Pretty much all the zombie sounds in Sixth sense are top notch and creep me the hell out, especially when you've just died and they still get real close and surround  you for a bit.  Worst would be that creepy running fast breathing guy, the slowly crawling sliding one, and the giants with chainsaws.For the longest time I was terrified of falling in fans on Super Liam, until I figured out it was just an apple being sliced up and then I thoguht it was pretty neat.  Same goes for dieing tof ire because of the scream he made...  I'd take tiny, careful steps to avoid it.Falling in the sewer wasn't great either, because it was so sudden and loud, but not as loud as falling suddenly into a pit by accident on a quiet cave level in Q9.The death welcomes you message in monkey business used to kinda freak me out as well, particularly if you fell in the acid.

I did what I promised myself I would never do. And I regret breaking that promise. So I downloaded the app. First thing I hate, not being able to use your screen reader for the game, of course. Thank you very much, blindfold games. But fine, I can deal with it. So I start up a game, I know all the gestures. And here's what I get. Lag. Lag. Lag. Lag. Times 10 to the power of 82 million. There is so much lag, that it takes about 15 seconds to recognize an action, and by that time, I have already done 3 more. For example, I play wild, then swipe left with 2 fingers to see my hand. By the time I could see my hand, I would have gotten impatient and just chosen a color. And what is the point of uno if saying uno takes 15 extra seconds? And every time I play my card, about 10 seconds later, all of the other people's cards come flooding in at once. This is a disaster! My horrible experience was on an iPhone xs max. Anyone else got this same horrible lag?

I don't have the direct download links, but all you have to do is download Virtual Midi Synth, but don't install it yet. First, download a sound font and decompress it with SFPack or SF2. After that, install Virtual Midi Synth. It will open a type of configuration program. Choose add, then select the sound font that you decompressed. Restart your computer, then you should be able to lower the music. In the game, press control alt M when a midi file is playing. Then, hold down the down arrow until the music is at it's lowest volume. Press alt F4, and it will be saved. I don't think you can turn it off, but you can make it almost so you can't hear it. Another option would be to delete all the midi files, then the music simpley won't play. Make sure you back them all up, though. Also, while The Blank Game 2 is under development, I made a completely translated version of The Blank Game 1 called Objectives so you Blank Game players wouldn't be so board. It's a different story with different people, but the game is pretty much the same. All I have left is translation of items. It was originally ment for my personal entertainment, but I might be able to remove all the personal stuff and post it here. And yes, it does have all the funny things from The Blank Game, including Trump. I also have to figure out how to lower some songs like I'm Outa Love, One Day In Your Life and Paid My Dues. Yes, those are real songs and they're in the game. If you wanna know how they sound, just look them up.

I do not have much experience to speak of this, but come on:My school where I was originally studying was created to serve blind people, then integrating people with vision.When I studied, I noticed a clear separation of people:The blind group and the rest of the school.Even with all the talk of inclusion and everything else, I noticed a lack of wanting to get people closer to me and the rest of the staff.I'm not the most social person out there. I have trouble talking to people, I admit, I was not very participative in class, and maybe that contributed to this separation.But most of the time people either did not want to do work groups for example, or they were forced by the teachers, or when they did, it was with a feeling of ill-will that I even noticed.Like I said, I feel like I have a bit of a blame here, but I guess what's missing is the information from people who see that we're capable, we can do things.Not everything, of course, but we are just like everyone else in the world.It was amazing how someone came to me and said,Diego, can I ask you a question? Thinking I did not want to interact or something.I can tell friends on the fingers that see that they treated me normally, and that makes me sad, you know, because, as I said, we have much to contribute, teach, help, in the end, to be normal people.It's really amazing how much technology has brought us together.Today, I can discuss a new series on Netflix that is going on at the same time as everyone else and understand it, thanks to audio description and subtitles.

It has happened that I refuse to play Q9 for 1 year due to being scared of the edge of the cliff.So one day I decided to give the game another chance and see if I could overcome this problem, and fortunately, I succeeded.I am very happy for this, since for me the game is one of the best achievements.

OK, I'm glad you found a permanent home for the final two artifact weapons , Given the difficulty of the quest I'd say they are needed. For any players out there I'd say the sharpening stone, or a heal potion are your two best chances.Regarding difficulty, as the one who suggested this I feel somewhat responsible, although, I was thinking about a static 1 life on each day of the path. for a total of 50 over the course of the game, not the 10% of your life total. I was thinking that dumping 4 elixirs into health should do the trick, but now when you hit 20 life on about turn 20 you have an extra 30 for the rest of the game for about 80 in total, and I haven't hit the 30 life mark I set as a goal yet, but 3 life per day seems pretty scary, best attempt so far is day 35, but I was at a life total of 20 on day 18 so had to contend with the extra 17 points of damage. Again, I wasn't thinking of this quest starting out with the two artifact weapons either, so it might balance out in the end. I'll just have to see how hard it is to make it through the last 15 days on the path. I'm pretty sure with the ring as it is I won't be asking for anything harder.

Also, there's something I forgot to mention that is with speed. Slowdown items are way way more affective than speedup ones. Like you can even go into negative confidence. I'd have no problem with this, accept with negative confidence, you can't jump over cannyons and pits. You'll just fall in.

HeySo I'm not here to start some flamewar which is what I usually do when there is a paid game. I agree with ivan's post, 81. But that's not the point.The reason why I think mason's getting this lashing is because he has another couple of paid games he hasn't updated in a while. I think that the majority of us are just afraid to make another payment for a game that's going to be updated a couple more times, and then dropped, or go out of updating season for a bit. I personally cant help wondering personally as well honestly.Mason, I don't wish you to feel attacked by this post which may seem the entention, I'm just posting this here to share what probably a few of us are thinking.Anyways enough of that.Thoughts on runner? Yeah. I love it. I love playing it and just dying in amusing ways. I do have a bug to report though.When you are on a huge cannyon, items can spawn inside it. Also there's a chance that you will get two huge cannyons in a row, but they intercept, making it impossible to know where one ends and other one begins, and the ropes don't have that hole 5 tile warning thing for some reason.Also suggestions.I do think that you should start with maybe a few blasters on easy, and like none on the harder difficulties. Just so a player can have it easier, considering that for me, blaster items are rare unless I get a good game. Also I do agree with one of the previous posts where it said something about how nothing happens until like 20 seconds, I think that stuff should probably start happening like at y 25? Idk.Either way I do enjoy playing it and will continue doing so.

But then you said paying gives you access to a difficulty level. ? Whether the game is worth $5, or the motives behind charging for the scoreboards, you can't say you're not making any other paid-only features and then make a paid-only difficulty level. It's like telling your boss you aren't going to take off any more days of work while you're on a 2 week vacation that you gave a 24 hour notice for. It looks irresponsible. If you didn't have the foresight to mention the vacation a few weeks in advance, which is standard, why should the boss think you'll remember that you said you wouldn't take any more days off later? Why should we think that this is the oly paid-only feature you're going to add?Also, you can ignore the people on here who are complaining about you charging for the game; they don't like paying for things no matter how cheap they are. You could have made the game $0.01 and they would have complained about it being paid; I'm serious. $5 doesn't seem like much, and if you combine it with a computer ID system you can make it really inconvenient for people to cheat the scoreboards as they'll have to pay another $5 for another key which I dont' think is too much to ask. If you wanted to show that you were really only charging for your game to fight cheating, you could convert the game registration fee into a scoreboard registration fee that would give you access to post on all current and future mason game scoreboards, and make the rest of the game free.

Without repeating what's been said, I tend to agree that a forum dedicated to such a cause wouldn't bode well for us. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink it. People either have the intrinsic desire to learn more about something or they don't. If they did want to know more about how blind people function and cared about our well-being beyond small talk to begin with, we wouldn't even need such a forum. Plus, you can't teach compassion and understanding.I think the discussion has been somewhat narrowed down to the idea that things will only get better(hopefully) naturally as time passes by. Racism is still a rampant issue in the states, but it wouldn't be right to ignore the progress that has been made since the 50's and 60's. The same is true for blind people; I wouldn't want to be alive as a blind person, or any person for that matter, at any other point in time other than the present. Even just the technology at our disposal and the paths it [can] lead in terms of education, employment, etc, outweigh the options blind people had back then. Our situation is obviously far from perfect, but it's at least somewhat better than it was before.Change only occurs when things act upon it, and in our case, those "things" are humans. The way things have been going in our world seems to indicate that people slowly turn to drinking the Kool Aid, it's just a matter of decades. Social evolution plays a vital role in these types of things in my opinion, and this is what I ultimately think about the situation, though I don't take the "why bother?" approach, however I do Understand the reasoning for taking this position.Regarding the effort to make our situation better, it is because of how others in positions of power feel internally about blind people that we aren't granted opportunities to careers, transportation, and sometimes even places to live, though there are laws about service dogs. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "needless," unless you mean we're expected to put forth five times as much effort, and in that case, I would agree; but we're no different than some other groups. Before this becomes a game of who has it worse, our situation alone requires that we plan, prepare, and raise hell if necessary to get the things we want/need. Is it right? No, but this is the result of humans being humans. If they just would have the patience and understanding to help us in the appropriate ways, we'd be far better off. I apologize if I seem like that guy who rags on "the humans" so much, but this is what it really comes down to. The world can be a very cruel and unforgiving place, but it's precisely those who put forth the effort that things change. That isn't to discredit your feelings about any of this, Dark, because it's a rational emotional response to these circumstances. I just feel that we have no choice but to participate in society and take the heat to one day be liberated of these woes, albeit it will not happen overnight. Feel free to disagree with that, it's just my view.

I used to intensely dislike the sound of the snuffle hog in the original Papa Sangre when it attacked you. The way it rips you apart...just ugh. Didn't precisely scare me, though it's quite loud and overdone, so it's a bit of a jump scare.In Papa Sangre 2, the underwater level and the second house-fire level both apparently make me breathe faster. A previous partner I had said I sounded scared when playing those levels. Both tie into fears I already possess, such as drowning and fire (though I love to swim, so go figure).Other than that...not much really, at least not in audio games.In the Wheel of Time RPG, made almost twenty years ago, there's a level where you play in Shadar Logoth, and one of the elements of that environment is a deadly fog called Mashadar. This fog, in the game I mean, tends to hiss and whisper as it moves, and sometimes you can't see it or don't know where it is. The environment itself is otherwise fairly quiet unless you're being attacked, so both my sighted friend and I got creeped out by that.

I think it's still present on Windows today, you should be able to open the HTA file and play it, though it renders as a web page and you'll need to turn on forms mode in JAWS or focus mode in NVDA to interact with it. I searched for mshta.exe and found it in my System32 and SysWOW64 directories.

About 7 years ago I used to play Swamp quite extensively. I also have high blood pressure and back then I didn't take the meds for it. Not the wisest thing to do, but I was kind of afraid of the sideeffects, addiction or whatever. Yeah, of course you kind of depend on them, but what's better, take a pill every day or run the risk of a bloodvestle in your hed going kaboom.But back to the topic. I listen to quite a lot of stuff in my headphones and sometimes fall asleep with them still on. As it was also quite stressful time in my life back then, my bp probably got quite high. So when I woke up with my headphones on, I quite a lot of times heard my blood rushing in my ears. My heartbeat had quite the same tempo as the Zombies walking in Swamp and the closed back headphones I had also made the sound feel louder. Add in the fact that I was just waking up. So it was quite strange and creepy experience.

I just want to circle back to a point I made way back, in this thread and in others.Do the best you can in the ways that you can. If that means you have a small circle you run with, and they all get it, and life is better for you when you're interacting with them? Fine. If that means you're more able or willing to be a social advocate, and you want to take the struggle to the next level, so to speak, then hey, if that's your jam, go for it!No single person will change the world, and you don't have to. That's what I'm trying to get folks away from. It's very easy to get discouraged by the actions of one able-bodied person, or by a whole slew of them if you experience them back to back or can't separate experiences. But it's also important to remember the successes. It's important to remember that one failure to communicate does not, in and of itself, mean terminal failure. If I have someone grab my arm when attempting to cross a street on Monday, maybe on Tuesday I have a lovely conversation with a cab driver where I'm treated like any other human being. If I get horribly lost on Wednesday and feel silly because I have to ask for help, maybe on Thursday I help someone else because I know bus routes and I hear them struggling and am able to point them right. It's balance. And I'm not saying it's all even, because it sure as hell is -not even...but there is good here. There is progress being made, however halting. If you can't fight, then at least don't discourage others from fighting.

To find sounds, check out the stickied post in the developers room.Then you'll need a program that can convert WAV and MP3 files to ogg format.  I just use Audacity or Goldwave my self, but I'm sure you can find something more lightweight.Now, if your using SoundRTS 1.2 onward, E.G. (it has crazymod) then you'll need to go into mods\crazymod\ui and check style.txt to see which sound goes with what action.  The numbers your looking for should always be in the 77000 or 78000 range, so they are easy to spot, and you can hopefully use the find command to search for specific things though, a fare amount of it is in French.Everything in style.txt will correspond to a file in the sounds folder in the same directory, so you can always double check if your unsure.  Now you can just replace the sounds with your own.Though I do suggest making a backup of the original sounds so that you can easily replace them if something goes wrong, and keep in mind that for the action sounds, you'll need to cut the file to match the timing, or change the timing in rules.txt which can be found in mods\crazymod, though keep in mind that doing this will also change how the game plays.  Regardless, it may be a good idea to check the exact time in that file so that you can more easily cut your sound to that length.If your using a version of Sound RTS before V1.2, E.G. (without crazymod) then you'll find rules.txt in the main directory and style.txt and the sound files in the sounds directory.  But the files will have a much wider number range.
