is called Ram tab. In this tab you can close all active application and therefore the phone will run faster; something that doesnt exist on windows. I would love so much to have such an application which closes unneeded apps running in background. It can free up to 200 MB of ram. for example, if my ram is 850 MB of 1.5 MB, it can reduce it to 650 MB. and actually the accessibility is not
on windows. Im sorry that android passes it away. although talkback cant be compared to jaws, there are other features which may exist on windows, but we cannot take advantage of because the screen reader might not be compatible with a certain program, or that program crashes when using a certain screen reader. I am disappointed from the accessibility at least in windows 7.

I dont think theyre trees... walkways or platforms seems more likely as they actually extend a pretty fair way to either side. The coordinates you want are 35-0, where you can then jump up through a gap between the two walkways. to the left if you want to go back into the school, to the right if you want to grab the iron balls and coins up there.

2014-12-12 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : darkabomination via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Bakatsuki, a place for accessible English Light Novels

Yeah the top post and title are pretty obtuse for those not in the know. And the word accessible doesnt actually mean anything here. All wikis are by default. In more detail, its a wiki for translating light novels from Japanese to English by fans. Its completely voluntary and unofficial, so anything that does get officially translated must be taken down.Worth noting most series do get made into anime, so theres some cases where series that never get English localization for the anime themselves provide a workaround. It helps to watch a good few anime before you go in, some tropes and terms may be a little confusing for those not used to how translations sound. Most are pretty derivative, but there are some gems. Blazblue luckily has its books directly adapted from the games, so you have a choice of watching the game cutscenes which as a whole do have rather great English casts, or the novels. Or, both if your curious about t
he differences. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Spice and Wolf are excellent. Unfortunately they had to be taken off, but translations are really easy to come by. For Haruhi both methods of official and unofficial translations are pretty readable, though Id go with scans of the officials if your a newbie. Spice and Wolfs official translations by Yen Press are a bit dry and overly formal, but still far from bad. The fanlations are a bit casual in tone so therell be some adjusting when you make the jump, but you dont miss anything and the humor is a bit more natural.Bacano is pretty cool as well, its good pulpy fun with an easier than usual translation, since it takes place in America that uses translated American slang in Japanese, so its much easier to back translate.Worth noting all three have very good English dubs for their anime adaptations, but sadly only cover about 4 books each. Still worth a watch however.

Re: Anime discussion

Ive been an anime fan off and on for the last ten years or so. Currently getting back into it.I disagree on Full Metal Alchemist, though I know its an unpopular opinion. I think the first anime is better, even though I know it doesnt follow the original story. I liked the more consistently serious tone, prefer how the main villain came out, and thought the comedy thats so prevalent in the original broke the tension. Regardless, Im not an FMA fan personally, both versions have a ton of flaws to me.Im pretty happy Sailor Moons gotten a boost in popularity with Vizs new re-dub of the series. Its actually really good. So Im getting back into that franchise as a fan.As for the most off the wall weird anime, I think that title goes to Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. Its one of the funniest things Ive seen in a long time, and the dubs so good people are actively doing themselves a disservi
ce by watching it in Japanese. I say this because I beleive dubs can and sometimes do beat the original actors. Not often mind you, but its been done. But I say so here because the anime was made as a tribute and homage to Western cartoons and culture, and that Gainax themselves specifically asked the dubbing team to make their scripts even raunchier and over the top, which Funimation did with gusto. An English cast just makes the intention of parodying and exaggerating western pop culture closer to the studios spirit than the Japanese, good as it is.Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-Ne was great, just finished watching it. The dubs great, equal to in Japanese personally. The cast are all relatable, its a rare girls love series to get any American release, and the tone and mecha designs look a lot like they came out of Eureka Seven, an anime very close to my heart.

Re: Anime discussion

Havent watched Panty and stockings, but I think one cant truly compare the two unless one actually speaks both languages. I personally believe that a dub only beats the original Japanese voice acting when its meant to take place in western society and so is more translatable. So far, I havent found one dub I actually think is better, so Im curious to know examples... Bobobo-bo bo-bobos dub is good only because of how well the humor comes across, but a lot of the specific references and puns in the Japanese are obviously dropped, but it makes up for it by repeatedly making fun of the japanese versions. But anime like Devil May Cry based on the games is better in English, simply because the original universe and games were all done in English with Japanese subtitles. But personally, as a purist and someone who speaks Japanese, I have yet to find a dub which I think actually beats the Japanese originals.

Re: Schools for the blind, training centers, and how they perform.

Hi.Here are my thoughts:Over the last 2 summers, I have been to 2 NFB training centers as a summer youth.Last summer I went to the Colorado Center for the Blind. There were certain things I didnt like about this center, such as my extremely impatient counselor who expected the students to do everything perfectly on their first try, and also who swore a lot. I ended up having to take it to the director of the program, who thankfully was very understanding about my issues. I ended up having to change appartments and counselors, and got a much better counselor.I also felt that I didnt fit in with everyone at that center. I didnt socialize with people a lot, because I felt like no one had in common what I did.Lastly, at that center, they focused very heavily on learning how to slate, which I thought was ridiculous. I felt that it was a complete waist of my time, and not a skill that I would use in my life after leaving the center. Not on
ly that, but at the end of the program, my braille teacher had us write a 3 page book report on a book we were reading using the slate. I, of course, did not end up doing this, and as a result, she gave me an alternative project where she told me several sentences and I had to write them on the slate. This wasnt as bad as the book report, but I would have still prefered not to use the slate in the first place. When I was all done with the sentences she gave me, I took my paper out and gave it to her. Then she said, you know this is a quiz. I would have expected you to do a lot better than you did. I didnt say anything to that, but I felt very offended because I was trying my best. The slate has never been my strong point. I am very slow and horrible with it.Despite my negative experiences at that center, I did have a couple of possitive things. First, I had a technology instructor who I got along very well with. He and I had a lot in common, and he had
me do tasks based on my skill level. He showed me the braille sense U2, which I took an interest in almost as soon as I got my hands on it. At the end of the program, he told me that I was very teachable and picked up quickly on a lot of technology. The other students hadnt been as easy for him to teach, because they would either refuse to learn or not pay atention in class.Secondly, I had a mobility instructor who I really liked. I ended up going through 3 mobility instructors. The first was my old appartment counselor who got very impatient with me, so I ended up changing to another one. Before that counselor I had had another mobility instructor who I liked, but for some reason they changed me. After my counselor, I got another mobility instructor who I learned a lot from. He and I worked a lot on public transportation, something which I had been wanting, because I hadnt gotten experience with it. Every day, we had to ride a bus from the center to our appartment
s, which was about 8 blocks away, and we had to keep track of a bus pass. So despite my negative experiences, I did take some things away from that program. The summer before last, I went to the Louisiana center for the Blind in a small town called Ruston. Overall, I had a much better experience at this center. My mobility instructor was very patient with me, at least the later one I had. Again, I had had a guy who wasnt my favorite, but they changed me over to a woman who I learned a lot from, like crossing streets. I didnt get a lot of public transportation experience, because we were in a small town. But I did get some, because we would sometimes travel over to Monro, which was about 30 minutes away and ride the busses. Then, we would get some mall travel, which wasnt something I got in Colorado. They also didnt focus as much on the slate as they did in Colorado. However, I didnt learn a lot of technology, because we didnt have intern
et for the first while when we were there, so we ended up having to use the centers internet, which was about 5 or 6 blocks from where we usually did classes. We usually did classes in the appartments. I also got a lot of daily living experience at both centers. I learned how to cook, do laundry, and clean more effectivly. I also felt that I fitted in much more at this center. I was able to talk and interact with just about every person. I also attended the NFB conventions when I went to both centers, and that was a great experience. Now about blind schools. I attended a blind school for 2 years, my 8th and 9th grade years.

Yeah, Ive experienced the silly Back-needs-Refresh nonsense on Safari too.Interesting youre saying Chrome works well in VoiceOver; perhaps its progressed in leaps and bounds since I last tried it. But when I did, half the controls werent even labelled. I wonder if the increased popularity has something to do with this? I shall try it again, for sure (without ChromeVox).I like Reader. I also like the links sidebar; if you configure your social networks, links will appear there from your social stream. Very awesome. Safari was always a very pleasant and well-balanced browser in that respect.

You have to jump up and to the right first... if you read the dialog in the tutorial, it tells you that when you jump up you can only move up about 4 units of space at a time. So once at 35-0, you need to jump up and to the right to get onto one ledge, then keep going up.

At risk of sounding cliche, Ill agree with the assessment that Cowboy Bebop sounds better in English. Theres more emotion between the characters, the dialogue feels more natural, and many members of the staff themselves have praised and say its the version they prefer to watch.Another similar example is the creator of El-Hazard: the Magnificent World saying that the Japanese dub was good, but that when he saw it in English, it was simply the version he wanted and goes so far to say its the true voice of the story that he envisioned.CodeGeass has a more engaging dub cast. The characters are more distinct and emotive. Its been said that even Japanese viewers commonly find Johny Yongboshs performance as Lelouch more sympathetic and expressive. In the case of Panty and Stocking, it definitely fits your criteria of having a western feel. heck the animation and references have so many homages and jokes about American culture some that
have only seen the English dub claim they didnt know it was an anime at first. It says something that the Japanese script has about a quarter of its banter between the leads in heavily accented English.Personally Im a critic of literal translation and purism. Nothing will quite be the same as the original language script, but unless youre deeply familiar with Japanese culture, history, and the complicated social component to the language, as you yourself seem to be, its just not going to make much sense. After all, there is a difference between translation and localization, and sometimes both are equally important at conveying the spirit of what was meant, rather than things too tied to the culture of origin to be understood. It also depends on personal preference. I know many friends that prefer dubs, or at the least like them equally as subs, some of whom have been watching anime since the early 90s. So I dont think its just ca
sual fans that prefer subs, though there is a significant overlap between those new to the medium.TLDR, a dub is only as good as its script and acting, but has no inherent disadvantages compared with subs.

Re: Anime discussion

Definitely agree with everything youre saying. I dont doubt there are good dubs... I just havent personally found any I like as someone who speaks both languages and understands both cultures. and I dont know how much Japanese you know if any, but I feel sometimes that fans tend to side with one or the other without really knowing what theyre supposed to be listening for. People who leap on the Japanese voice bandwagon always say that characters are more expressive in the origianal, but I think a lot of them dont have enough knowledge of the language to say... they just like the sound of it. I havent actually watched any of the examples that you gave, but I wont like... Im curious. lol It definitely doesnt surprise me that some Japanese viewers would find the English more expressive than the original, considering that they have the same debates about this that we do over here... which again I dont think a lot of wes
tern anime fans dont realize. there are just as many Japanese people who prefer dubs where they feel appropriate. And youre right. Unless one is familiar with the language and culture... whether something is properly translated probably doesnt matter. And about panty and stockings, it isnt unique in that much of the dialog consists of English... much of the Japanese language itself consists of words borrowed from English. lol but to sum up, I definitely agree that dubs themselves are not bad... its all about the translated script and how good the actors are. I just dont think there are things that get acted as well in the west... Kiai for example. Dubs of anime always make it sound like people are grunting and groaning when theyre fighting... and it sounds like theyre trying really hard to take a crap. But thats one thing I was re
fering to when I said that there are some things that just dont translate well. hahaha.

@Afrim, that sounds shocking, but worryingly believable. Unfortunately most parents of blind kids do not have much exposure to, or experience of blindness and so can easily get into the mentality that a special school is everything, the same was very true of the parents of various people at my special school. @Aaron, Im not sure what is going on with worcester these days. I have heard they improved after the Rnib dropped their management, but equally Ive heard that theyve been very much in the position of scrabbling for funding and recognition given that a lot of local authorities have as I said changed their minds regarding sending kids to specialist schools out of county, so what they might be like for random training courses etc Im not sure. @Briant, it unfortunately sounds a lot like much ive heard with the Nfb. Yes, they have some good people working for them on occasion but things are very much our way or else! which is
not really fare. For example, even my specialist school never forced people to use a slate, and given braillers have existed for the last fifty years, and stainsbies before those, it just seems insane to make people do so just because it is what we teach rather than either considdering whether what is being taught is the least bit relevant or indeed is any good for the person themselves.

Its probably because of how much Kiai figure into martial arts and martial arts have a much firmer place in Japanese culture. Being on top of the JVM is not a downside, nor is using Java (even if I cannot stand the language, personally), but the code can be...ugly. It does make hosting a little harder, but not impossibly so. I think the major downside though is that it leaves literally nothing for you to do as a game designer-if we had a bunch of Coffeemuds, theyd all be the same. Think of a spell or ability idea, and Coffeemud probably already has it for you. And players know this because of all the other muds who didnt, so turning them off isnt really a good option either.

2014-12-12 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : camlorn via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Leasey has been released! Every JAWS user should have Leasey!

Respectfully, I disagree. This isnt saying that it provides me with functionality I didnt have before or couldnt get before, nor is it saying that it makes applications that werent accessible become so. It is saying that it makes computers easier to use for the new blind user, with a pretty heavily implied emphasis on not actually having to learn. What happens here is that you teach the user to rely on a system that is narrow. Nothing outside the system will be looked at because it is too much trouble. You might get more blind people on the computer, but you intrinsically limit what they can do to whatever tasks youre specifically wrapping. No one will look further for exactly the same reasons that this kind of software exists in the first place: in general, people dont want to actually learn things with expected gratification at some point in the future but requiring only work now until such time as the perceiv
ed value (not the objective value, and I think this distinction is important) is great enough. I dont rate this as particularly important in the grand scheme of making things accessible: it makes the stereotypical call center employees life potentially easier, possibly makes the lives of some beginner to intermediate users easier with the possible (Id say likely) cost that they never finish the transition to advanced, and has no impact on people who actually know the computer really well. Im not claiming that we should all be like our sighted peers, but in the long run this is yet another piece of software that could be replaced by a heres a list of things that are known to be accessible page, at least for the user who actually knows the screen reader-in at least this way, the objection I have is the same as that which I have for VIPMud.The world we have now, or at least the world that this software claims to fix, exists be
cause of basically everything in the other thread about schools for the blind. Nearly every organization that trains blind people wishes to prepare you for one specific, narrow job. To that end, we replace understanding with rote memorization of keystrokes and steps, creating a market for this kind of software. The blind people who leaves these programs know the minimum for one job and maybe a little bit extra, were never shown that theres a whole world of things you can do only because of technology, and will cling to this little tiny island. The rest of us are on the continent of understanding by comparison, but the people on the island arent going to believe in the concept of the boat. Its kind of like those stories about people who have never experienced things that most of us consider necessities, and thus never want them-but in this case it would be pretty easy to argue that its not a luxury after all.Back in the day,
Freedom Scientific had a great business plan. Theyd find broken software and fix it by whatever method they could, which usually meant writing custom scripts. Since then, we have gained accessibility standards and APIs, standardized on some common GUI frameworks, and the world of software has become 100 times larger. Yet this clearly unscalable solution exists and is still pretty standard. I strongly believe that this is because we ourselves perpetuate this mentality of if blind people really need it, one of those SR devs or someone will fix it. But suppose that we could do two things: First, get blind people to actually understand the computer enough for it to be abundantly clear to naive sighted people that computers and accessible software help blind people. Second, convince sighted people to start fixing their broken stuff and not assuming its the job of someone like Freedom Scientific or Leasey. Then wed h
ave an actually accessible world, not this world with a set of mutually exclusive giant bandaid software packages in which your expertise dont transfer because you learned to perform the task on a screen reader specific app. Furthermore, the viewpoint would perpetuate at least to some extent, causing a much longer term improvement-Id be willing to bet that Leasey does not make it 10 years or probably even 5, not unless theyve got a large source of funding from somewhere and Jaws suddenly stops looking like its going to be killed from the outside soon. And finally, the mentality of I shouldnt be like my sighted peer is dangerous. Im not saying youre saying this, but im not sure how to articulate what you are saying in anything less than a paragraph. But while it is true that we cant always be like sighted people and still be efficient, it is true that at least knowing how a sighted person does it
eases communication with a sighted person by an order of magnitude. One of my most useful skills is my ability to translate instructions aimed at the sighted into something I can do myself. Perhaps we can be more efficient in some cases by working in our own UI paradigm, but being at

Re: Leasey has been released! Every JAWS user should have Leasey!

I think we can argue a whole lot about the fact that Leasey is basically, as victorious says, a crutch for beginning computer users. We can argue that it is an overpriced scam or that it might not be a scam but is still overpriced. And I do agree with the opinion that Leasey Advanced isnt very suited towards advanced computer users. But you must remember that we on the audiogames.net forum are not the primary targets of the Leasey advertising. None of us here are beginning computer users, not remotely so. We should not be the people arguing about whether Leasey is useful for the people it is targeting. In fact, it is extremely difficult for the people who would probably end up buying leasey to know whether they need it before buying, because they would not be adept at self-evaluation when it comes to computer skills. I listened to the Leasey audio demo for Tech Talk and I feel that the program was marketed not only toward people who are inept at computer use, but peopl
e who are in an older generation, perhaps the baby boomer generation. It is probably about the same age group that RNIB advertises Azibad games for; Dark should know. The similarity between the RNIB marketing azabid games and Hartjon Consultancy marketing Leasey is a stark one; both market targets are people who probably dont know better and are probably ignorant about the basic operations of the computer, and also are afraid of breaking something due to their ignorance. In fact, the Leasey audio demo I listened to mentioned that people who were likely to want to buy leasey would be afraid of breaking something, and would be extremely glad for the structured menus and the safe environment provided by Leasey Basic. In conclusion, I think you would really have to trial run Leasey with someone who was completely ignorant about computers in order to see its effectiveness. Finding a blind person who is completely ignorant about using a computer is hard enough. Finding one who is ol
d enough to potentially benefit the most from Leasey, and who is willing to risk installing Leasey in the first place (remember, they are scared of doing anything that they are unsure of due to it breaking), is nigh on impossible. Now I want to rip on the developers a bit because yeah, they kind of annoy me. I want to start with Lulu because she is, according to both Brian and herself, the brainchild of the project. I feel like she is pretty ignorant about using her computer. I have the feeling she can do basic things on it but I dont think she can do anything beyond that. I observed her absolute bubbling over with excitement when Brian asked her whether she was excited about the Leasey development process. In fact, her excitement seemed almost too energetic to be true. Her breath came faster, her voice got higher, and she kept on saying Leasey this and Leasey that in an articulate yet babbling stream of words, something that makes me want to doubt her enthusiasm. I defin
itely think she could use help with computer tasks, but she is too good for Leasey. Even Leasey advanced is a crutch for computer users who dont know any better. And brian went along with it because yeah, he has to, because he is the catilyst. I am curious about the relationship between Brian and Lulu. Are they dating? That would explain a lot.I have said so much negative stuff that I think I should end on a positive note. From what I heard on the demonstration of Leasey, there are a couple of actually good things in there. One thing that caught my attention was Leasey Tags, which allow you to select multiple files from multiple folders and copy them all to the clipboard at once. I dont know of other programs that can do that, and it integrates right into the windows explorer window. That is way cool, especially if you have a ton of different things in different folders that are all jumbled up and stuff and you want to cut them or delete them or something. And if t
hings continue according to plan, the company plans to release Leasey spotify, which is actually good because yeah, I think accessible spotify is still hard to find. I think I remember reading on twitter somewhere it had either been released or was in the works, but it is so obscure nd youd expect it to be floating around a lot more if it actually had been released. If Leasey can get in first on the Spotify front, it will definitely gain a lot of notability, and if it continues pushing to get more traditionally inaccessible apps accessible, it could grow into something really powerful and worth buying. In conclusion, Leasey may, for now, be a scam, but if the developers keep on chuggin away at it like they have, it could grow into something great. So keep your eyes peeled, and check for user reviews from people who actually need Leasey. I have no idea where those testimonials on the website came from; they dont have any sources cited which makes it utterly

Re: Anime discussion

That does make sense, martial arts are still a bit foreign for the west. Still, Naruto has about as much in common with realistic martial arts as Sailor Moon does with astrophysics. As for knowing Japanese, I dont know much aside from probably picking out 1 word out of 10. Im more knowledgeable about culture and history. As for KM, Ive tried using f2 and generally trying any key combination I could think of to go into preferences so itll have the text to speech working, but havent gotten anything even with the review cursor. I use nvda for the record. On a previous point, it is indeed amusing that Japanese viewers act the same way when it comes to subbing western cartoons. For instance in the MLP FIM fandom, the Japanese fanbase has been critical of their dub, along with the standard anime practice of making Jpop tracks for opening and closing sequences, theyd prefer to have the original English theme, since its iconic not t
o mention shorter so they wouldnt have to edit out 2 minutes of each episode to fit the new songs.

Pirate bay copy come back following rade.

Pirate bay copy come back following rade.

BREAKINGMore than three days have passed since The Pirate Bay went down after a raid on a Swedish datacenter. While there is still no sign that TPB is preparing a comeback, several copies of the popular torrent site are drawing in hundreds of thousands of visitors.pirate bayThe torrent community is still shaken up by the abrupt raid on the Pirate Bay this week. With millions of visitors a day TPB was one of the largest websites on the Internet and despite the police action its users remain hungry for fresh content. We previously reported that other large torrent sites have noticed a significant uptick in traffic in recent days. However, many of TPB’s users are eagerly waiting for the original site to return. Thus far it’s still unclear whether the site will return in the near future, if at all. Our queries to find out more remain unanswered for now.Meanwhile there’s a ‘worrying’ development that Pirate Bay “copies” are gaining a lot of momentum. While none of these sites are associated with The Pirate Bay they are happy to welcome the extra visitors.First a word of caution. None of the sites below are related to the “official” site and visitors should beware of scams and malware. In recent days we have received more than a hundred tips from readers who announced that TPB has returned on the thepiratebay.cr. While this site does look familiar, it’s by no means an official incarnation. In fact, as we highlighted earlier, the .cr domain used to be one of the many Pirate Bay proxy/mirror sites. It has no upload functionality nor can visitors sign up to add torrents. Interestingly enough (and adding to the confusion) the site’s operators started to populate the site with new content themselves a few hours ago. The .cr domain, which was incorrectly promoted by several news media sites as an official comeback, previously redirected to thepiratebay.ee, a site that used to charge people for access to torrents. The .ee domain is another mirror site that’s getting a lot of new visitors. While the site removed its paygate shortly after the Pirate Bay raid, potential visitors should keep this history in mind. As is true for most mirrors and copies, the .ee site mimics Pirate Bay’s appearance but doesn’t allow people to upload new files. Other mirror sites, some of which have added fresh content and convenient chat boxes, include thepiratebay.hk and thepiratebay.org.es. These sites, like the ones above, are not connected to the original site. In fact, The Pirate Bay still has access to its .se domain name so there would be no reason to change that for a potential comeback. Finally, there are also “copies” that make it clear that they’re not the new Pirate Bay. OldPirateBay.org, for example, was launched by the people behind Isohunt.to. The operators told TF that their main motivation is to keep the torrents accessible, not to cause confusion.“We saw a lot of topics where people are looking for something like this. For sure it has some bugs and glitches but we are going to improve it. The tool is for the users’ convenience till TPB comes alive again,” we were told. If The Pirate Bay does indeed come back we will be the first to report it here. Until then, caution is warranted.

Re: Braillemon status update!

...When I use an Escape Rope in Rock Tunnel, I end up back at the entrance of Mount Moon. Is this a glitch or is Rock Tunnel not classified as a cave/dungeon? If not, thats rather weird. And annoying, because I have to find my way through Mount Moon again, cut the trees in Cerulean to get onto Route 9 again, and then go up and down ladders I sometimes circle around for several minutes trying to find the entry point, again and again through Rock Tunnel. If I wasnt so happy I could play Pokémon at all, I would probably throw up my hands in despair.

Re: Schools for the blind, training centers, and how they perform.

Unfortunately this is true and this happens with all the parents who have a blind kid. Some parents find it easy when they are told that his kid will have to attend a specialist school, because they do not have to worry about his child. His kid will have assistants who will care and help him for almost everything, at least, that’s “what’s literally said and promised by school’s staff”, but the chances to be all the promises true are few or less. Some assistants do not care what they have taken over but they keep talking and having fun with their colleagues sitting somewhere and maybe drinking a coffee and forgetting some kids who are in need of them. This was a case of a four year child whom his parents had enrolled in my specialist school, in fact he was too young to start attending the school, but his parents sounded like they wanted to take away his son from their life for some years. I was shocked when I was told from my friend that he was just four years old and I was at my eighth grade. So one day I came him across while I was moving from dorm to school. A number of assistants were gathered close to the outside door of the dorm, and they were laughing and having fun, like they were having a party. As I was walking, I heard a child crying. He was the four year child who was alone, wandering around, with noone to run, and nowhere to go. I went to the assistants and told them, why didn’t you help this guy go to school? They acted like they had no idea if anybody was around and needed help. Then I told them to help him go to school. They said: “where are you going?” I told that I was going to school, and they said me, “why don’t you help him yourself?”I was stunned when I heard this question and I seriously thought, What’s the purpose of these assistants who are getting a fucking salary next to nothing?
