Hello, I use OCR for GTAV and it works pretty well. However, I wanted to testACCESSIBLE NATIVE TRAINER to see what it looks like.could bring in more, but as soon as I copy the files in the GTAV folder, when Ilaunch the game,, ROCKSTAR GAMES LAUNCHER launches well, but after 5 seconds it sends me an error message and everything closes. Itried to delete the two scripts mentioned above and thesame thing still happens. What did I not do correctly?.. Thanks in advance.

Site updates March 8th

It's said that good things come in small packages, which is true. However, what happens if those packages are full of skunk dung, or bacteria, or fissioning atoms, or really really angry little hobbits, or Gremlins! never forget about the gremlins. though of course, you could get a large package and fill it full of skunk dung, or bacteria or fissioning atoms, or really angry hobbits or gremlins for that matter, and what's to stop you putting a lot of good things in a large package anyway! So, okay, good things come in small packages, accept when those small packages are full of bad things, in which case bad things come in small packages, which really makes reiterating the point that good things come in small packages sort of redundant really. Honestly! who actually thinks of these sayings? They should be put in a package (size does not matter), with a big label saying "do not open unless you want completely pointless sayings with no useful informational content whatsoever!"Anyway, the actual point I was trying to make here, is that here are this weeks updates, which are both a good thing and a small pakcage, though as we've establishedd, neither of those states is particularly unique.Updates by Dark: Fixed miner developer name mistake for getinthedamnbox, and for code 7.Eamon remastered, miner cleanup, including changing number of available adventures.Cleaned up entry for Sound rts, and some mistakes on the game genres description page.Cleaned up Entry for planet life, plus added miner reference to third chapter and the games’ ending.City inc: entry and description. Cleaned up entry for Hunter, added link to Bscfix program to all Bsc’s entries, plus a note that it doesn’t work correctly for Pipe 2.

I had to boot into fastboot first, do a fastboot format system and fastboot format -w to not get errors while installing the ROM and Google Apps. This is frustrating as hell! I get errors when I try installing talkback.zip using TWRP. Should I boot into recovery after installing Lineage OS and install Magisk, the Google Apps, and TalkBack from there? I wonder if this A/B partition shit is the problem? I downloaded the twrp.img file as well as the zip for the Pixel, but I'm not sure if it's booting into recovery properly. I can do fastboot boot twrp.img, but I don't know if it's installing correctly. I'm using Windows, is there something I'm doing wrong? If I can even make this work, can I update TalkBack from the Play Store? Why do I have to do this anyway? I know Lineage may not have the accessibility shortcut enabled, but why doesn't TalkBack appear under the list of Accessibility services normally?

Re: What languages do you want to learn?

I currently speak English, and I'm more than passingly acquainted with Spanish and French. A few months with either language and I'm confident I could speak it fluently enough to do more than just get by; I'm not truly multilingual - I usually don't think in these other languages - and to a native speaker, I'd probably sound either very formal or school-taught, but I wouldn't be stumbling all over myself. The languages I'd like to learn:1. Mandarin or Cantanese (not sure which). The reason: it's everywhere, and it would be nice to be able to speak a language that such a large part of the world speaks.2. Arabic: see answer 1.3. Japanese: this is just a language that I find fascinating for some reason4. Swedish: I routinely hear Swedish people speak English, and if they're well-practised at it, they have very little accent; this fascinates me5. Hindi (I believe this is another really popular one)In a lot of cases, it's just a fascination with language in general. In some, though, it's the ability to talk to more people in a language that's more comfortable for them. I wish I had time and the ability to use that time to learn all these languages, and many more besides. Alas, I don't.

Re: Making an accessible collectible card game

Well'' I play Magic The Gathering now and then using brailled card sleeves. I know people could probably recognize the type of card that is on top of my library, but I keep my library in the box I keep my deck in. This way, it keeps them from falling all over due to the added hight and stuff, and people have to look over the small edge between the top of the box and the top card. I also don't touch the top card when I am not drawing, to reassure people, that I am not cheating. As for wearing out, not really a problem. I mean, sure, they get a bit worn out after a while, but if it is sleeves with a decent quality, it shouldn't be a problem. As for space on the card, I just write the name of the card, what type it is, with a selfmade code, and then mana cost also with code. And then power and toughness if it is a creature. Then I use an online database called Scryfall to look up abilities. One thing you have to be aware of, is to always buy the same sleeves. With brailled sleeves, you can't just put them in a different sleeve if you want cards in different decks, so all your cards must be the same colour and sleeve type.My methode has worked great for me, but I understand it wouldn't be good in all cases. I only play with friends or if not, then in cassual and relaxed environments, so people usually don't take it super seriously and mostly just want to play some fun games. Therefore I trust them not to take too much advantage, and they trust me to do the same. It would however, be a rather bad idea to show up in competitions with brailled sleeves, I don't even think it is allowed even though you can't see your braille markings yourself.

Re: Making an accessible collectible card game

An interesting challenge, given a cards size and the types of games played with them.  Braille when stacked with cards could potentially wear out if your stacking or shuffling them, which doesn't get into the possibility you might be able to tell an upcoming card as you feel the deck either, heh. I can think of a few ways that might work, the exception being you'd need a smart phone. The first is [QR Codes], there are a number of free sites around where you can print out a QR code that links to a URL when you take a picture of it. So you could create a URL that links to a particular description of a card and print it out and stick it on a sleeve or the card itself. This way if you get a card you just take a picture of the QR code, nobody can tell what the QR code means, or you could have it on the inside incase they remember the pattern. The other option that i've seen demo's of is [NFC tags], or Near Field Communications, a cousin of sorts of RFID tags. These can come as stickers or buttons that you can put on things, and you can read them with your phone. The difference is that they are much more straight forward for labeling, and can easily be renamed as well. So you can plant one of these stickers on a sleeve or the card itself and label it, and read it with your phone to get a description of it.Another possible low-tech approach could be [scratch and sniff stickers], while not descriptive, you could try associating particular cards with particular smells.

Anyway, I've been listening to their soundtracks in the background, and notice that certain utubers use the same music. I was wondering where do they get their music? I'm specifically looking for soundtracks that Reallifelore, The Armchair Historian, Mouseur Z, CBR/Thebinger/and this other channel who is also connected, but I can't remember their name right now, o  Half as interesting/Wendover productions, Tflcar/TFLtruck/tflnow/TFLoffroad what sound do they use. I heard a sound from the Arm chair historian, and I really love it.

Re: modifying registry with bgt

12 is right. You should never use ephemeral keys on data that isn't ephemeral. Cryptography isn't designed to be that way. If the key is lost, the data is irrecoverable. That is, of course, unless the algorithm is broken. But since this is AES-256 in CBC mode, I significantly doubt its breakable if the key is lost. End of story. It may be possible to extract keys from BGT code, but that in no way means that, if the key changes, we will be able to decrypt your data for you. Once data is encrypted it is bound to the key that encrypted it. Its not like a password for a website where you can just change it via a simple validation email by clicking the forgot password link and get access to the data again. To alter the key that data is secured with, you first need to decrypt all the data you'd like to alter the key for, generate the new key and re-encrypt all the data.

New audible book, assassins Creed, gold.

Hi guys. So, my friend and I were playing assassins Creed Odyssey today when this popped up. It is a full cast audio drama set in the assassins Creed universe. This is an audible exclusive. And get this, the protagonist is blind! Here is the official description. Sorry, I did not know where to post this.Assassin’s Creed: Gold is a stand-alone action tale from the Assassin's Creed universe.Meet Aliyah Kahn, a card shark and hustler who’s been dealt a rough hand in life. Living off of her street smarts and scams, Aliyah makes do until she’s outhustled big time by a mysterious older man, Gavin Banks. Her only option to pay the debt is to become an Assassin for Banks. During her training, he tells Aliyah of the centuries-old battle between the Assassins and Templars, asking her to help him decode a secret message inscribed on an illegal form of currency during the Great Recoinage of 1696. This exciting thriller features a full cast, including Emmy winner Riz Ahmed and Anthony Head.Featuring fan favorite characters of the beloved franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Gold tells a gripping tale of imminent economic collapse, featuring appearances from Warden of the Royal Mint, Isaac Newton, con artist and counterfeiter William Chaloner, blind assassin Omar Khaled, assassin trainer Rose Galloway, and Aliyah’s long-lost father. Equal parts adrenaline-fueled and thought-provoking, Assassin’s Creed: Gold draws a compelling parallel with the financial chaos of Isaac Newton’s 17th-century Britain and the economic uncertainty of recent times.Audible’s full-cast drama brings the clash of the Assassins and Templars to life as a gripping audio thriller with lead performances from Riz Ahmed (Emmy winner, Golden Globe nominee, The Night Of, Rogue One, Four Lions), Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Merlin, Little Britain), Danny Wallace (BAFTA Games Award winner, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Assassin’s Creed III), and Tamara Lawrance (Corvidae, On Chesil Beach). The Audible Original also features the talents of Laura Aikman, Rachel Atkins, Brian Bowles, Andrew Branch, John Chancer, Lily Donovan, Rupert Fairley, Ray Fearon, Owen Findlay, Jason Forbes, Nicholas Goh, David John, Jim Johnson, Will Kelly, John Last, Gemma Lawrence, Nicholas le Prevost, Simon Lipson, Hayward Morse, Paul Panting, Laila Payne, Nigel Pilkington, Joseph Radcliffe, David Rintoul, Anne Rosenfeld, Jennifer Saayeng, Gyuri Sarossy, and Daniel Weyman. Please note: This title contains explicit language.I'm listening to Assassin's Creed: Gold by Anthony Del Col, narrated by Riz Ahmed, John Chancer, Ray Fearon, Anthony Head, Tamara Lawrance, Gemma Lawrence, Danny Wallace on my Audible app. Try Audible and get it here: https://www.audible.com/pd?asin=B081HFM … 0511160006

I've considered braille, but my experience with attempting to braille magic cards is that there isn't enough space to put such information, not to mension keeping the  braille from leaving any marks on the back. Any recommendations? Also, sorry if this is in the wrong room.

Re: Installing Lineage OS on my first generation Google Pixel

Hi, to set up lineage or any custom rom without sited assistance, you need several files:fastboot and adb available from the android sdkIf installing on the scurge of the earth, aka windows, fastboot and adb driversa build of TWRP for your devicethe zip of the rom you're going to flashthe zip installer of the magisk root and systemless interface, available from:https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/rel … -v20.3.zipmy talkback installer magisk module, available from:https://nashcentral.duckdns.org/projects/talkback.zipafter you download everything, enable usb debugging on your current rom, make sure that you select always allow from this computer in the authorization dialog, may be important later, connect your phone to the computer, and run:adb reboot bootloaderOnce your phone reconnects, it will be in bootloader mode. If you've never installed a custom recovery before, your device's bootloader will be in the locked state. To unlock the bootloader, run:fastboot oem unlockDepending on your device, a visual prompt with no audible confirmation will be displayed, asking if you're sure you want to unlock the bootloader, it'll void your warranty, etc. To get past this screen and confirm the unlock, for most devices, press and release volume up, and press power. If you did it correctly, you will get a prompt from fastboot that says erasing userdata done. Once you get kicked back to the prompt, type the following for devices without a/b partitioning, i.e. devices that do not need to restart into recovery to install OTAS:fastboot flash recovery /path/to/twrp.imgOnce the command completes, most devices require you to select boot recovery in the bootloader menu. If you reboot, the stock rom will replace your brand spanking new twrp with the ramdisk copy of the stock recovery, how rude! For most devices, to select boot recovery, hit volume up twice and power to select. For a/b devices, the situation is more complicated. A/b devices require downloading two twrp files, one image file and another twrp installer zip. Once you have those files and an unlocked bootloader, run:fastboot boot /path/to/twrp.imgAfter a few seconds, you can run:adb shellif you get a ~# prompt, congratulations, you are now in twrp! Regardless of how you get to twrp, the next step is to get all of those zips on your phone. Thanks to adb's push command, moving those files is as easy as kicking ass and chewing bubblegum, when you're all out of gum! Duke Nukem reference asside, to save yourself a huge amount of typing later, if you have an a/b device, push the twrp installer first by doingadb push /path/to/twrp.zip /sdcard/twrp.zipNext, install that file, you need to put a full path, since twrp's installation logic is a bit wierd:adb shell twrp install /sdcard/twrp.zipIf it finished, your ramdisk is patched, so as long as you install your rom before the next reboot, you're as good as gravy. Now let's get that rom installed, same as beforeadb push /path/to/rom.zip /sdcard/rom.zipadb shell twrp install /sdcard/rom.zipWith our rom installed, let's get dangerous, I mean let's get rooted. Time to install magisk, if it fails with some obscure error, reboot into recovery so the rom's kernel is active by running:adb reboot recoveryadb push /path/to/magisk.zip /sdcard/magisk.zipadb install /sdcard/magisk.zipIf you're as paranoyed as me, you probably want microg instead of google play services and you don't really need/want the play store, but let's assume you aren't, no matter how you want your rom, security focused or with a side of google, you can still get the same accessibility either way. If you want the google apps, pick any package, lighter may be better, you're going to put the screen reader and a tts in in a bit, to install gapps, it's the same drill:adb push /path/to/gapps.zip /sdcard/gapps.ziptwrp install /sdcard/gapps.zipNow that we have our rooted rom with or without gapps, time to make this badboy accessible, ey? Install the talkback installer the same way as any other zip:adb push /path/to/talkback.zip /sdcard/talkback.zipadb shell twrp install /sdcard/talkback.zipThis installs both espeak and talkback into magisk's module directory, which, once android finishes booting, appears to be a part of /system. Since espeak does not support direct boot, if you set a screen lock that relies on the virtual keyboard, install GoogleTTS or any other tts that has this support after enabling the screen lock, or you will need to non surgically borrow eyeballs to unlock your phone every time you power it on. Finally, reboot your device:adb rebootOnce android comes up, use the accessibility shortcut which has been enabled by my module and talkback will start talking. If you just get earcons but no speech after waiting a few seconds, reboot your phone and you'll have speech.

Android users: which TTS voice do you use?

2020-03-07 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : stargate via Audiogames-reflector

Android users: which TTS voice do you use?

I'm curious about which text to speech voice you guys use. I'm trying to find one that I like. The Google voices aren't bad, but they sound sort of compact for lack of a better description. I'm not sure how to explain it, but if you know what the old compact voices on iOS sound like, I think you'll understand what I mean.

Re: modifying registry with bgt

12 is right. You should never use ephemeral keys on data that isn't ephemeral. Cryptography isn't designed to be that way. If the key is lost, the data is irrecoverable. And that's how it should be.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but these days if I try going back to typing on the reds it just feels weird. I love the sort of clickyness the blues provide, and just the over all feel of them.

@11You can do this at the cost of not being able to back up your save files. You can do this at the cost of never being able to change any of the hardware in the machine in case the hardware changes the ID.You can do this at the cost of not being able to reinstall Windows, which can also change the machine ID, depending which one it's using.Lots and lots of things can make things that do what you're describing decide that this is a new computer.  Since you chose to use the machine ID as the encryption key, there is no way to recover the data once that happens. Please don't do this.  This is a terrible idea that will make many people very sad.  In general, unless you have an online component, there's no reason to care about cheating anyway, but this particular idea will break your saves if anything happens to your computer that requires sending it out for repair, even if you copied them somewhere else first, or if you decide to upgrade hardware.

Re: Is there anywhere specific I can post MML chiptunes besides youtube?

OK so with MML, with this one, this is MML for nes, whitch is for the nintendo soundchips. 2a03, fds, 5b, MMC5, vrc6, vrc7, and N123. If I missed anymore, let me know. I'll show you an example, please read by character to know the sintax.#TITLE TestThe title of your song. used when looking in an NSF player.#COMPOSER juanThe person who composed this song. Used when looking in an NSF player.#programer juanThe person who wrote the song in MML for the nes. used when looking in NSF player. Note. Programmer is written like that on diffault, that's how it is in the compiler. So remember, it's programer, not programmer. A the first soundchip, 2a03. t130t meens tempo, try playing with it and see what you like. A good one to start with is 120.AThe first channal of 2a03 soundchip. 2a03 has five channals, two pulcewaves, a noise, a DPCM, and a triangle.v15 v is the volume command, we are setting this for the pulcewaves, so it could either be 0 or 15.o4 o is the octiv of the song, and 4 is the starting pitch of the song that will be used. I learnt MML with out having music skils. @1 calls the pulcewave sound to use. I'll let you play around with it to figure it out for your self.l4 l is the length of the note. in this cace, it is four.now here i'll start writing notes, and i'll try to help as much as I can.cdefgsynce you can't write with an hear your feadback like that, these notes are written like this where c is the lower note, and g is the hier note. it's soposed be written like that, cdefg. Or if you won't use the diffault length, then you can spesify a note length here. like this. c8d6e5f7g4So lets go over what we just whent through. So your code should look like this.#TITLE Test#COMPOSER juan#programer juanA t130A v15 o4 @1 l4 c8d8e8f8g8Hope you got something, and glad I could help!

Re: Aaron's classic audiogame reviews

Interesting Aaron. I came to Tarzan Junior two years later in 2006. Due to having to redo one of my masters assignments, I couldn't start my Phd for about six months. So that left me basically living in college with not much to do other than watch dvds (I bought all of startrek tng and Deep space 9 at that point, not to mention Babylon 5), reading, and of course checking out audiogames. After  trying titles that interested me like Shades of doom and Galaxy ranger, and then being surprised how much fun some of the less interesting sounding titles like Blast chamber and Esp pinball were, I decided to play my way through the then entire audiogame database and see what these sound games had to offer.I actually tried Tarzan Junior comparatively early in this process, and I confess, whilst I enjoyed the sounds and atmosphere of the game, the first few levels didn't really impress me enough with the idea that the game should be worth paying for, since as you said, the challenge was rather boppit like. I did enjoy knocking those monkeys off in stage 3 swinging on the vines, it sort of reminded me of Donkey Kong country on the Snes, and I liked how the old demo cut out just after you run into the alpha monkey (talk about a cliff hanger), however I thought if basically the game was a matter of walk forward and hit things or sterreo target, despite the good sounds I don't think there would be enough to interest me in buying the game. Then however, I found an audio demonstration of the game (perhaps the one you mention with Sean randle), and i really liked the sound of some of those later stages, especially Torgon battle and the hunt in the mountain, which sounded much more fun to me as an audiogame. I also redownloaded and installed the demo and tried on insane, and suddenly Smack! there was challenge hitting me right off! so, at about five in the morning I bought the game. I finished easy mode I think about the second ay, but later modes took me a bit more time. i still think the sounds and music here are absolutely awesome, especially all the voice acting (the torgon who trots along going la la la la la la la la la, always make me laugh, especially when you kill him), the problem I always found is that only the last four stages of the game really  as if they belong together or have enough features. Again, the first few stages have good sound and are fun to play, but there isn't a lot other than walk along and hit arrows at the right time, not like finding your way or reloading the torgon gun, and the queen bee battle, nasty though the sounds are, is essentially a one switch game. I was also always a bit disappointed that I rarely saw the catch the coconuts minigame, and usually just got the number simon with the synth voice, - oh and I didn't even know the sling shot actually existed until I'd already completed the game several times .All in all, Tarzan Junior is great fun, indeed I installed it again and played it through, and it's still hilarious, however in a few aspects it does strike me as a collection of ideas vaguely stuck together to form a game, rather than a coherent game planned from the beginning, and some of those ideas are better than others. Still it's always worth a play, and I hope people that haven't tried it before will give it a try. Oh, and btw, to all of those who talk with doom and gloom about "these kids making games," it's also a point that Philip Bennifall came up with something of this quality at the age of fourteen!Lastly, as a couple of nitpicky points, yee gods the game over sequence on tiger fight is down right grusome, oh and btw, if Tarzan could just grab the bombs from the insane blaster, why did he not do that earlier? Indeed if there were these apparently easily defeatable torgons wandering around with high explosive, why bothr with the gun of power in the first place? Though I will say, the Torgons as enemies are sort of fantastic, more games should feature evil psychotic killer gorillas carrying high tech armourments as enemies, especially when they sound this freaky >

Hi,@ number 405, thanks for the post. I’m really pleased  you are excited about the project, I’ll also pass your comments on to our sound designer and let him know how much you enjoyed the sounds/music in the videos. I agree with you that good sounds really do impact the quality of audio games and their videos, we’re really lucky to have a professional sound designer in the Ebon Sky Studios team.Paul lemmEbon Sky Studiosemail: i...@ebonskystudios.comFacebook: https://m.facebook.com/ebonskystudios/Twitter: @ebonskystudios

Re: your first and current phone

Hi.My first phone back in 2011 was an iPhone 4 with 16 gigs of storage space. Originally my parents wanted me to get a Nokia phone, but I convinced them otherwise.after the 4 I upgraded to a 4S, then a 6, one year later a 6S and now I have an 8 plus.I had some phones for testing purposes as well over the last few years, an HTC 1m7, galaxy s6 and s7 as an example.Greetings Moritz.

Re: Serius pacmate nistalgia going on right now

Okay, not trying to commit topic nechromancy  but this was what came up when  I searched for pac mate related stuff in google. I wanted a pac mate when I was younger, for the simple reason that it was un modified windows  CE, and the only note takers I had used at the time were BrailleNote Classic, mPower, and apex. I never got a pac mate because the school for the blind I went to never bought them. So, I was browsing eBay, and foumd one that was only 50 bucks, and the list claimed it worked and free shipping and returns, so I bought it. So, now 15 years later I get to experience a pac mate, can anyone possibly make me a zip file with some software that I can install on it and play with?
