Hi,A macbook air was able to run win8.1  without lagging and with a few things running like jaws, and a few other applications?Wouldn't have thought so looking at its processer and such that are available.I guess the apples website displays only the latest versions of macs? Hmmm.While I don't care for this clone I have a few points.1.  if you think that anyone that tweaks a bit of old source has their stuff fail you really need to look at those that look at making retro games.Like hacker that made all those old computer games like gotcha, and the braill n speak battle game which I like and also the useless camel crap game.Fact is a lot of those were ported from old boxes.What about the vilians game or however its spelt it came from an old game.What about beat star, bopit has been round for years.There are others, braillemon, pocomon computer access, other retros.All arcade games are retros.I do agree there are some things best left alone though.I for example while I think mason's sfx are really good am not sure I would play any of his newer games because of all the ups and downs with them in general, its unsettling to say the least and thats all I will say on that.As for

I was hoping that you might be able to make your own adventures, like custom levels with the ability to add enemies from the previous game or games. This may not be possible but maybe you could set what characters you can go in as, and even set restrictions to only allow surton characters for a surton level. Just a suggestion, I really hope the custom feature is added but I will be fine if it isn't added, it would just be a thing that will make bk3 twice as fun as it already is, and considering how it already is a lot of fun, that's saying a lot. . Also, and I don't know if it's possible, but maybe you could possibly add custom dialogue sounds depending on what character's speaking, if you don't understand what I mean, take the game under tail as an example. Hello,I'd personally go for a MacBook Air. I've had my 2013 Air for the last 2 and a half years and wouldn't dream of going back to a bulky and heavy Windows laptop. I expect this machine to run smoothly for the next 5 or 6 years. Even if Apple ditches it in terms of OS X updates, it should still be able to run Windows. Well, that should be correct unless Microfail decides to change things up again. Did I mention that BootCamp rocks? I've briefly installed 8.1 on this machine, and it's fantastic! I think the SSD helps, but aside from shorter battery life, Windows was running like a champ on this thing. The only thing you may not like is the fact that newer Macs won't run Windows 7 in BC. However, you can still run virtual machines which support almost every version of Windows under the sun. If no native Windows 7 support in BootCamp is an issue for you, you may not want to consider a Mac.editI believe the only Mac still being sold
  that runs 7 natively is the mid 2012 MacBook Pro. Windows 7 support stopped with 2015 Macs and higher.

It would help if you gave us an idea of what you'd like your game to be. Making a game accessible for the blind is actually quite simple. You just have to convert the things you see into some kind of audio clue. For example a person's health meter might change colors depending on how low it is. To make this information available to a blind individual, rather than having a synth voice read out the change, you can simply add a small noise or even heavy breathing to indicate low health. I know in the VR space it's possible to touch objects. Since the sense of touch doesn't transfer with VR headsets, you can have a short description of the item read out by a screen reader as the player comes into contact with it. The same can go for rooms. Sounds and text is enough to convey most anything. You can take a look at the screen reader NVDA as it is free, and open source.  me copy the text you wish to have read out to the blind player and an add-on in the screen reader will read it off automatically. In fact I believe Skullgirls used this method for some time.My personal advise would be to make a horror game. Audio is the best at scaring the crap out of people.

Hi guys, sorry for the double post, I try not to do this at all, but I just had this message show up when I finally managed to get my second plot of land, and wondered if anyone else has had this happen.  I have my new plot with 1 worker, so I tried to get him to collect sticks, but I get this message:  Missing requirement, wrong stage.  I've tried other jobs, like planting flowers, collecting long grass etc, but nothing, just that same message.  I also tried logging out and back in to see if that'd fix it, but no luck. My first plot, Lori's home works just fine, but it looks like my 2nd one haven is broken.  I'm not sure what else to do other than yell at my worker for seemingly going on strike.    From Lori.

What also would be nice is if you could disable the pause music. Usually if games can be modded I change the pause sound to silence, but since there is no easy modding system (by that I mean no way to mod an existing pack) I am not able to change it easily.

@Guitarman, exercise is generally a good thing, I do a ten minute sprint and another 15 minutes or so with weights each day, anymore and it'd be too much of a pest to do, any less it wouldn't ahve the effect, but it does generally help me feel better and much improve my lung capacity and singing voice. I've not read any John Saul yet, he's on my list of authors to try, my lady enjoys his stuff when she's in a horror mood, though the next person I want to try horror wise is Peter straub. Right now I have King's under the dome on my victor to  have a go at sinse I've not read it yet and as I've been reading a lot of fantasy and a couple of sf novels I will probably want a break. I've just finished Pat O'she's hounds of the morrigan which was really awesome, particularly sinse it was a book I read when I was 10,a sort of commical take on Irish mythology which I'll probably review. well things h
 ave been marginally hechtic sinse I've been seting up my lady's lptop with supernova, windows, winamp and lots of other things, and she's been trying to get used to some of the supernova keys and such, though it seems to be getting sorted now albeit it's been rather stressful, particularly sinse we're still trying to sort out visa applications and such as well. I've not had much gaming time, indeed a bit of alteraeon is about as far as I go, and even that went rather badly yesterday.@Ishen, I'm not sure what you mean by "maintain a relationship with a girl" Really it's not that different to anyone else. I've heard from people that it actually lasts a long time as compared to all these other menufacturers out there, and I guess I agree from what I have seen.The macs at the high end are defenitly out of my price range though, so I asked if I cou;ld get a mac around that price which woul
 d do everything I want it to.Even if I end up getting a mac I believe I'll end up installing windows alongside because as things now stand, I can't play all these audiogames or muds well on a mac. but for other things, I could do just as well with a macI have no clue if apple even sells refribished macs out here, but I'll ask around and see what I end up with.Right  now, I could probably get a desktop be it a windows or a mac mini, which would meet all my needs just fine, but I have to carry these laptop and such around for taking notes and such, so needs must.

I wish to apologize, I was not aware of this warning. I will get in contact with mason because even he liked up and would rerelease it if it hadn't died in such an epic way. I'm glad so many people are enjoying the game!  When I first showed the rough idea to Kai, I flat out told him I expected the game to either limp along (with few fans) or flop.  The puzzle divided game was a complete flop, and while it's a lot different than this game, I wondered if the "thinking puzzle" idea is what may have been the problem.  I am thrilled that I was wrong!  Jonnyboy, originally I was going to lock the levels so you couldn't jump ahead.  I forgot to enable that when I sent out the game for everyone to play, and later decided to just leave it how it is.  This way if someone gets hopelessly stuck on a level, they have the ability to skip it and go back later, if that's what they really want to do.I need to disable the tool exchanger on the lower maps that don't require it.  I d
 idn't think of it at the time, but yeah, that's something I plan to do in the next update.Smoothgunner, I think it would be pretty fun to listen to, but I also think making such a walk through would be extremely difficult.  Most players can probably pick out a few of the most obvious easter eggs in the story, but to spot them all would be a challenge.

Anyone has any luck with using System Center Configuration Manager 2012? I tried it with jaws with the build that supposedly has improvements to allow screen readers to read the console better but it would be difficult to even describe it as usable in its current form.

So I spent a couple hours this morning coming up with some new features for a secondary game mode. I updated the cite as well, but I'll also paste it here for your convenience.Hey guys, so I’ve recently done an entire re-design of the project, or maybe it should be referred to as an addition. The overall mechanics will be the same, and the original mode, that is team versus team in an urban setting killing each other to determine who is best will also remain an option. However, in my original plans I had decided that I would not add enemies to the map that are controlled by AI. This is no longer the case. In fact, an entirely new mode will also be added that allows a group of players to spawn their avatars on a map similar to the arena in the second book of “The Hunger Games”. The clock arena if you will. I’ll go into more details about it below. Visualizing the Big PictureThe main principle of this game mode is that there will be an over map of a 3 by 3 grid. If you have a hard time picturing this, think of two straight vertical (up and down) lines that are spaced about an inch next to each other. Now picture two more lines, but this time horizontal (laying sideways) and have a little space between each other. They should also intersect the vertical lines in a way that creates a square box in the middle. So hopefully now you are picturing what most would call the hash tag symbol, or the number sign.“What’s that sound?”This symbol also looks like a three by three grid that has been sectioned off into 9 different quadrants. Now, each of those quadrants are like boxes. They will contain certain unique characteristics that give them benefits and some non-benefits… Like 10 lightning strikes in a quadrant every 3 seconds, or a pack of mutated moles who dig up from the ground and chase your avatar down. If that’s not your cup of tea, try for The quadrant referred to as “Death’s Touch” by most living individuals. This name was fashioned after its flora’s poisonous contact. This means any touching, rubbing, bumping, or idiots blindly running through any plant life will result in a long and painful demise. At least you won’t have to deal with the Earth deciding it’s tired of your avatar  waiting around and rips the ground beneath their feet wide open sending them plummeting to their eternal entombment. I literally had to edit this because I forgot to put in that this was actually a thing that will happen. LOL, My bad.How’s this for “Hashtag the struggle is real.”.If dealing with this map wasn’t enough, remember that group of people you arrived with? Yeah, well they’re trying to kill your avatar’s face off with anything and everything. Y’know that plant life I mentioned earlier? Seems if you’re careful enough you can grab a branch and grant “Death’s Kiss” on any avatar who is unlucky to be caught unawares, or lucky, depending on how you look at it. At least nobody tried to blow your avatar’s legs off with a tripwire plastic explosive. “Ooooh, a loot box for me?”, BOM!Not all of humanity is entirely obsessed with big swords and muscles. Sometimes smart people can resort to very crafty acts of destruction. Like setting one of those trip wire explosives in front of an enticing loot box. “Wait, I didn’t win? I killed everybody though!”.It won’t be all violent bloodshed though. No-no. Violent bloodshed only gets you so far. Unless your avatar is  wielding a giant claymore, in which case violence will get you about 6 feet through anything your avatar cares to point it at. To be the winner you will first have to be one of four players who is able to reach a defense point. There is a single defense location in each quadrant. Only one player can be in each quadrant’s defense location for it to count down. The first four players who are able to secure their quadrants defense location for a minute will advance to the next stage of the match. This will grant the players temporary immunity from one another. You will have about 3 minutes to go out and collect items and goods. Once that timer hits 0 though, it’s open season on everybody’s avatars. rogue at quadrant 3 backstabbed chemist.chemist took 53 damage before armor reduction.rogue has been killed in quadrant 3 by chemist’s acid wash trap.Naturally there will be a winner. In fact there will be a winner for each category. These will range anywhere from how many people you slayed to how much of the map you covered and how much time you spent in each quadrant. You’ll be able to review your stats at any time, and they will be remembered as you play. Anyway, I hope you all have enjoyed this update. The only thing I found that didn't work with NVDA is the treeview.Since the treeview is needed for practicly everything, there really isn't much you can do with it. If all you do with iTunes is back up your iOS device, then no problem, just continue using it.Luckily I managed to find the previous version on filehippo so I was able to downgrade.A lesson well learnt I think, not to update software until absolutely sure it will work with your screen reader of choise.

Definitely Windows, you'll have a lot more options for hardware and software that way. Plus you'll more than likely be able to buy new and still stay in budget. Not so easy to do if you decide to go Macintosh, Apple charges way too much for their stuff.

I guess it all depends on what the meaning of is is. LOL. As far as I can recall, I still have my sniper weapon. One thing that was brought up was that event that lasted all day where a few was tortured by the lores. Of cource one or two was also jailed. I am not to sure why though. One of the ones that was jailed supposedly escaped to give away his ships and to kill himself in game. Of cource, there was that bomb RP thing that got started for a short time. As you can see, some are questioning the hosts a bit, because noone seems to know exzackly why some of things are the way they appear to be. From the best I can tell, trouble has been brewing for awhile. Someone last night said that they were going to stop playing, but I have no idea if they truely really mean it. In short, the drama, what ever it is, has been building for awhile.

Hello all. I have been playing this game for sometime now and I love it! I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. But, when I go to a level that I have not played yet, it's still letting me play it. they are not locked. For example, if I played level 2 but I wanted to play level 8 for and have not got to that point yet, I could still play that particular level. Not locked? Other than that, I love it!

yes nin is correct, you don't need the claw in lower levels, so don't even fry your brain on trying to figure it out yet lol and yes I will make a walkthrough of level 4 for ya..aprone that doesn't sound like a bad idea haha this story is very amusing I must say.and yes level 10 was a bit difficult I will admit, here is a hint, you will have to use the recharge station that is on the map, and you will have to link two switches together to do so

People should've gotten the hint when they killed off quick-time for windows. I didn't even shed a single tear when that thing died. Too many features requiring quick-time pro, very unstable. Put simply, a tragedy waiting to happen. One of the few reasons they actually keep itunes for windows going is because it's the software used to connect the ios device to the computer. So as shitty as the accessibility is now, it's more than just a matter of we don't want accessibility on competing products, in fact i's not so much that at all.

You sure you need 1TB storage?  I found a good model of Mac, the "MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012" but your going to have to find it lightly used or quality refurbished anyway, so if you feel like you can knock that extra 50 bucks off and get a 500GB instead, it'll certainly help, and the same goes for RAM, if you feel like you can upgrade it your self at home, since it's apparently not very hard especially with this model, and there are lots of guides, so you could just get 4GB and upgrade later if you need it, hell you might not even need to, especially on the Mac side.I found a really good list of things you can do to take the price down, as well, it also includes the best places to buy high quality used macs, and the stores that it suggests are ones I've heard about before on other reputable sites, so it seems pretty legit.Here's the articlehttp:/

I remember sitting down in the back of the local Radio Shack, (back when they were a parts house, not a consumer place, like now) back in 1978, playing with a radio shack Model 1, I entered almost every program in the book on the table, and the last program was the important one. It was text based version of Star trek, with dots for sectors, asterisk for stars, and an E for the Enterprise. Basically, you against the computer.fast forward to 1985, and I re-wrote this concept (as I had it in my memory at the time, to a fully multi-user system, where each player logging on could control an enterprise, or Klingon Ship, or my own enhancements, a romulan that could cloak!)It wasnt the most efficient, as I was still a pretty new programmer (2 years experience or so), but it did work, and was fun to play.In 2012, I again re-wrote this game, now with many, many years behind me in programming, and it was FAR better, and only some 2,000 lines, not the huge mess it was befor
 e. it was system efficient, and would not cause the locking or near crashing problem of the 85 version. We all get better over time!Always glad to see new programmers, but be patient, you wont learn these skills overnight, or in even a year.

I looked briefly over this, but without becoming intimate with the code, I couldnt have an opinion one way or the other, seems a bit long and wordy, but again, I didnt get to know the core of it.Programming is always an interesting blend of creativity, logic, efficiency, and readability, and not all those can be achieved together, in particular, efficiency and readability, one sacrifices one for the other.As long as you are learning, and getting better, its all good, programming takes time, take it from someone who has been programming some 30 years and is still learning better ways.

to be fair, apple doesn't really support ITunes on windows.  It has nothing to do with accessibility.  ITunes overall has always been slow and unstable on windows.  It's only a little better on OS X.  Thankfully, it seems even apple might be starting to give up on ITunes pretty soon.  It should die already.

Flux EnhancementsA series of new changes are coming, some brought about because of the Hyperloops, some, just because changes make life interesting and different.One of the newest changes is the ability to co build an area with other players.Typically, in a MOO type system, only the owner of said object or room, can modify that object. With co build, people can work together to add to an area, change descriptions, seating, noises, etc. This does include adding new rooms and exits, adding to the overall structure.The power of this ability is unheard of as far as I know, as I have never seen this on another MOO, ever.Imagine being able to work with others to develop a whole city, and while working some corner of it, being able to fix things on the spot, rather than having to tell the project owner to fix so-and-so, because you cant. Of course, this does assume that the people on the project understand the ultimate goals, so they are working for 
 the same end result. This really comes to light when people look around at something others have built, as the primary builder might not have noticed something that someone less familiar with that particular place will see immediately.In these bigger social type interactions, communication is key, so that the end goal is realized with a minimum of fuss.  Perhaps a few are delegated to the major structure related to rooms, exits and directions for an area, while others are slated for filling in some details, perhaps the local virtual seating for a room, or noises (which can be time related).I have tested all this with my alts, to be sure the minimums work, tho it might take some minor tweaking as issues come up.An interesting concept to ponder, to be sure.  Centauri

I have mush-z install on my desktop. Anyway, I am trying to recall what password I used for the char I have set up in mush-z for alter aeon. Hi,I have been looking for something similar for a while but haven't really found something I like.I did find an open-source Magic: The Gathering client written in a language I am learning. The accessibility is not great at the moment, but I am reasonably sure I can make it so. It supports about 700 cards right now, so not a huge lot, but it would still be a way for the blind to play this particular game on WIndows and maybe mac.

You don't have to spam arrow keys when you jump in the gate. Just hold while in the air and you'll be good to go. jumping gets you further and faster than walking, and it's the best way to avoid the gray lady's move. I've beaten her in normal and hard difficulty without losing a life several times. Can record my demenstration if any of you want
