I shouldn't even reply to such topics, but since I am here...@4, I know about the lucid dreamming technique, since That's what I use when I have nightmares, it always workes for me.But I think you are exagerating with it, just abit, maybe? For example, how can those people be with you in the dream or whatever since it's a dream and it's all happening inside your head? How can they feel piece when they pray with you since, again, they are in your head? and lastly, how can you say you can't die in the dream? than what is that eye of calmness and quietness just before you awake because they caught you or what ever and killed you? and why shouldn't you retaliate since they are trying to kill you, the dream is in your head and in there, only what you want to happen will do so, no matter the consequences.Nowadays, I mostly dream about a project hundreds of lines long disappearing because of a hardware failure, my computer exploding in my hands while not being able to move to get it to a computer maintenance office, or the same dream but I am playing a game and the battery is almost empty and I, again, can't move so its shutting down and the data is lost, etc.but how I do lucid dreamming is remembering that this is a dream, my harddrive, in reality always has triple copies just in case, I will always have the possibility to charge the computer, or, at the very least, money to buy a new one, or in the case of monster based nightmares, realising that nothing in there is actually real. Then, I kind of enter in a controll room where I can do whatever I want. From there, I choose to awake everytime I feel like my controll of that particular dream is slippery, or choose to destroy all my enemies there and leave that place only when it's ashes otherwise.What do you think about that?@1, basically the key is realising, while dreamming, that what you are actually experiencing is nothing more then vailed illusion, spawned by your own brain to try to rest controll away from you.I understand that dreams is the way for brains of marveling at problems even when sleeping, but you must continuously, when you are having them, teach your brain that nightmares are nothing productive untill you'll stop having them. At least that worked for me.

@Brad, if your using vo, you can close videos with a scrub, if your using the in game voice, just swipe downwards. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues which are going to make some missions very difficult, if not impossible. I tried building a robotic centre again, and the requirements for drones and fusion engines are just not shown, which makes them pretty impossible to produce, particularly since I think you need to have multiple factories sending in multiple items at a time, and with the connectivity issues, it's hard enough at the moment to get one factory accepting all three resource types, indeed for some reason on my last mission, even though the factory was slap bang next to the gas warehouse, I couldn't get it to accept any gas at all, quite aside from the fact that that once again, I only got two boosts from the community park and the lake, meaning I had to use upgrade kits to get enough colonists and enough food to feed them. The trade port is currently justabout doable without resource labels, but  with the robotic centre I'm not sure.On the plus side I'm now level 15, and am on sector six.

with a bit of playing about earlier I found that the sf4 and mk9 configs work if you launch the game first then alt tab out and then run the config and alt tab back in.

@6: you are not the only one, I am too, for several years now.really now, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, can we cut it in half by making something like Unreal engine usable? Won't it be quicker and better for us this way? just a suggestion, but I needed to say it nevertheless, don't know why yet, though.Well, maybe because I failed to complete such an ammbicious project my self not so much time ago. The new bgt made using .net, anyone?@1: my only advice for you right now is not to try and reinvent the wheel because it has been reinvented two many times already and it will break if we don't stop sooner or later, so add to other engines and customise them, be original, that's the key.for example, to create a game engine that has basically what you said, the .net framework has almost everything built-in, including networking and such. So what I'd do is modify an existing engine/framework like monogame, remove what I don't want like grafics and such, snap in what I'd need like custom wrappers for the networking API exposed by .net and other things. If you reached this point already, basically you've developed a game engine by and, maybe not, for your self. Note: I really simplified it down abit two much, be aware that this process could take a month as well, so just take this into account whenever you want to build it.To be really honest, I don't recommend you to use c++ either, not because I hate it, but because it's not so productive as to let you finish it in this lifetime, in my opinion. I will never willingly use c++ for anything bigger than a tiny and easily manageable application, but if I must, I will, it's not as if I'm a total stranger to it, not an expert by any means either, but I think I know just enough to keep me far away from it. lol.if this is your first project, please, for both mine and god's sakes, postpone it untill you've had a solid four years since beginner level before attempting it again. and just a curiosity, how much programming experience do you have?

As long as I lucid dream meaning that I'm in control of myself during dreaming, I always counsel those who are in the dreamscape with me and those who are controlling my experience. What you must understand is that they are just as frightened as you are and some are even more afraid because unlike us who can wake up from the nightmares and by doing so, take oneself out of the nightmare realms, those who are in there with you cannot wake up because they are already awake. Not only do I counsel and comfort them, I give them the star prayers, and play the the feeling easy seminar so that they can also pray the star prayers with me or on their own and the feeling easy seminar will give them the information that will help uplift them. They will know of the morning and evening star as that is the symbol of safety and salvation. I meditate on it at least thrice daily and I encourage those who give me nightmares to do the same. It worked for me and I no longer dread the nightly terrors that used to visit me far too often before I embraced the path of peace. Depending on whether or not you believe it to work, it will work to a lesser or grater degree. Admittedly, I started off with the willingness to try it and the belief for me became a knowing and for me, it works perfectly. I don't expect to be saved from the nightly terrors, I expect to assist those who give me the nightly terrors to desist and to uplift them so that they can go to the light and no longer feel the negative emotions like fear, anger, hate etc.I hope this has been of some assistance to you. What I propose may seem strange to you because I'm not trying to fight them or drive them away but counsel them so that they can be happy and free from bondage forever more but if you try it with an open mind then you may find that you benefit from this as well. If it does not work for you then at least it will not have hurt you. I must warn you however that you may still feel them do unto you but the effects of them interfering with you will lessen over time. This is not a quick fix but a long term one and there is no set time as to when they will stop attacking you. Just be sure not to retaliate against them as you cannot die in the dreamscape.Kind regards, Amin Abdullah.

@11: how did you do that?@everyone else: yes, the spamming is anoying beyond measure, especially in games like undead assault where, for example, you fight zombies with all your meit as to not get killed and not lose reputation etc, and suddanly, your eloquence(eSpeak rarely these days), is spewing random characters or outright crashes, and, because of the time it takes for nvda to restart, you died killed by zombies and no one is near to revive you so you have to wait untill someone gets the chance to be near you to do it, while you are absolutely out of control with energy, wanting to battle more zombies. Do you know the sentiment?but not all spam is necessarly bad and anoying, of course when doing it multiple times in a row they can become so, but generally not. Some of them are quite funny, for example that balls thing... lol.

@3, I wached your video, it worked for me quite good, I learned of some settings I didn't even know existed.I have a couple of questions of my own, though.1. How can I add an intro to the video, for example? what about background music? is multiple scenes and sources the solution here?2. Say I want to play manamon, for example. How can I capture it as a video resource like what you demonstrated, even if the window is not yet open, just saying to obs that I want that source to be visible/capture the window/whatever only when the process with that filename starts?3. You said that, if you're using a screen/window capture as a resource, if the window is not focused, the screen goes black. Can it show, for example, a background image or whatever untill the window is focused again instead of just going black?4: if I want my desktop sounds to be herd in case of gaming or whatever, but I don't want/need nvda in that particular situation, what can I do to stop nvda from speaking in the video while still be able to listen to it in my headphones to be able to know what I'm doing?5. I am shure you know that, in some videos, people go through, for example, both a game and a browser and who knows what else and they still manage to get them all to be showed on the screen exactly at the right time and the right place? how do they do that, only multiple sources come to mind now. This approach still has problems, though, for example the youtubers don't exactly know what they are going to show precisely ahead of time, there might be a need of showing a browser from time to time, you can't plan all that beforehand. Then, only complete screen sharing remains, though is it wise to make visible, perhaps unknowingly, personal data like the user name, desktop icons, notifications e.g. skype and who knows what else?That's all for now, no questions left to ask at the moment.btw, what voice did you use to record that video with? Sorry, this is my opinion, and everyone might be different.I have no problem with the web url address that is copied when we exit the game.Even if I'm honest, I like it.Because it always reminds me to check the latest updates after I finish playing this game.Besides some other games also do almost the same thing right?My suggestion to Cerulean, if indeed you will do something about this, you better add the option to choose whether to copy the url when it will come out, or not.And I will definitely choose to always copy the url, so I always remember to check your website and not miss the updates that might already be available.

@#71 Sorry for the delayed response. In future projects, I will consider adding an option to not be bothered with my web address every time. I can see how it can be annoying, but since this was my first release, I decided leaving it in might help create awareness about myself and what I do. And yes, I had to disable Sappi 5 from working on the latest versions because I could not figure out how to add a way to interupt speech, which would have left the user having to listen to every single line spoken from beginning to end. Jayde, I can tell by reading that you're completely new to all of this. So this post is going to be a crash course, but I'm going to try to keep everything relevant to your questions. I hope I won't overload you. If I do, please let me know .First thing's first; I looked at the fp7f manual, and I don't think it will help you, at least not directly. I'll relate it back to an example you'll know: a word processor.When you're in a word processor, you're using your computer keyboard to type in text. You're not storing a picture of the text, you're not storing a spoken recording of that text, you're just storing text. Similarly, the fp7f, and a lot of other digital instruments, use a similar principal. When you record a performance, you're pressing keys with various levels of hardness. The piano is simply storing that information as a musical text, if you will. You're not recording the actual sound, you're just inputting notes and various information about those notes such as how hard they were played etc.Virtually any digital musical instrument created in the past 30 years is using the midi standard to do this. Midi is literally everywhere, it's as standard as the qwerty keyboard layout is for typing. The reason I'm pointing this out is because if you send your ideas to someone to arrange, they may want midi files for the same reasons an editor of an article will want a document. It's easy to edit and is a direct representation of the material. I haven't worked with any arrangers myself, but if you ever do work with one, it's worth asking if they prefer audio or midi.The fp7f can, by the looks of it, create midi files. First you have to record a performance on the fp7f, then export a midi file. The fp7f does not, however, allow you to make audio recordings so far as I can tell. Some pianos and keyboards do, but many including the fp7f do not, so you'll have to capture the audio yourself with a mic, patch cable etc. To keep things on track, I'll just try to answer your questions about doing it with a mic, since for the proof-of-concept recordings you're after, that should be enough.Jayde wrote:I've been using my laptop, lid open, using Voice Recorder. Cheap laptops especially have a higher chance of having horrible microphones which pick up every noise of their cheap components.Any non-defective external microphone is likely going to sound much better. There are certainly exceptions of course, but even a cheap USB mic will clean things up a lot as they are often designed with more attention to audio fidelity, and because they use their own

wow. A nice game. How ever, i am facing one small problem. I don't get the eating right. When i try to center one of these humans and then press f it only roars but nothing happens. Also, when i break the fense to my right there is still an unbreakable fense upwards that just stops taking my attacks after a while.Also a small thing that is not really important but what i noticed. Some of the roars are panning sideways while they are playing. I don't know if that is soposed to happen, but if it is not there is a simple trick in audacity to get it to mono.

@3The main point of Numpy vs unoptimized C is that unoptimized C is actually usually optimized to hell and back by the compiler, in ways where you lose out if you try to do it yourself because humans are worse than compilers at optimizing now.But Numpy is 100% literal. No overview of what you're trying to do, etc.  So exactly what you write is exactly what you get.You might be able to get speed easily with numba, which does a bunch of black magic to optimize like a C compiler via translations of LLVM. If you can you literally just throw @numba.jit before entirely normal Python functions.  But you won't be able to distribute it to end users because it will rely on having a C compiler and stuff on the platform if I recall correctly.But in general for synthesis (and with the understanding that pure Python is slow if you try this) generating as you go is faster, save for potentially small-ish lookup tables.

The original C source isn't optimized and seems to generate it as it goes, writing directly to a wav file. For reference you can check out [arti1.c] and [hificode.c]. He seems to have updated the site since I picked up the source though, there seems to be an OpenCV Python port of the hificode [here] thats also not really optimized. License also seems to be CC Attribution 4.0, not LGPL Attribution, not sure if he changed that recently.Optimizing memory access and buffer handling is a good point, I don't generally use Cython but its probably something I should look more into. When working with C code I tended to be a lot more frugal with memory access, its something I should be paying more attention to but its not usually something I've had to care about with most applications. There's precious few examples of sonifier code around, and as far as i'm aware none of them have ever pushed this hard on rendering speed. The general theory is to try an envoke a kind of [Frame Rate Effect] as found in visual displays, wherein the sonified frames beyond a certain threshold blend together to create the illusion of a singular sound in motion, this may not necessarily be ideal for a static image, but could prove quite useful for animations or active environment navigation, especially with depthmaps. I was a bit concerned i'd messed up in the x/y dimensions with array generation when handling uneven image resolutions when porting the code, though maybe that had more to do with the different sized images being off and having a different sound profile to begin with and i'm just being paranoid, heh. In any event, thanks for the insight and feedback.

@Atlan - Unfortunately the Killer Instinct config is just proof of concept and only speaks the menus & provides clock warnings.@BlindJay - You may need to stop the config and re-run it because there's a bug that sometimes doesn't connect to the process in SoniFight v1.1.5. The Beneath a Steel Sky (BaSS) config does work, but it'll have the same issues as Day of the Tentacle in that it will only announce object / hotspots when you mouse over them, so unfortunately it's not a very successful example of a SoniFight config - but I didn't know what would work and what wouldn't when I was making it so I just went ahead and did it while hoping for the best.You CAN use a joypad with BaSS if you wanted to because it runs on ScummVM - to do so locate the beneath.ini file in the directory you installed BaSS and add the following line somewhere in the [scummvm] section:joystick_num=0You may also want to change fullscreen=true to fullscreen=false in the same section while you're there so it doesn't take up your entire screen. With the above joystick_num change you can move the mouse cursor using a joypad (on an xbox 360 controller the A button is "Look At" and the X button is "Use", but again, it doesn't jump between objects on screen - you're just moving the cursor with the joypad.

@9Easily.  Child porn: you just stick pictures in the HTML.  Instructions on how to build bombs: you just stick pictures in the HTML.  Instructions on how to make meth: same.  The images don't have to be separate files.  You can just use data: URLS to put it inline, or expand it with JS.But that's before we consider whether they hacked you.  Anyone who wants to do this stuff will just hack you.  Especially if you're still at the stage of not knowing how to only have PHP on some directories.  It won't even be that hard--there are a million circulating databases of "run all these scripts to hack someone, and we'll tell you what to do" sorts of things on the dark web, one  install of tor and a .onion site away.  You don't actually have to be overly knowledgeable to hack someone nowadays, just willing to go to internet places that only criminals go.You can't anonymously run your own server anymore, because at the end of the day you had to buy internet from someone.  SO, if you want anonymity, the gold standard is hack someone else now.  We don't keep the kind of records necessary to track the content anywhere else but the server that got hacked, so you just upload through a VPN or use the fact that you hacked the server to delete the logs of your upload or both, and you've got a nice little anonymous corner of the internet that you can put whatever illegal thing on.The problem isn't whether you get hacked.  If your blog gets hacked and turns into instructions on meth, you're probably okay because it was a blog, and when you show them the Wayback machine or whatever and they see that it's your blog, everyone will just go "yeah, he's not lying".  The problem is that when you become a hosting provider, "I swear I got hacked and didn't know that I was distributing illegal stuff for the last 2 months" really doesn't fly anymore.  It's true in your case, but all the evil drug lords who run hosting providers for their drug lord friends would say the exact same thing as you, and no part of the legal system would be able to tell the difference between you and crazy drug lord.  The bigger providers that actually do this have people whose job it is to look every day and make sure this isn't happening, and are behind LLCs and things to shield themselves from the legal ramifications if it did.being blind works in your favor, but basically: consider what it looks like if you're the teenager put in front of the court because you ran a high school hosting site that started distributing whatever-you-like.  It's not a good look.  It's sad that anyone has to think this way, but we do.  The legal system is ideally innocent until proven guilty etc etc etc, but even if you're proven innocent you're often still effectively punished for having been in the controversy with respect to things like employment.

In case someone submits an account based server, the person submitting this server would have to enter their contact info so people can actually contact them about asking for an account, and in case that person has bad intentions, that account can be banned anytime. Also, please note that even if I know some good TeamTalk servers (including yours, Ivan), I'll not add any of those until its creators officially submits it. Unfortunately, I've got no way of knowing if the real creator has submitted the server and not someone else, so that would be a little problem, but I think it's ok for you all.I'll try to join each server I list there to make sure the server is not down or it has not became account based without me knowing it so that I could update it on the site.Anyway, thank yall for your messages. You can do it, though the one solution I know of is far from seamless.If your server isn't equipped with a display (most linux VPSs aren't) you'll need to emulate one.XVFB does just that, providing a virtual frame buffer. hello. Blackspace it is audiogame in 3D fps format, created in science fiction. It is very similar to DOOM 1 and 2 for those of you who are familiar with the old games of Id Software '90s, but with a greater emphasis on intelligence than on the firing of running and shooting. Players will go through 10 levels, similar to the maze, and will meet all sorts of dirty creatures. The game uses HRTF, to give players a sense of the present three-dimensional environment using sound.
