So if something is False it will trigger when I is greater than or equal to 5, and if something is True, it won't matter because the purpose of the if statement is to make something true anyway, which makes checking if something is true or false pointless. Now, if you put an OR statement between the checks, then whenever something is False it would set it to True, making the I is greater than or equal to 5 statement irrelevant. The second statement skips all this by just checking if I is greater than or equal to 5, which sets something to True whether it is already or not, which ultimately doesn't matter. You can either work together or tell your ideas and ask if the project can be transferred, better asked if that project hasn’t received an update in a long time. Or, if it can be done, create a program that is like an add-on. A curiosity question So, up till now I have been making if statements that would change a boolean if the boolean has not been already set to that state. For example: something=False for i in range(10): if i>=5 and not something: something=True This would trigger only when something is False, consider this bit of code however: something=False for i in range(10): if i>=5: something=True would the loop effectively set something equal to true every time I is greater than five even though something may equal true already? Or does a check internally if the variable is already set to that value? For screen curtain, turn it off by tapping 3 times with 3 fingures, and then restart voiceover. It'll stay off from now on, unless you turn it on. strange problem in reaper I've just started using reaper, and I noticed something. A small problem with my iPhone Hi.I recently got an iPhone 10 xs max. I've gotten used to having no home button and things like that, I just had a couple of questions. First when VoiceOver is on screen curtain automatically comes on so nobody can see my screen, how do I turn this off? I asked siri to do it but she was no help. Then what is the gesture to turn VoiceOver on and off? It's a time consuming process to go through settings and all that. The raking in of points gets easier as soon as you take over various cities. Your sessions per day become longer as well to be honest But my experience is that the tribes on the dutch server at least, don't put to much pressure on a player, as long as they're still growing. The character noob saibot I misheard it years ago, I thought his name was tool sidebox, and Baraka I thought was maraca. I think the reason I misheard was because of the terrible sound quality on the n64, probably because it comes out of just the one speaker.I wondered, has anybody else noticed the mk3, UMK3, mkt, and mk4, that all the men characters are voiced by one guy, with a few exceptions, and all the women are voiced by one woman accept for sheeva? I picked up on that when I first played the games in the 90s, I'd be interested to know if anybody else noticed this. If you don't believe me, pull one of the games up on youtube and listen carefully, you can't tell the difference between the characters unless you can see them, they all sound the same. With as few audio games as we have in the first place, and all these very similar games coming out in such a short span of time, we have a very different dynamic to the mainstream, so comparing the two makes little sense in most cases.This community is a microcosm, and so unoriginality is allot more noticeable and harmful than usual unless something is really being improved upon.Basically, we can't afford to be as lazy here if we want to keep things fresh and to keep the audio game's scene healthy, no matter how harmless our original intentions might have been, and I'm not seeing nearly enough actual changes/improvements in most of these recent games to justify their existence.Maybe someday this game can be something, but it kind of boggles my mind that we apparently still have not learned our lesson about releasing concept/alpha games to the public at large. That's just bad project management period, and if you ever want to become more professional you'll really need to improve your common sense and tamp down on the impulsiveness.Not picking on you specifically either Charley, that's allot of younger devs, and it's annoying how so little of the advice we try to give about this kind of thing seems to sink in.I think some people are just happy to see anything new, and it's not such a crime to be easily pleased, but when it becomes quantity over quality and we allow this culture of low effort, we could be moving forward instead of just spinning our tires in the same place, it's bad for all of us long term even if it's no big deal in the short term.
