If you have an amazon account, you can buy iFrankenstein with audio description on dvd and then rip it with a program like dvd audio extractor. You can import it from amazon uk using an amazon us account, there may be some shipping costs though.

Never mind, I believe I figured out what was causing the server to crash. Some players were abusing the auction negative bug to give themselves tons of items and whenever they would log in, the server would crash.

@Chris: To build platforms, you can create tiles above the y possision so the character can jump up on the platform. You can also make stairs. It seems as there are a lot of things missing in the builder documentation which is sad.

Your entitled to your opinion that "developers should not set release dates" however you can express it in a less insulting fashion, or turn this into a blind vs sighted wrant (which is incorrect anyway). Do not do this again. Okay, moderation hat off, but hopefully reasonable discussion hat still on. One thing I will say that I find interesting, is why does a developer who comes on the forum and answers questions about his/her  upcoming game get so much more flack than someone who just announces the game, then goes away for several months, then comes back with more news?  Really that sort of pattern makes me a little ashamed of this forum. Are people here so greedy that we can't at least be civil to developers while they work? so i've made it up to 10.2 and things are going pretty good.  but i'm getting pounded by the bombs. i might need more attack/deffense. i'm not sure. any tips?but i have afew observations and thought about the game as a whole. as well as a bug to report.starting with the bug, i went to 10.1 to grind a bit so i could get 26 technology to use the lazar saber. i had 25 tech before. i got my level i put one point in tech and the rest in attack. i then equipt the lazar saber. i then some how got my focus away from the bk window and ended up dying while using the saber. my technology went back down two 25 because my level got eraced because i died, but i was still able to go and use the saber in other levels like 10.2 even though my tech was only at 25. which is not enough for the saber.ALSO, WHERE CAN I GET THE ABICUS? AND DOES AUTOMATIC GOLD PICK UP COME WITH THE ABICUS OR IS THAT SOMETHING ELSE?FINALLY, A FAST FORWARD KEY THROUGH ALL OF THE 
 LONG CUT SEENS WOULD BE NICE. MAYBE LIKE CONTROL OR SHIFT ENTER?

Well said Assault. I for one believe the game will come out eventually, eventually being the operative word here. When it does and finances permit I may purchase it. I'm sure we all agree that Jyro might do better not to announce even tentative release dates especially given his past release practices, but I guess that's somethin he's going to have to learn and decide for himself. Either that or, if he feels he HAS! to state a projected date he could say he hopes to release such and such game by such and such a date. As for keeping quiet Philip Bennefall had a habit of doing that. You wouldn't hear from him about a new game for months or even longer and then he'd suddenly pop up on Audyssey or here on the forum to announce the availability of a new game. Then again these were games he'd just released that he'd suddenly popped up to announce and yes there's a diference between that and this. I know that for a while during the lead-up to the o
 riginal Airik the Cleric release I had my moments of doubt, particularly since I did preorder the game, and those doubts did eventually prove unfounded. So while I may not entirely approve of the way Jyro's handled the approach to his games I don't doubt that he will deliver, even if by that time most of us have forgotten all about it.

For people who have gotten past 24-3 or beaten the game, what numbers do I have to select on the dials after destroying the spark boxes? I've already tried looking at the piece of paper from the mud killer and putting the first dial to 3, the second to 5, and the others in the order of the paper, and I still explode and die after putting the numbers on the dials. I've also tried reversing the numbers, meaning 0 on the bottom, 3 on the top, same thing happens.

If you turn your compact sonar on, you will see that you can climb up to a high platform to avoid teh bombs. Just let carla pass through that area. The bombs only fall if you move there, but not if carla does.

I'm beginning to lose my patience. Please excuse the incoming rant.  I try to host a server for people to have fun on, but there always has to be some people to ruin it. After I noticed the auction bug I laughed, "ha, good on them for finding that". Once I realized it was giving them the items I asked them to stop, explaining that it was an unfair advantage. But, it got worse. People used this bug to give them huge amounts of items which causes the serverr to crash. I cleared the invintory of the players and brought the server back online. I'll admit, I got frustrated and banned a few people after the third time. I asked them to stop abusing the bug, even put it in the message of the day. I thought everything was fine so I logged off. I came back about 20 minutes later, and the server was down. I checked the log, and I was right. The last thing to go down was a huge negative auction. Of course, I cleared their inventory and put it back online, but t
 his is seriously getting on my nerves. If it keeps happening, I'm not going to keep bringing the server back online. We're all trying to have fun and play the game except for this certain group of people. I'm trying to keep the server online so everyone who comes here, myself included can play but these people are making it very difficult. It's like they think that just because I'm not online, that I can't see what they did. I know damn well who started the bugged auction, and I know who bid on it. Also because of the way the game is set up, It's difficult to ban someone online. Granted I don't have to use the game's built in banning system, but since the game logs nothing that I can use to ba someone, it's difficult unless they're onnline and I can get their information. It's pretty safe to say that when I leave later on and come back, and the server is done for this reason, I won't be bringing it back up. I hope thos
 e who are trying to cheat have fun on some other server. Maybe someone will who is in the server list will bring there's online so you can play. Those are all offline at the moment, probably because of you.

Hay Ogomez92, good idea, but the 1 stage listed still doesn't show.Also, the 99 MB file size won't work for my stage, as it's currently 184 MB.Even if I split it into chapters, 3 is still just over the size restriction.Yes, I know the current size restriction won't matter to most people, but my stage is a little more ambitious than most.Also, I have downloaded at least one other stage that won't fitin that size restriction.

Hay Ogomez92, good idea, but the 1 stage listed still doesn't show.Also, the 99 MB file size won't work for my stage, as it's currently 184 MB.Even if I split it into chapters, 3 is still just over the size restriction.Yes, I know the current size restriction won't matter to most people, but my stage is a little more ambitious than most.Also, I have downloaded at least one other stage that won't fitin that size restriction.Edit: I just checked the stages I have downloaded, and there is a Christmas stage whose file size is just bairly over the size restriction by about 6 MB or so.Edit 2: I just uploaded a few stages that weren't created by me, but I'm unsure if there download links are still being maintained or if the authors still support them.

I came back about 20 minutes later, and the server was down. I checked the log, and I was right. The last thing to go down was a huge negative auction. Of course, I cleared their inventory and put it back online, but th

We're all trying to have fun and play the game except for this certain group of people. I'm trying to keep the server online so everyone who comes here, myself included can play but these people are making it very difficult. It's like they think that just because I'm not online, that I can't see what they did. I know damn well who started the bugged auction, and I know who bid on it. Also because of the way the game is set up, It's difficult to ban someone who isn't online. Granted I don't have to use the game's built in banning system, but since the game logs nothing that I can use to ban someone using iptables, it's difficult unless they're online and I can get their information. It's pretty safe to say that when I leave later on and come back, if the server is done for this reason, I won't be brin

Ethin, correction. Sighted indie developers often miss release dates just as often... and even major developers have had games that have been pushed back months. A game that is rushed is usually worse off than a game that is delayed and turns out for the better. so while I was one of the people doubting this game's release, now I'm just content to sit back and wait... as I haven't preordered. This is why I would recommend to Giro and any other developers here that if you don't know you can meet a release date, don't announce one. And if the final game is ready, any new features and the like can be added through patches and updates. I'm still looking forward to this game, but I do hope it will get released soon... but I would ask everyone to lay off a little. This topic should just be left alone until news comes.

I've been reading this forum for quite some time. When it first popped up I was pretty skeptical about the release since this same developer has also announced working on steam punk neverland, which is also taking pre-orders. My first thoughts were, whoa this guy has two projects that he's working on, and we haven't heard anything about this edge of winter game before, and they're already releasing it? I know that developers aren't forced to announce their projects, but still, it's just odd to see that there are two projects, both with no demos or any physical evidence that has been given to support that there is in fact a near to completion game. If I remember correctly, this forum topic was posted in the last week of July some time, and there were several posts insuring that the release would make it in August. It's already two weeks into September, and the demo that was being worked on at the end of August hasn't been released yet, and to
  my knowledge neither has the full game to those who have already pre-ordered. I don't mean to rag on Gyro, or indeed any other developer, but if you're going to keep a project secret so that you don't have a bunch of players nagging at you, don't open it up for pre-orders. If you want to give people a reward for supporting you early on, you can do something like the first ten purchases will include this, this, and this for free, and if anybody else wants the extra content  they will need to pay this much for it. I for one, feel that pre-ordering is a bad practice for both the developer, and the customers. This being said, I think that the idea that has been released so far is great, and I'd love to show my support by purchasing the product, but only when it has been released will I be doing so.

Do any of you mac users play Clok? And if so, how? I really wanna play Clok, but the only really accessible way besides booting up the XP VM which is now unstable because the version of Mac OS I have is not supported by the older version of VMware, is to use MudRammer on iOS. Yeah, horrible, I know. Mudder for mac is crap, Tintin in the terminal is complicated and I'm not gonna try and make any kind of sound pack for that, and telnet, well, try deleting text in there, and you'll get all sorts of ^D ^C ^B stuff which makes the command not work. So yeah, Mudding is starting to frustrate me, a lot. Not even the games, but even getting them working in an accessible way. ugh, this should not be this hard! Especially for the "most accessible operating system ever."

so i've made it up to 10.2 and things are going pretty good. but i have afew observations and thought about the game as a whole. as well as a bug to report.starting with the bug, i went to 10.1 to grind a bit so i could get 26 technology to use the lazar saber. i had 25 tech before. i got my level i put one point in tech and the rest in attack. i then equipt the lazar saber. i then some how got my focus away from the bk window and ended up dying while using the saber. my technology went back down two 25 because my level got eraced because i died, but i was still able to go and use the saber in other levels like 10.2 even though my tech was only at 25. which is not enough for the saber.ALSO, WHERE CAN I GET THE ABICUS? AND DOES AUTOMATIC GOLD PICK UP COME WITH THE ABICUS OR IS THAT SOMETHING ELSE?FINALLY, A FAST FORWARD KEY THROUGH ALL OF THE LONG CUT SEENS WOULD BE NICE. MAYBE LIKE CONTROL OR SHIFT ENTER?

Well, got some updates since i last posted here...Chrome OS 46, once it comes to the stable channel, will "finally!" have the "higher" quality voices like on Android or the Chromevox extension on  board. Plus it won't crash like it has been.I'm on the "beta" channel as of this moment.Chrome OS 46 will come sometime in October.In other happenings, if you run the currently still "unstable" Chromevox Next Branch, if something bad happens, it'll restart Chromevox for you, thus going back to the classic/stable version.For those who haven't noticed, many concepts and keystrokes are changed in the "next" version. Still not final.

Hello all,I've been busy lately, it's certainly been a while since I've posted in this sort of topic.In the summer I went to an event called H-Con in Southampton which was a more mainstream comic con style event, but small, so much so that it was actually very comfortable to get around, of course with sighted help at least for now. I met Chubacca and it seemed to be the same one from Feel The Force, he seemed to recognize me. We then found the milten keens garison table and I got to meet someone I'd been looking forward to meeting for quite some time, by the name of Julia and her other half Mark who both then kept encountering me for the rest of the day which was very epic, I also got to speak to a dalek from a communications point on Scaro, going back in time to before the time war even happened. It got very interesting as I spoke about recent events and the person doing the voice actually did an awesome improv with me, saying the daleks will utili
 ze the data about the Doctor's new regenerations, and also when I asked which doctor was the most annoying, well, he said all of them. It turned out there wasn't a dalek there, which is why the Scaro communication point came up. From there we found a Xenomorph from the film alien, we found the Hill Valley Preservation society who let me feel some props such as hats and clocks from back to the future. I could go on forever here, but let's just say we found some droids, some stuff from terminator which will definitely be at feel the force, and finally I met someone cosplaying as the grey warden from the game Dragon Age, which was awesome as she had a bow and such that I was aloud to touch, and even a health potion pickup item.There was also an event called Jack up The Eighties, where I got to meet Timmy Mallet, an entertainer who used to be on tv. He was very funny. There was also some good music there too, although I've kind of forgotten who was there, but I
  remember a lot more about H-Con.I can now say that I have a new games console, I went for the xbox one in the end because of the way Sony seem to be quite lackluster in Europe when it comes to getting downloadable addons and content for games out on time. I've been playing a lot of the new Killer Instinct, which is really quite cinematic in nature but is one of the most taxing games I've ever played because there's a constant concentration involved, as you can try to stop attacks even if you don't block them, instead of just watching yourself get comboed, so there's a lot happening that you have to keep track of. I've also preordered the game Lego Dimensions which comes out at the end of the month, as a more co-op affair that I can play with sighted help, as that game is going to be free roaming but there will be a lot of things to do in it, with franchises such as Back to The Future, Doctor Who, The Simpsons, DC Comics, Lord of the Rings, Lego M
 ovie Jurassic World, Portal, and other stuff represented, fourteen different ones. What I like about this though is that it's one of these games that uses figures, and at first when I heard about this I was really scepticle, because in the past you basically had to buy your way to even access one level, in games like Skylanders and Disney Infinity, but the Lego Dimension starter pack will give you several levels based on all the franchises, using Batman, Wildstile and Gandalph to complete a story quest that spans them all. There are other elements that make this game more value for money than the rest of these toys to life games, but to try to explain them could take quite some time so I'm just going to leave it for now, but one last thing in here: the whole game is voice acted.On that note I'm going to also leave this post here, as it's getting incredibly long, but that's me getting busy, and looking forward to going to Feel The Force in October and a
 lso playing with Lego later this month.

Thanks Sneak and Assault freak for putting your opinions in a reasonable fashion. The forum, and indeed myself is not against anyone airing there views, so long as it can be done without insult. Personally (moderation hat definitely off for this one), I will say I can see the danger in giving specific release dates, although preorders can be helpful for a game's development and funding, sinse obviously if a developer needs to purchice sounds, hier actors, publicize their game  etc, then it will be easier to do so with some money from preorders. I would myself suggest that the status of the game to be released be simply "some time in the near future" rather than anyone holding Jyro to a specific date or month. I'm beginning to lose my patience. Please excuse the incoming rant.  I try to host a server for people to have fun on, but there always has to be some people to ruin it. After I noticed the auction bug I laughed, "ha, good on them for finding that". Once I realized it was giving them the items I asked them to stop, explaining that it was an unfair advantage. But, it got worse. People used this bug to give them huge amounts of items which causes the server to crash. I cleared the inventory of the players and brought the server back online. I'll admit, I got frustrated and banned a few people after the third time. I asked them to stop abusing the bug, even put it in the message of the day. I thought everything was fine so I logged off. I came back about 20 minutes later, and the server was down. I checked the log, and I was right. The last thing to go down was a huge negative auction. Of course, I cleared their inventory and put it back online, but th
 is is seriously getting on my nerves. If it keeps happening, I'm not going to keep bringing the server back online. We're all trying to have fun and play the game except for this certain group of people. I'm trying to keep the server online so everyone who comes here, myself included can play but these people are making it very difficult. It's like they think that just because I'm not online, that I can't see what they did. I know damn well who started the bugged auction, and I know who bid on it. Also because of the way the game is set up, It's difficult to ban someone who isn't online. Granted I don't have to use the game's built in banning system, but since the game logs nothing that I can use to ban someone using iptables, it's difficult unless they're online and I can get their information. It's pretty safe to say that when I leave later on and come back, and the server is done for this reason, I won't be bri
 nging it back up. I hope those who are trying to cheat have fun on some other server. Maybe someone will who is in the server list will bring there's online so you can play. Those are all offline at the moment, probably because of you.

Hello everybody. In my previous reply to this topic I said I had a computer question, but then I thought I'd edit that part out because I figured I'd be able to find the answer elsewhere. Well, quite unfortunately that hasn't happened so here's the situation. I seem to have run low on disk space or memory or whichever you prefer, on my MacBook Air and I think I got some misinformation from a user on another website. I won't mention the user in question just in case they are on here, but I seriously doubt it. I recently finished importing my vast CD collection into iTunes using a SuperDrive which I got for Christmas last year. This problem seems to have started right after that, which makes me think it has something to do with the way in which I imported or something else with iTunes. That's also what somebody else told me. My memory has gone from 120.11 gb down to about 5 or so gb, and I need to install some software updates on here but can't bec
 ause there's not enough room. I've checked if there's any artwork perhaps left over from these CD's, and I've done some other things but VoiceOver keeps reporting about 5 or so gb. My Mac is totally usable otherwise, which is partly why I am so concerned about this. I'm happy to contact AppleCare, but I'm pretty sure my free trial has run out and I don't want to unnecessarily incur an extra cost on my parents' credit card. I know there's a way to access some kind of terminal on here with VoiceOver, but aside from that I'm clueless as to how to fix this issue. Any help greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me privately if this is too off topic. Life has been rather chaotic lately, but I will respond as soon as possible.

The fast-forward key is A. Hold it down and it'll skip through everything. Automatic item collection comes after either stage 11 or 12 when you receive the item helper from an npc. And bombs are not hard to avoid since you can hear them coming well before they drop... the blast radius isn't so big, so just keep running and you'l be fine, unless you're talking about an area where it just rains bombs... in which case you need to use the grappling hook and get to a higher surface so you can run through safely without them hitting you since they'll just explode underneath you.

 overnment. yesterday and Friday I spent a couple of hours standing around in Nottingham city practicing my voice projection as I asked people to sign the petition.  It was very hard work, especially sinse despite my liking for being on stage I'm actually rather shy (especially in crowds), but I found a technique which tended to work rather well, and I did collect about 50 signatures on friday and about 90 on saturday, indeed between myself, my mum, my dad and my brother we've managed to get 650 sigs between us which should certainly help. Of course whether the fat cat bus mogals and the idiot chair stuffers at Westminster take any notice is anyone's guess, but you can't say I haven't done my part :d. In other news, I heard the LAst adventure special from Big finish. This was an attempt to do the 6th doctor's regeneration. Other than his rather pointless new companion called Constance, (who we had one story with), I thought the hole thi
 ng was awesome, but then again I've always been a big fan of both the sixth doctor, and the Valeyard. Indeed I confess for personal reasons several lines from that just hit me rather hard.I'm now about to catch a train back up north, and should hopefully get a lot of nice grubbage owing to the ticket being first class.Hopefully soon I'll be able to play some more games and get some site work one, though i find it very hard to concentrate on anything that doesn't relate to my lady at the moment. The bit in the dark tower where rowland says he was addicted to a drug, well that's sort of the state I'm in right now, though even more confusingly, so is my lady as well.

It's come to my attention that people are actually trying to do this around here these days, probably because I've said Libaudioverse won't support BGT.But seriously, don't.  What you're actually doing if you use camlorn_audio is building a game that crashes randomly for half of your players.  Camlorn_audio cannot be fixed.  I did not abandon camlorn_audio because it was incapable, I abandoned it because it fell over due to technical debt.  I have in no way been sitting on top of some sort of secret magic 3D audio sauce, and there is a reason that I never released stuff using it.If you absolutely must remain in BGT once Libaudioverse is available, you are going to have much more long-term happiness if you just go talk to OpenALSoft directly.  OpenALSoft does not generally crash horribly, and I'm assuming that BGT will let you get access to PCM data, so loading files into it shouldn't be a problem.  The fi
 x to Camlorn_audio's crashing is to nuke it from orbit and start over, that's why I abandoned it.There is absolutely 0 chance of getting me to fix anything related to it, provide you with support or examples, or anything at all along these lines.

Well first, get off XP, that should be the first thing that you do.  Mac, as far as I know, has no accessible mud clients.  So you'll have to use a VM or bootcamp to play.  As for suggestions, you should put them up, it might help them anyway.

There are new links in the previous post, for those who want to try.Honestly considering just getting rid of the mode, it's pretty obvious that the sonar doesn't work at all no matter how tweaked it is, and the alternative everybody insists on (adding more sound effects everywhere) would require making so many new sounds it'd be out of my budget (and even that is not guaranteed to work out). Any comments on this?(the Page Up/Down shortcut is staying though, that idea was neat)

Hmmm skype usually doesn't install this sort of junk.Why are you using an older version, the newest skype is largely accessable to a point, you just have to adjust the settings.Searching the net says you should reformat and reinstall windows.if you get skype from ms site you will only get bing offers and its easy enough to uncheck those.

Oriol this is a great idea and thanks for all the work setting it up, I shal put a link to your page on the Adventure at C: db page. it always bothers me when people create content for games like Swamp which then only get shared with invite only services such as bt sink torrents or dropbox, sinse then how does anyone outside the community (or for that matter anyone who doesn't use those services), gets hold of them. Plus of course, if someone shares a dropbox link or something else just with this forum, well the only people who get it are the people on! this forum, and if Jo Blogs downloaded Adventure at C: tomorrow she wouldn't be able to play any stages people have made. So, much credit to you, indeed you can see by the huuge! number of uploaded stages how valuable this is. it makes me want to download adventure at C: again myself and give it another blast, sinse while I admire the design of the game,I will confess I've not really sat down

Hi sic.Well  I had a slightly better time playing the game, I managed to navigate round sort of and was able to blast a few enemies, so its a little better.I was able to kill at least 7 beffore I died.Sadly its not quite there yet.Its on the way but not quite.I can tell what sfx is an enemy but I don't always clear it eventually I die.I still can't get through the first level at all.Now if you are going to remove the mode I guess you will have to refund all the people that invested in the game to make it accessable and I am one of those people.From playing the game, you are progressing, and I urge you to keep going, I Have no idea what sounds woould go where but maybe people could dgive sounds for things I am not sure if then it would even work as such.

I'm going to attempt to work with this.The only issue I see from reading the thread is the issue of having too many clues simultaneously, but the sounds don't seem like an issue to me. Of course, I can give better feedback once I've tried it, but you also stressed this was experimental. That's a very important distinction to make. I'd personally prefer to fix the rudimentary issue instead of completely changing it and adding other sounds instead of the current ones.Anyway, if I get time tonight, I'm going to grab it and enable it.

Hi livrobo,I was wondering, why can't I connect to your server? My character, Piranha seems to be corrupted. When I had the older version of the client, I was getting a message saying that I have an older version and have to upgrade. When I did so, I get the message that the password is incorrect, despite the fact that the same password worked before I updated to 9.1. Have other players on your server also had trouble? Please let me know.

I am writing this post at a time that I should probably be in bed, but I'm not. Go figureSo for the passed week and the upcoming one, I am having work practice at a hospital as part of school. Speaking of therapy, I am studying to be a Massage therapist, and I'm finally on my last year. For these 2 weeks of practice, it's basically like working proper including having to get a contract. This is my second time at this hospital as I did this last school year back in April. It helps that the people I'm working with, both patients and the other therapists, are very nice and helpful (as in I'm learning quite a lot from them) and last week I got my first ever tip (as in money).In other news, although I haven't ordered any new apple things recently, thanks to fellow forum member guilevi I will be most likely getting a Braille N' Speak 2000 in a few weeks. He got one for himself a few months ago and I've always been fascinated with old
  tech and software (talking dosbox should be somewhat of a proof of this), so when he told me there is a place selling working ones for very cheep I jumped at the possibility. It's probably going to get mostly used as an actual hardware synth. To end this post, thinking about old tech made me think of this Youtube channel. He shows off old DOS and Windows 9X viruses in action, mostly on real hardware. It's very easy to follow as he describes everything that he's doing and he  reads any messages that come up. I have to say that Viruses back then were a lot more interesting than they are now and looked a lot more like the typical virus in a movie on TV. As an example there's one that deletes your file allocation table, then has you play guess the number to see if you can get your data back. I wonder how they came up with ideas like that.

@Orin, the problem with most roguelikes (indeed the roguelike genre), is that they display everything with ascii graphics, ie, you have the arrows and you move your character on screen up down left and right, and all the monsters and stuff are represented by keyboard symbols. With a screen reader ascii graphics are rather unusable sinse sitting and listening to hash hash hash hash at hash hash dot dot bar one hash hash dot dot bar, isn't very informative as to what is happening. This ascii display is exactly what "Roguelike" actually means, sinse the original game rogue displayed things like that. There are it is true several very awesome roguelikes in terms of style and random generation that to be honest I'd give my back teeth to play, from Nethack with it's dungeons and puzzles, to the more freeform Dungeon Crawl stone soop, and the extremely unique and now highly massive ascii graphics stratogy building game dwarf fortress. The problem is as I s
 aid, Ascii graphics and screen readers don't mix, though if ever someone makes a tactile screen display that can show more than 80 characters in a streight line you can bet roguelikes will be a major deal in accessible games. In fairness I will say I have heard of a few blind people who have successfully played roguelikes with an 80 character braille display, but looking at a massive and often very, very complex dungeon or other ascii graphic layout which could be as large as 300 x 100 characters with a braille display that can only show 80 characters in a streight line is pretty dam slow, so slow indeed and requiring so much memorization of layout that it alls outside the access criteria of this site, ie, playable with same effort as a sighted person.The only actual roguelike I've ever myself been able to play is Angband, (and some Angband mods), and that thanks to a lucky set of accidents involving Supernova speaking in game messages automatically, and a ver
 y large set of graphic tyles which I can see with my remaining vision, however there is no way you could play Angband without the graphic tyles just with the in game text. Indeed though I've tried a couple of other roguelikes for the same circumstances, Dungeon crawl stone soop and Nethack I've had the same problems, indeed in Nethack weerdly enough when using the large graphic tyles Sn wouldn't read the text properly which was weerd (and the graphic tyles had horrible contrast anyway).So, until that full screen tactile display appears, methinks we'll have to give roguelikes a miss.Games with the same roguelike style random generation of in game monsters, locations and objects and tactical combat but with a more traditional described interface in real English language rather than the ascii graphics are sadly very rare indeed. Thus far Kerkerkruip, (as well as some of victor's other beta projects like idols of war), The wastes and one thus far ve
 ry early alpha game with a name like dungeon cyoa (even though it wasn't a gamebook), which a topic was posted about a while ago are the only ones I know. You might also count wumpus 2000, though there the random generation of locations is pretty limited (for more see the Wumpus 200 entry on the db).If however this other game you speak of  has propper text descriptions rather than using the top down ascii graphics of a roguelike, definitely let us know, as I love this style of game as you can probably gather .
