Hi,All this negativity, sheesh. I just saw the email and intend to try the game myself. it might not be the next swamp for audiogaming or bk3, but I am sure it would give some period of enjoyment. As for the company not listening to feedback? I haven't tried blind quest myself because at first I thought the same some of their games have been far too easy or laggy at times, but for blind quest at least they took people's feedback and changed the combat system entirely. again, not the next entombed etc but good enough for a little tp. give credit where its due, and don't just bash a company just because you can.cheers.

Starship SN5 is likely to be the first fully assembled unit, and could be the first designated to perform high altitude launch tests after SN4's scheduled hop test. Starship SN4 has currently been fitted with a [custom built ballast] and [done another engine test] after a recent previous test accidentally caught part of the external assembly on fire. They've also recieved a full suborbital license from the FAA for test flights clear through to 2022, though Elon Musk has stated that the next Starship test flight won't happen before the Crew Demo-2 launch.

It's basically down to how many keys you want. Also I don't know why but the way you activate accessibility is different for the s series versus the a series. I don't know why they couldn't make it the same key combo for both but meh. Also the a series doesn't allow for navigation in organised manner. On the s series you can sort by vender and bank which you can't do on the a series. You can only navigate by product, type, character, etc, which if you have several libraries or you have a library that has several presets can be very slow to navigate around. So, yeah, there are a few differences with how it works, but the core idea is the same. Also, on the s series you have to use the joy stick to navigate through the product and preset page, unlike the a series where you turn the knobs to navigate, so that can be a little slow, especially if you have lots of libraries installed.

I can try to make a list, it would just take a long time. I don't mean moving Manamons between 1 and 2, I mean creating a team to play with after clearing the first stadium in 2. So what I would do is:make a team for the next game from a save that has the game complete.Clear the first stadium from a new game.Connect, then send a person the team I want to use.And finally, switch the save file to the one that has just the first stadium done and ask the person to send me back the team I had bread and equipped with whatever I want. The last time I tried this, both me and the other person were confused about what to do and I think we were in different time zones. I have a new team set up, but I doubt I'd be able to arrange a time to move it over to the new save unless someone was available. The best time for me is tomorrow after 2:00 PM, since I have work in the morning. Now that Windows Jen 1.4 has a "System backup and restore feature", I won't be losing my save file anymore so I'll only have to bother you guys this one time asking for times and connections.

@LemWhen it comes to features that I don't think could be done/done well in BGT, I bow to your knowledge of the language.  I am mostly going off of what others have suggested, and therefore my opinion isn't worth much on that subject.  I suppose that given this is a turn based, single player game, BgT is probably not going to slow you down much.I mostly worry about what the limitations would be if you were to add scripting support for the end user, something which allot of people are asking for.As for the way this is being launched, I see now that this is more of a proof of concept, but it seemed like it was further along than that by the way it was being talked about, the fact it has a name and logo, most features are in place, public testing is under way ETC.Obviously it's functional enough for the game you'll be making, but I guess from a user facing point of view it's not in it's final form.I suppose I'm just confused by the game plan here, it seems like the gun was jumped a bit (something which is allot do to the communities unrealistic expectations) and it's not like you can't walk that back to some degree, but experience tells me when the order of priorities is unclear the project often suffers.I guess what I really want to know most is this.  Will you be charging money for the BGT version of SABLE and then updating it at a later time?  Or are you going to only start charging when it's been rewritten.Regardless of my misgivings, I just want to thank you again for answering all the questions sent your way in such a thorough manner.  Many small businesses with several people who could be doing PR don't reach the level that you do as an individual, and that's extremely impressive for someone who is also the main developer!

Yes, I've seen it. It's closest competitor is the Orbit. It has decent Braille, and a basic internal mode. The display is behind the keys which may seem odd to some, and the command set is rather weird, but otherwise it seems fine.

Odd Occurrence with NVDA 2020.1

Hi Everyone,I enabled advanced settings in NVDA and customized them to my liking and pressed enter to save and close the dialogue, but when opening the advanced settings again, the advanced settings checkbox was unchecked. This constantly happens. Anyone know how I can go about fixing this?

@35I don't mind BSD/MIT either, I just don't want to be someone's dependency of a dependency.  Sometimes the trade-off with respect to that is worth it, but there is literally no source of high quality DSP code I can think of offhand that's not (L)GPL, and there's a lot of value (for myself and others) in being able to just yank bits out for other projects (like my hypothetical speech synthesizer).  If there were other worthwhile things to pull DSP code from I'd be a bit less strict on this but there's not: it's either cryptic in the extreme without comments, licensed under the (L)GPL, or slow because it's educational. Usually all 3 (you would think educational and cryptic without comments wouldn't happen. You would be wrong in this case).  My hypothetical networking solution will have BSD stuff in it if/when I get that far.Someone needs to take on the tooling required to let everyone put "This bla bla bla notice must be included in all substantial portions of the software" in the software without auditing the entire dependency graph, but somehow no one has, at least not outside the commercial space.For Ambisonics, look at Resonance.  They have an implementation in jS that is (mostly) fine.  Ambisonics actually turns out to be a big disappointment though because in the typical manifestation you don't get the interaural time difference.  A sighted person would never notice, but if you're listening to ambisonics demos and you're like "Huh, that's kind of low quality"--well, it is.  But I think you can get around it by just running 2 decoders and computing the ITD yourself.  Resonance also has some coefficients, but it's seemingly not possible to duplicate the process they used to build them without running afoul of a noncommercial use only HRTF dataset that Google somehow got permissions to use and I am not entirely clear on what the license of those coefficients are if separated from the library, so I've decided not to touch them with a 10 foot pole for now.

@Blind angel, It boils down to it being a virtualised environment within your machine that basically acts as a new Windows installation. You don't get the latency you get in other VM software and it's developed by Microsoft themselves. It's useful if you for example have a shady download or link that you wonna test in a safe environment without damaging your main machine. To get started, go to "Turn on or off Windows Features" and check Windows Sandbox. I also recommend checking Windows Hypervisor Platform  and Virtual Machine Platform if they're not already. You may be asked to restart your computer, go ahead and choose to restart now or later.Once your computer has restarted, type Sandbox in start and press enter. If everything's all good, you should hear your Windows unlock sound and be placed in the Windows Sandbox window. As Pitermach said earlier, not all key commands will be sent to the VM, so press CTRL+alt+pause to toggle this. From there you can start Narrator as usual and navigate that version of Windows. I believe you can just cut/copy and paste files and folders to and from both instances.Hopefully that should help in getting you up and running.Feel free to ask any more questions about this.

Can you trade between manamon1 and manamon2 for say... an aurastar or mortrex? You can have both sessions opened at the same time. This is how I was able to upload manamon from 1 to 2. It still took a little while, but certainly not as long as it was to close out manamon2, open 1, switch party manamon from storage, save, close 1, open 2, and upload.The hypers in Requia have been doable with 3 manamon and 3 low leveled manamon, but it's still tedius as heck. Having a list would just eliminate all the bordem work. Ah well.

Have to Agree! It's very fun to code and watch the result and the characters are cute. Obviously the learning content is great too though dragging and dropping lines doesn't work for me with VO as the app suggests it should. When doing so, my cursor just moves and I get the toolbar of editing actions.

@34, yeah, I know what you mean. And its unfortunate that no such ambisonic library exists that's unlicense-based or something equivalent to that. (I personally don't mind MIT or BSD licensed stuff myself, but I understand your stance.) I've never really been able to get a hold on ffmpeg/libav's API -- looking at code samples it just seems ridiculously overcomplicated, and the docs aren't exactly useful, last time I checked.

@33I'd rather not bring in something in Rust because I'm trying to keep this reasonably self-contained.  I'm also only including things that don't require credit in binary distributions (i.e. zlib, unlicense, etc. But not MIT, BSD, etc).What I have are the libs in third_party/dr_libs (I think, that path is off memory).  The approach is just to try decoding with all the implemented decoders and see what doesn't error,.  Their libs actually do properly detect format, but it's unfortunately a limited selection, and even more unfortunately stb_vorbis isn't by the same person and is...let's go with not ideal.A mime sniffer might be a worthwhile project for you to do, because I don't remember ever finding a good implementation of the HTML mime sniffing specification that isn't "and then we tore this chunk of code out of Chrome".  that said I didn't ever look hard, so don't take my word that this doesn't exist.  I don't think it's needed for Synthizer now and I'm not seeing a need for it in anything resembling the near-term future, but it might be whenever I add optional support for dynamically loading ffmpeg/libav depending on the interface of those libraries.In general my philosophy on this topic is: this is for games, if you are a game dev you can convert your files to wav/mp3/ogg/flac and probably already have them in one of those formats anyway, anything else for media loading is a nice to have save for eventually ambisonics way down the road when I have the time to play with machine learning libraries to try to generate ambisonic decoding coefficients (yes, really, it is *that* involved, the people who have them something something patent IP noncommercial use only legalese).

I agree, the first post needs to be axed. Also yeah, some things stated under the "moderation!" flag in a post is not always put into that topic, good thing its not being updated a hole lot as that would be bad. I think, with a forum with, let me see, how many registered users? 200358? ah, ok, so its small but some furms are much smaller. then, lets takes that amount of users, 200358, and then you have how many of those posts are made for individual people, not many sense a lot of them, not including the first post, are either finding and banning alts of other users, or multiple warnings/cautions or ban increasings for a user. So its not like the mods are going around finding random people out of 200358 and smacking them in the face with a hammer and saying oy, we're going ot put this here because we hate you. Things are done for reason, even if i don't agree with there reasioning, its a reason.

Are you asking for a list of what moves each Manamon learn when they level? If so, then their isn't a list and I don't plan on making one. Taking low level Manamon through the postgame hyper bosses seems to be the fastest way, but I've never beaten the game so I don't know if it is or not. If I want to beat the game, I'll have to find some way of restoring my computer since I recently reinstalled Windows and lost my current save file, which sucked, hard. I had a team traded from another file, and I am not, going to go through the process of waiting days for someone to join a room and have the 2 of us be confused about trades. It's too bad self trading no longer exists...

I've been really lovingPeet's Major Dickason's Blend. Its their dark roast and has a pretty nice flavor to it. I actually almost prefer it black, but a part of me still likes adding a bit of creamer to it. @32, I was actually considering that. A while back I had written a module in Rust that was a part of another project that I've since lost that used MIME types to decode audio files instead of extensions or manual file scanning. The code was quite complicated but it was really, really fun to write. I was wondering if it would be worth it if I rewrote that in Rust (or, hell, in C++, why not) and then directly incorporated that into Synthizer. It would be trivial to extend, too -- you just add a new MIME type and then a decoding function to call, and the decode function would return you a Vec. I'd need to rewrite it again though -- I lost the code, and it would take me a while to rewrite, but I could do it. Adding streaming support shouldn't be too hard, I think, though I've never written streaming functions. And adding custom MIME type handling also shouldn't be too hard either. The question is, would it be faster than what you already have? I suppose the only way to find out would be to try it. Of course, if I wrote it in rust you'd then have a dependency on another library.

@lemm, a suggestion for future development/your consideration.Id like to see abilities added in that are contingent on the character having a piece of gear/type of ability, stat point. For example, a monk might not be able to do physical damage to a ghost unless he has a special technique that he learned. A warrior might not be able to use the slash ability without wielding a sword/dagger. A mage might not be able to cast the volcanic eruption spell without 25 intelligence.Just something to consider.

I enjoy the darker stuff, but to the heavily aromatic medium strength, rather than blow your head off espresso, for all I enjoy Italian Lavasa. Guatemalan tends to be a favourite of mine, indeed Guatemalan Granada or rain forest are both fantastic if you can get them. Failing that, there is always the good old old brown java for something strong, and the bystander of a good Columbian. Also though, don't be afraid to experiment. I recently tried a fantastic indian blend called Tiger stripe, which was pretty nice for a medium, and had a fantastic aroma. Again, part of this will also depend upon your preferences. Jamaican blue mountain is the one with the reputation, but to be honest, I just find it a bit too mild for my liking. 'I'm also categorically not! a fan of the heavily acidic blends such as some of the Ethiopian blends, or maybe it's just that I drink mine black, straight up with no sugar (though perhaps a tot of rum occasionally). Okay I decided to take the plunge and buy the thing because, well less than five buck rogers' isn't a bad deal. actually, I rather like the game, albeit one thing I have noticed is when they say "easy", they mean it, the AI is comparatively forgiving, or at least you can mess up quite a bit. I've turned the difficulty up to medium and may be turning it higher. Another thing I'll mention which perhaps people have been unaware of, is that this game has full, complete and very usable graphics, plus a rather nice high contrast mode, indeed, from an atmospheric perspective I'll say it's nice to be able to see space literally whiz past me whilst I listen to some pretty rocking synth tunes . Oh, and I also like that the tracks look different too, as well as having different names.I can't speek for audiospeed, since whilst I had it on Ios, I never got the Ios controls to respond correctly for some reason, though I might give the pc version a try at some point if I enjoy space wave race enough. My only two miner points, is I wish there was a better way of telling when you have two asteroids on the track where the gap is, since usually I'm racing along in the middle, but am not sure whether the gap is left or right, and if I choose wrong I usually get hit. It'd be nice to have a gap indicator there. Also, I wish there was actually a point to the single race and endless modes. whilst the rank ups in space encounter do take a long time, they do mean that there is something progressive to work towards, even if just for the shear hell of it. it'd be nice to earn credits or something and be able to buy stuff, even if just for bling factor. Oh, and one rather odd thing, is it me, or does the little fanfare played when you win a race sound like the music from alien outback? .

Those are both midi files, so all you need to fix that is Cool Soft Vertual Midi Synth and a decent sound font. I have no idea. Maybe someone else does.Autoindentation is also helpful.  For Python this usually means that it indents for you after for, if, etc. but won't unindent (because if it did that automatically it'd have to be as smart as you are and then it could just code for you).  Notepad2 probably does at least something helpful, I've just never used it in anger so I don't know how to configure it.  It's possible, though, that it doesn't understand Python.

Practice makes perfect, but finding an editor which will keep the indentation of the previous line will be a significant help if you haven't.  Notepad++ has this setting, and when enabled you can tab to increase by the configured amount of spaces, shift+tab to decrease by the configured amount of spaces, and the rest of the time you just hit enter.  You don't need to manually enter it on every line, in other words, if that's what you're doing.

@31Not when the multithreaded code is the entire library and interacting with a bunch of inline aligned buffers whose sizes are determined by const generics that do computation at compile-time to work out said sizes.It's not that bad though.  Modern C++ can be done pretty safely, at least in the sense of memory safety.  Not as good as Rust and the skill level to do it is very high, but it's still doable.You might find the Synthizer code interesting and you might be one of the few people here who can actually read it as well.

Yeah, there are some with alternative endings. Perhaps they seem linear in nature is because many are a series of books, so certain details need to be consistent to continue the story in a cohesive manner. If a book you play had multiple endings and the author wanted to write a sequel to that book, they would have to write intros to account for every decission you have made in the previous book, otherwise, we wouldn't know which ending is actually cannon, so sometimes it's just easier to have things be consistent and give players a primary goal of staying alive till the end of an adventure, and a secondary goal of getting the highest score possible. So try approaching the delight games stuff with that in mind the next time you play, and put yourself in the shoes of your character, rather than try to be yourself. In this way, you are actually playing the roll of your character in the purest sence.

Cyber Assault is abandoned. The game is up, but there's no activity. I logged in a few days ago to check if anything has changed, but it's dead. There aren't any players and immortals around.It's sad. I think the game had great potential, and could have been far better than it was if it was updated regularly.I have to say that my time on CA was fun. Both the players and immortals were awesome.

@guitarman, I wouldn't say your choices don't matter, the  games books are more like standard fighting fantasy style gamebooks, which are more like rpgs with a specific path to finish the quest, than the Cog games with their extra endings etc.This might be why I've only played through a few of them, though I probably would enjoy more if I gave them a try.

I'm still on my s9 plus and it's fine, so you will probably be ok. Even been getting software updates to my phone. I think the s10 even has expandable storage. Voice assistant will likely be your default screen reader so anything else you'll have to get off the playstore or by other means. Operation as has been described will be extremely similar if not exactly the same. You dont need the latest phone if money is an issue. Something relatively recent will suffice.
