Spoilers ahoy!The rest of the post is spoilers for all three games:Their story, as I understand it, is that they were originally living in the mountains and lived mostly by hunting and gathering, but Yokutanku's food-hoarding plot in BK1 forced them to go to the cities, and since they weren't so familiar with a society where you aren't supposed to just beat up whatever stands in your way, they did exactly that.BK2 opens with a gang of them breaking into your house. I don't remember if this was explained as anything distinct from their normal practices, if maybe they came after you because of the first game, or what, but after stage 9, the one called Killer explains that the enormous army of them you fight in 9-4 came for revenge for all the Brat Boys you'd killed up to that point. Killer mentions something about not being able to go back to them, since he didn't participate in this battle or because he stayed to help you or somethin
 g like that.It turned out that  Punish, the main antagonist of BK2, took advantage of their outlaw status, and started manipulating them with the mysterious chips that some of them drop when you defeat them.When you beat the Search and Destruction Robot 2.0 in 25-4, it's revealed that Punish was being influenced by one of these chips as well, because AI is a crap shoot, in TV Tropes terms. When he is freed, there isn't quite so much encouraging the Brat Boys to keep reeking havoc, so you find out in BK3 that they mostly start either integrating into society, or returning to the mountains (I forget which; I think it's the first one).As for Super Attacker, he was begin controlled by a Mysterious Chip, and since you can beat him but he survives the battle, he is freed from the chip's influence, and joins you out of gratitude and to help free the others who are being controlled.In BK3, Killer / Super Attacker (I forget which) teaches yo
 u how to use the shield, and they go with Yamijin / Yokutanku / Punish to try and rescue you when you get captured after 3-4. All of the former bosses get captured, and you spend stages 5-9 trying to rescue them. In the cutscenes in the last few stages, you can hear most of your allies participating in the battles in the cities while you raid the Fortress of PEACE, including Killer and Super Attacker.

I guess the cheap answer would be "Like Swamp, but more so". Although Swamp can get away with a lot of simplicity in the use of environmental sounds, because the zones can be as small as the player, so everything of interest gets labeled.If the player can interact with things--get spoken or written reactions, even if they aren't just narration-style descriptions--that could help.(It might be computationally expensive, but if objects between the listener and the sound source can affect the sound (volume or some kinda dampening or what have you), that'd naturally be great.)An important part is just navigability in general. The best audio in the world isn't worth much if it's easy to get disoriented without the visuals. (For First Person, A compass, or being able to turn in distinct increments (15, 45, or 90 degrees?) help loads, since orienting one's self via distant objects isn't really possible.)This is wher
 e virtualizing as much of the other senses as possible would be helpful. Something like a virtual cane (I reference Swamp again) could be useful for navigation, but also for examining more details of one's environment. Yes, this would trade quick navigation against detail in areas where it is the only way to really understand what's around, but at this point we're running up on the same problems as real life.(Speaking of real life, lots of silent objects are detectable via what I guess is probably passive echolocation. It's not really practical for computers to simulate this, but it'd be awesome if it was. Hi!I'm playing PCA and right now I'm stuck on Golden Rod City after beating Team Rocket at the Radio Tower. I went up Radio Tower's five floorss, beat the fake manager, got the basement key from him. Walkthrough says I should go to the underground tunnel and look for a blue door. I believe I am at the underground tunnel, there's the haircut guy here and all, but pathfinder locator don't seem to list any door. Can anyone help me here?

Good video, thanks for sharing.It is great that they are experimenting with more informed sound, rather than playing sounds at the realistic levels, or playing all vocals the same for all players.I hope they start a trend that gets other game companies incorporating more informed sound.I also like how they said you could get a good sense of your surroundings by using their quad delay system, which is apparently pretty inexpensive performance wise, and something I think would benefit blind players in many first person games, not just shooters.Lots of good stuff to learn from, but the thing that stuck out to me most is this Dolby Atmos system over headphones that apparently is able to let you sense height through audio.I'll have to look more into that.Do you need a special set of headphones to get the benefits of Dolby Atmos?I wonder how difficult it is to use from the programming / sound production end.

Cinnamon, I have to agree. I don't know how one could expect the company that really has not been focused on web accessibility, refuses to let Manuel Cortez develop an accessible facebook app, and doesn't update the mobile site, to come out with a great picture ai at the first go. This is very experimental. Just like with Nether Wrelm with Injustice's accessibility mode, you wouldn't expect a fully voiced menu, every narrative being announced, stuff like that, would you? It comes with time, time in which people who aren't as educated on this as others can get more educated. I'll bet you a million bucks that facebook didn't get help from Tap Tap See on this ai, and is a completely new experiment for them. Give it time. I don't see how someone can be negative about it when it literally just! came out yesterday. It'll get better, and if anything facebook may add in the option to also add their own descriptions if they want.

Greetings all.I've completed the game with all 4 endings; the campaign ending, the underworld ending where you completely destroy the core and the peaceful endings where by you either comply or die. All that remains now is to ask about the secrets, I wonder what they are and what they do? Now I've just got the great clown head and levelled it to level 4 and I'm waiting until I have 2500 energy to jump-start defence production. I wonder why the level 4 requirements are so high? The reason why I ask is because once you've got 9 of each commodity, 500 attack of the clown spirit presents little challenge but before getting 9 of each stat, 500 clown spirit attack seems ridiculously high. That's why my new world is going to take a few weeks to fully develop unless there's a way to instantly max out our energy, attack, defence and followers.Kind regards, Amin Abdullah.

You're correct about Super Attacker, he's an ultra brat boy. I think Killer is also an ultra brat boy, because there were 2 who joined you in the second game. Killer was the first one, then in 16-3 you fight Super Attacker and at the end for some reason he decides to live with you. If you want to be a brat boy yourself, it's actually possible! It depends on the kind of brat boy. If your thinkin of being an ultra brat boy like Super Attacker or Killer, your gunna need to be really strong, and you'll have to be able to throw iron balls, huge ones of course. I'd recommend you to take some lessons in shot put to improve your throwing of iron balls, then some type of marcial arts and self defense to teach you how to punch, grab people and throw them, and other stuff that brat boys can do. After that, make sure you're able to hold a 50 pound sledge hammer in 1 or 2 hands, it doesn't matter. If you have to hold it in 2 hands, all you can't do is th
 e combination where they use the hammer then immediately throw the iron ball. The powerful, super, and ultra brat boys use swords, but you don't have to unless you want to. Remember, you're trying to make a brat boy out of yourself. Now, comes the limitations of being a gakishonen. You can't, and I mean can't, bring those weapons to school, college, or a job. However, you can use those weapons if you get into a bar fight, or if bad guys come and try to kill some of your family or you, use them to fight back! Don't conceentrate on the imitations or voices until you've got good with all the weapons. Before atempting all this, check the games, mainly the second ultra gakishonen in BK 1 to make sure you've learned all the attacks and things that gakishonen have. And once you've completed all these steps, and your parents allow this, you should now be an ultra gakishonen! A real ultra gakishonen!

At present, since google has worked closely with humanware on the braillenote touch, which is certified by google, the braillenote touch uses the modern talkback sounds. Which does mean, that in one way or another, midi support is back on the braillenote. And android kitkat is not that out of date. It is still a stable framework that can be worked with, and google is still supporting kitkat and will provide security updates to humanware that will be applied to the braillenote touch.

I've always been wondering who did the gakishonen, (brat boy) voices for the games, and I'm guessing by fast you mean movement speed. If your talking about the first boss of BK 1, he's slow compared to the expert gakishonen before Yokotanku's Dungeon. As well as the voices, I've also been interested in brat boys in general, not just the voices. If you like brat boys, try 16-3 in BK 2, 1 time with translations from Q Translate and the other using Japanese. Listen to the japanese before the fight. Kill kill kill, off with you! Yah haa! It seems like in that level, it's ultra gakishonen VS ultra gakishonen. It seems to me that the ultra brat boys aren't only the ones that do the most damage, but they're also the meanest ones, even mean to each other, as you'll see in 16-3. Hmm, I wish I knew all of what happens in that level, and most of what they're saying. It seems like 16-2 ends with some of the super gakishonen telling your charac
 ter about their boss, so maybe the ultra gakishonen you fight is their boss. Then one of the brat boys says something about Punish Technology, and that's all I can understand after the fight.

Don't worry, be happy. Really, the storage shown is good enough to be practical, and you don't need to do anything you can't already do in Settings. Moreover, just because an app can use docs and data storage doesn't mean there is any, or that it will be accessible through Drive.Still, if you really want to know, and if you're careful, dig around in "~/Library/Mobile Documents". "com~apple~CloudDocs" is your iCloud Drive. You could then delete the stuff you wished vanquished.iCloud Mail always takes up a tiny amount of storage, and sadly it can't be disabled once enabled. That doesn't mean you've got to use it, though; forward all your mail to an invalid address and it'll bounce, and change your Apple's primary email address to your true one and ignore the iCloud alias. If you never used Mail, I wouldn't worry about it, even though it is annoying.

Dictionaries, maybe? So you'd know if an area is empty because there is no entry for that position.If the building blocks are only for fragmenting, You could also set up your maps to use solid objects, and when an object is destroyed, use nested loops to replace it with the fragments. This would, however, result in the potential for lag if there were a large number of objects around, unless you organized them with something like scene graphs (I don't really understand how those are supposed to help) or dictionaries.I'd probably suggest using dictionaries either way.

DoT or Damage over Time skills basically distribute damage over a certain number of time, or in this case rounds, rather than in one burst attack (Direct damage).. Venom tip, Toxin Strike, and Toxin Mist are all skills that have a damage over time aspect. The Priestess has one as well that isn't a poison, but I can't remember what it's called. Typically they are stronger than DD skills in a long fight, but only useful to a class that either can heal or avoid damage entirely. In some games it was possible to stack DoT s of different types, dishing out tons of punishment every few seconds while running around avoiding getting hit.

Handling building blocks in games?

Hi all,I may be going at this wrong. Who knows. But in my game, I'd like to make blocks. These blocks would be made up of building material, each of them taking up just one unit. For example, a building material placed at 10, 10, 10, would only take up the square 10, 10, 10. The reason I'd like to go about it this way would be to simulate almost real building, I.E. when things blow apart, they go into fragments, some of which could be collected again.  However. Doing this would require the creation of arrays with thousands of elements, especially for large structures. I at first didn't think this would be a bad idea, since game developers creating object oriented maps, I.E. An array of tyles, can end up with 10 thousand elements in their array.  Is this a bad approach? Is there something else I should rather do?

Lucho, I'm going to guess that you are being affected by a pesky bug I intend to track down and squash today.  For some unknown reason, a few random underground tiles become bugged and you are not able to perform jobs on them.  This has now been reported by only 3 people, so it's pretty rare, which is why I've had a little trouble recreating it in order to find out its cause.Dark I completely agree that every essential resource should be obtainable by a player who is willing to do the work.  I need to split my thoughts into 2 directions to continue my reply, so here goes with thought number 1.  I disagree that sand is absolutely required for expansion.  It is used to make glass, and the glass is only used in the church, tavern, city, and tudor house.  Each of those building types are purely optional and don't produce any of the things a player needs in order to expand.Thought number 2 would be a question about timing.&
 nbsp; If we assume that glass Is actually a necessary item, then I still wouldn't see any issues.  All players have mineable resources under their land, but cannot access them until they've done the work of gathering resources and constructing a mine.  After the mine is built they may have to spend some time tunneling around to find the exact things they are looking for.  In a similar way, if your plot doesn't start with sand, expanding to a new plot is the self sufficient way to search for it.  If you're unlucky you may have to expand to a 3rd, but I view it no differently than I view mining metals or gems out of the ground.  As long as the person is willing to put in the effort, no outside help is ever needed to get any type of metal, gem, or even sand.When it comes to the gold dust verses sand thing, it depends on how someone is picturing the sand.  Your average handful of sand from a beach is not necessarily going to work 
 for primitive glass making.  Finding silica sand is the way to go, and not every place (even with bodies of water) is going to have this type readily available.  Whenever possible, I do try to lean in the direction of realism, lol.  It isn't always possible, and sand may be a time where reality was stretched rather than broken.

hi,well, actually to be precise, there is a 90 percent chance of me not attending the event let alone experiencing how it feels like etc.besides, what a great idea above, now the only fact being that my digital recorder decided to create troubles at least a couple of weeks ago, so i can not stick up a recording even if i ever decided to make one. also, not sure what others think but i may want to prefer not to record any such event as one might be expected to maintain a formal behaviour throughout the recording and so on, which can be hard to do among excitement and local conversation. although people having english as their first language wouldn't probably have any reluctance for the same. the above idea also reminds me of sound seeing podcasts like blindcooltech, where i remember hearing a few recordings of different events or exhibitions etc. one of them included an event of some sort where blind students were briefed about the functioning of a car and some be

Susan is among the voices I have for Expressive, but she isn't officially released. Some people took the voice somehow  and did the add-on. But I think if I wasn't mistaken, that Code Factory included it in their Eloquence add-on. And yeah, whenever a new driver will be present, newer then Expressive, then the voices' dictionaries and quality might have been improved for a bit, especially the dictionary

Update. so apparently, microsoft's failsafe is to refuse to let you start the game until you run the save on your xbox1, if your account is detected. Means I have to get in touch with my cousin, I suppose. Dang it... and still no way to figure out where that season 1 and 2 content will be. Also, while I'm at it, does anyone know what the major changes are in season three aside from new characters, stages and new lighting effects along with the more subtle system and balance changes?

In terms of Ios, none I know that are accessible, (sadly though star traders elite is accessible, their 4x game isn't). In terms of pc, there are still a couple of old bbs style games kicking around like tradewars, though your best two options are either browser based, or muds. In muds there  is wayfare1444, which  involves building a colony on a distant planet, lots of building and crafting and resource gathering, also people management and vehicles. I'm not sure if this is exactly what your looking for but it's very cool. website is at http://wayfar1444.com/ Browser based, there are lots and lots and lots! of options. going from the simpler stuff like starship traders which is a browser frontend for a bbs game, to dayly grindy stuff like colony wars, complex design affairs like ateraan or astro empires, right up to amazingly complex things with research trees like astro g
 alaxy. Have a poke around here, on www.whitestick.co.uk on their games to play online page and on our database and you'll find something sinse such games are very frequent. I confess myself I'm still! waiting for that awesome single player 4X game which isn't just about which online player can minimax the fastest and keep his/her ship designs away from competitors, but I suspect I'll be disappointed until either a single player game or an online game not ruled by the pvp hacks comes on the seen.

you know what would be cool? if they would take this same concept playing by sound and if they would build an ongoing virtual world that you could live in, that is, the world wouldn't have an ultimate ending or any sorts of goals you had to meet, but rather a sandbox kind of world where you could live work and grow inside the world and have player run cities towns and villages for example. Man if only I knew how to get hold of these guys I would bounce this idea off of them and see what their thoughts were. Thanks a lot for this presentation. Hard to tell Assault. I have the copy only on my win 10 so can't help. Regarding the running the game for the first time? It should be okay, there aren't any prompts and it's only checking for the downloadable content and don't know why, it takes like 15 20 secs.

Right. The bottom line is, how do I keep my characters from seasons one and two which I already bought on the pc version? Are they automatically detected through my account? Or do I have to start from scratch and just buy everything again? Because if I do, then I'm just going to get the supreme edition... I just want to kno how this works and nowhere seems to explain it clearly, other than the fact that for your save to transfer you have to start the game on your console first.

I've never formally introduced myself, although I've been here about a year.I have been a programmer for many, many years (30+) and seen many changes over the eons (yes eons, it feels that way)I have come to know a fair part of this community, and the creativeness involved in those people, and it only cements my idea that we truely live in our brains, and our representation of reality, not what some specific sensor says (like eyes), its the mind that brings together the reality, and as I have seen from my players, spacial awareness and other things are never hindered. Its truely been an enlightening experience for me.A great forum here!

Keep in mind that often times, the opinions of the characters don't necessarily match with the opinions of the players.  Each player will have their own favorite weapons, and will only occasionally agree on which is best.  Mainstream games often don't have a weapon that is obviously the best like Undead Assault does.

Mid April, and some new thoughtsGiven some recent talks about RPG, and wanting to do something different than just grinding away doing the same old thing, a few concepts come to mind. One is that for each type of sub-plot or set of actions, the system might remember what you've done, and act differently because of past actions (like a thief or robber is scorned by others).This would vary greatly by sub-plot, of course, as some actions in one aspect or area, while not acceptable in polite society in some places, is perfectly acceptable in others (like the rough and tumble wild west, compared to a victorian era polite society)In particular, I can think of a few places in Flux where such actions could be recorded and things might play out differently for you, depending on what you've done in the past. In the case of magic, and casting spells, this is already done, but it could cover many more areas in general.This does bring up the question of on
