reading music with a screen reader Hi. So, I'm now in college, and facing the challenge of reading sheet music. Problem is, I have no time to learn Braille music, nor the finances to purchase a Braille display. SO, is there a way to have my screen reader/s read sheet music out loud? I definitely understand not being able to put in that commitment, and never would blame you or anyone else for not having the time and / or energy, especially after 15 years. Temporarily or Permanently Transfering My Projects to Other People Hello.As people may or may not be aware, I have undertaken a lot of projects since I've made my account on this forum. I am now going into the workforce and trying to pursue a dream which I am hoping will be my livelihood. As it were, there are things in my life which I am trying to figure out and peace together. For this reason, I've decided to temporarily transfer some of my projects to other people until I am able to get to a point in my life where I am comfortable and have more time to take over once again. I'd like to state that as of right now this isn't a permanent handover, I still wish to have access to these projects if I ever choose to pick them back up. This isn't to say that I won't hand them over later, but for right now I'd still like to remain on standby. I would also love it if people keep me posted on the changes they're making every once in a while, but this isn't a requirement. I am going to start with some of my bigger projects.The Battle Zone Revival. I've always promised this was going to be done and I feel horrible for not delivering, so I wanted to invite people into our Dropbox folder to take over for a little while. I need to make sure I'm letting someone in who I can trust to take care of this project.The Blind Scammer Destroyer channel. I'm going to handle this one a bit differently. Rather than handing the project off to somebody else, I want to turn this into a hub of sorts. If you guys send me your scammer recordings, I'll upload them onto my channel. If you can, try to make sure you have a decent microphone, although this is not a requirement as I do make edits to the videos I upload. I also have to stress that not everything will make the cut. If I don't upload your video, please don't take it too personally. There are plenty of scammer videos of mine that I don't upload. Some of them because they're cringy, but there are others that are really good that I don't upload for various reasons. As I've stated, I am taking on a job so this could mean that I lost time to upload videos.My book projects. As some people may or may not know, I was working on a book based on the basic Last Crusade audio game story. This is the only book I posted publicly about, but I've had others as well. The two I can think about off the top of my head are the BK series books, and the Shotgunshell Chronicles. If I'm able to I'd love to transfer these projects over to Nyanchan and Dark because they're awesome story writers, and Nyanchan specifically because he came up with the BK series in the first place. I started work on The Last Crusade book, but the BK series and the Shotgunshell Chronicles were simply ideas that I thought of that never left my head. If the two people I mentioned can't or don't wish to take on these projects, however, I would still be happy to allow others to continue my work.Macintosh Attack game book. This game book was inspired by the Adventure at C: stage created by Chris. I am unsure if this project can be continued, simply because I'm unsure if Jack still has a copy of it. I'm starting and leaving projects because I am overambitious and genuinely want to make something which everyone enjoys and which I can call my own. something i have been wanting to say so. I know that this has probably been said before but i wanted to give it a shoti feel that it has been too long now and i feel its time for a changeits 2019. Some sighted people now have technically reached out to us and have made games accessible for us like mortal combat, sequence storm, and others. but i feel its time we reach out to them. I feel that some of us in this blind community need to get our act together and integrate with our sighted peers. I know, that this has been discussed many a time. And no, i am not just saying, boom there it is, the blind and sighted get along its magic, i am saying that we need to work for it and work hard. If we integrate with our sighted counterparts the stereotypes and barriers would come down and blind people would be understood. And possibly, software / games that were not accessible before would be accessible to us. The reason i am typing this is because i wan to see this community be its best and integrate with the sighted. We need to make a difference. If we don't do it, who else will. Ever since i entered this community. I have been talking to a lot of people at my school / around my city and a lot of people that i have spoke to understand me and possibly many of us. After a few laps around the ui of the beta I can confirm that the beta works without the use of ocr. You'll still need your NVDA mouse movement commands, namely nvda+shift+m to route the mouse pointer to the review cursor, and your left and right click ckeyboard commands, but the text is finally readable and navigable with standard web navigation commands. There are a lot of clickable elements, but the nice thing is that you can use your screen reader find command in here to find text just like you would in a standard web page. So, after how many years? the essential function of locating and managing your games works. The installation screen is still not accessible yet but whether or not the game adds a desktop shortcut during install doesn't matter quite as much, as you are now able to do that in an accessible manner after the game is installed. When I go to settings, and player ID, the game got stuck in an infinite loop where it said checking data over and over again, and I ended up actually having to restart my entire phone to fix it. The game still did take time and effort, so you aren't just going to arbitrarily get it for free when the dev is tired of updating it. That's not fair and you shouldn't expect it.For fun, I took the game for another spin just recently. Didn't find anything new, didn't really do anything new, except I found out that Junanchel is just not all that good. Nature Dance is brutal though (brutal in a good way). And while I still don't like Snowmonno's frailty in the Irroadium fight, it is very fast and hits very hard. Also learns Ice Tempest at a really high level, though by the time you get that move, you're probably committed to a physical set running Spirit Force, Frigid Touch, Aura Master and Snowball. I know I was. I keep forgetting how good (or not good) Mortrex is, stat-wise, but trading for it is a pain. Ditto Grizzlord, in particular. why not Lamgurk, you ask? Many phones in fact have very annoying vibrations, most of which you can decrease in the settings of your device to make it less sensitive. That being said, Apple's haptic engine is indeed awesome.
