Caccio, I'm glad to hear you've gotten that Paypal craziness figured out.    I'm sure that wasn't fun.Multiplayer can indeed seem easier (at first) than single player, for a variety of reasons.  The main reasons are that other players are also killing them alongside you, and that the zombies themselves have more targets to go after.  When you are in single player, you are the only thing they have to focus on, but when online some of the zombies will be trying to eat other players and less are left over to be going after you specifically.The main maps average around 120,000 total tiles in size, so that works out to around 350 by 350 though the actual width and height are different from map to map.  There are 5 main maps and 3 sub maps which are all interconnected.  Once you get into missions, there are I think 7 or 8 more 
 maps dedicated to specific mission types.When you are ready to venture out into the next map, the south west corner of the map has a destroyed building.  A sewer tunnel is exposed and after walking into it you press Enter to head down into map 2.  Each map boosts the difficulty a bit, so level requirements have been placed on them, but I have a feeling you'll be leveling up at a good pace.  The reason for level requirements is to hopefully encourage players to spend enough time on each map that they get comfortable with its layout before moving on.  It is also meant to help keep brand new players from wandering onto maps that are too difficult for them at the moment.There are ways for players to harm and kill each other, but it is in specific situations.  The first way you're likely to encounter is a mission type called Last man Standing (LMS).  When someone leads that type of mission, anyone can go to their nearest Safe zone and
  add themselves to it.  The leader chooses to launch once he/she is satisfied with the number of participants and instantly everyone is transported into a small neighborhood map with only the most basic of equipment.  It is a slaughter at first, with zombies able to quickly pick off the weaker players trying to defend themselves with only pistols.  Grab loot, fight back, and probably find yourself a little spot where you can hold back the undead.  Once a certain number of minutes has passed, PVP (player vs player) is enabled and announces it to the survivors.  From this point forward, you have to worry about other humans in addition to the zombies.  The last human alive is declared the winner!The other way players experience PVP is when they have converted themselves into "hardcore" (HC) characters, and battle other HC players over forts.  Embarrassingly I can't remember the level requirement off-hand, but after reaching a cer
 tain level you can choose to convert yourself into a level 1 hardcore character.  You will lose all current progress and are then thrown into a much deadlier version of Swamp.  Loot only appears one third as often, you are unable to purchase any items from Safe zones (meaning you must find literally everything you need), and you must collect a resource called "food" to keep going.  As you run around, your food resource is slowly used up.  If at any time your food actually hits zero, your character is frozen in place like a car that is out of gas.  If you are lucky another HC player will choose to help you and give you some of theirs, or you'll be frozen in place fighting back zombies until you finally run out of ammo and are killed.To help HC players level up, each map has 1 or more locations called forts.  For normal players those are just little buildings that don't really do anything special, but if you are an HC player you

@ironcross32,Oddness; I'll have to be on the lookout for all of the other stuff you've described above as well given that I currently only have two friends on facebook anyway, which means I'm hardly getting much at this point in time.  For the time being though, this topic and indeed this subject perplexes me a bit, as it seems thus far I haven't encountered any accessibility problems.  Lag?  for sure!  Funky dialogues?  Definitely!  And will I be playing any of their games?  Probably not, but I thought you used it mostly like twitter and the like, and everyone I've talked to says definitely stick to the mobile side of things, but I like playing with difficulty, so I'll run around on the main page and see what there is to see if anything.

Wlomis: To clarify - there are two donation levels at $45. The first is an early-bird price for the collector's edition, and the second is the standard price of the game + special item pack + tactile print. So if you absolutely don't want the CDs of the game, and have no desire to get the game soundtrack, but do want the item pack, you can just pledge $45 and claim the reward at Level 6 "Adventurer." But like Aaron said, it can be a nice display piece, so if you do want to snag the item pack anyway, you may as well grab that early-bird collector's edition, if there are any left. Hope that cleared things up a bit...

can't remember what thread it was on here, but someone definitely mentioned launchbox being accessible. Having been looking for a frontend for a potential arcade cab build I was planning, I downloaded it, let it import my mame romset and configured my emulators of choice.  Importing and configuring went super smoothly, I even added a couple steam games just for the hell of it. The problem lys in browsing, NVDA reads nothing as you move through the games. It is moving between different games for sure, I can see the boxart for each game change on the screen. So my question, What did you launchbox users have to do to get  your screen readers to play nicely with launchbox?

That's a very good question.  Most players only use 1 or 2 characters, but may keep a third around to store equipment on.  Officially it's a cheap trick to store items on a "storage character", but I'm sure you've seen that same thing done in countless games.  I'm not a fool, haha, I know players do that on Swamp too.  There are no rules against doing it, so this may be something you'll find yourself doing in the future with one of your 5 character slots.The normal verses hardcore modes are the main reason for a person to have at least 2 characters they play.  Once you convert a character to HC, the game plays quite differently than when on normal.  Having one of each type lets you decide how you want to play that day.Oh, Swamp's patched together nature does mean there is a bit of a learning curve.  The game has many features and commands that are accessed by typing into the chat.  I
  apologize for that since chat commands are somewhat lazy in my opinion, haha.  One of the commands allows you to reset your stat points (which are earned through leveling up) once every 24 hours.  You also unlock another reset each time you level up, so at first you'll level up so quickly you won't need to be waiting for the 24 hour resets.  If memory serves me, the command is /Reset, though I'd recommend you ask other players in chat.When you tried chatting and had no response, it's possible players were too busy to reply or maybe no one was in the channel at the time.  Hopefully you have better luck with that next time, because players who chat and get to know each other in the game tend to have more fun.

I just use mushclient out of the box. There are other clients as well. With mushclient I use the pc to write what I am typing and jaws to read what is on the game.If you go to start your own story, then to make a game, you can +dig your grid and it will zone you. The zone works like its own master room where you can put your own code and stuff.People have been very friendly when logging in and I thank you for that!Now if you want a player templet I can zone a player char, you canput your code on it and I will set6 it parent_OK and you should be able to let others parent to your player char.My best,A

@Jack, if that is true, I am appauled! Then again, Fb can do whatever they want. It reminds me of Apple's "YOu'll take it and you'll like it or take a hike" attitude.I'm not sure what to think about this JAWS only thing for Facebook. If they use standard web accessibility guidelines, all well designed screen readers should be able to interact with the site just fine. I hope they aren't using JAWS scripts or some other nonsense. The less I say about JAWS the better. They've got competition from NVDA and Narrator. That's right! I said Narrator. I'm incredibly excited about the next version of Windows 10. I haven't been this excited about Windows since forever. I wonder how well Narrator works with Facebook?

Smugglings unbalanced, I wouldn't bother with it. The rewards are barely worth anything, and SDF members will always catch you, even if they're sitting on their asses in a completely different sector. They will then remove billions from you magically, the number of billions being directly proportional to how dickish they are feeling at that particular moment. I did write an extremely detailed ideas post on how the system could be made fairer, but alass... It was not to be.Edit:This was my experiences smuggling, circa november of last year. If there have been changes to the activity since then, the above might not be as accurate. It did happen, however.

umm... no? x-plane 11 just came out in beta, it is certainly not abandoned. FSx is technically abandoned but the underlying software called ESP which the sim is based on  has been licensed to Lockheed Martin, makers of Prepar3D, so yeah there are avenues.

@Jack, if that is true, I am appauled! Then again, Fb can do whatever they want. It reminds me of Apple's "YOu'll take it and you'll like it or take a hike" attitude.I'm not sure what to think about this JAWS only thing for Facebook. If they use standard web accessibility guidelines, all screen readers should be able to interact with the site just fine. I hoope they aren't using JAWS scripts or some other nonsense. The less I say about JAWS the better. They've got competition from NVDA and Narrator.

Smugglings unbalanced, I wouldn't bother with it. The rewards are barely worth anything, and SDF members will always catch you, even if they're sitting on their asses in a completely different sector. They will then remove billions from you magically, the number of billions being directly proportional to how dickish they are feeling at that particular moment. I did write an extremely detailed ideas post on how the system could be made fairer, but alass... It was not to be.

I did that but I did it it twice. I'm Chase on there but I think I broke it somehow.I found with the portable MushClient I was getting swamped with all the messages and text scrolls and stuff and couldn't scroll up far enough to look at what I needed to, and VIPMud just churls out error logs and won't let me type anything but that's for another topic.Still I'll give the whole digging thing another go in a bit. I just need to sit don and go through the help files and write the stuff I need for my game when I get it all up and going.And, yes, yer all invited, it'it'swell...you'll hafta wait and see what's going on with it.

Hi. I'd not seen the announcement, but the fields nearby sounds like a good thing. As for autostop, I don't tend to find that helps since mostly I slam into fields because I'm on course and have miscalculated where the field is, or because a new field has hove into scan range as I'm  trying to get to where I'm going, or, as on one notable occasion in my friggate, I was being chased by a hole bunch of vacus ships which I could do nothing about since I had no weapons or cloak or anything. Hopefully though the fields nearby will help clear this up though. I have one question about taking cover. Firstly,  can you take cover in mission rooms? If so, it might be a way to deal with those droids and their infinite stun ability. Secondly, I'll be interested to see if this also pressages my assassination missions idea coming into play.

The controller support will be built-in, for any controller that uses the XInput protocol. It has all of the primary game controls. Some configuration controls such as changing music volume on-the-fly, announcing your coordinates and so on aren't supported, but for the most part, yes, everything is controllable with the game pad.

yeah I just looked at the tutorial and some info and fwiw, I don't know if I will do this, its a lot to do. First I hate the windows speech engine with a passion, it sucks, I don't have the right type of mic to be using with it, I have a mic on on a webcam that does work with it but who knows if it will suffice or not. Then you need FSUIPC, they say you don't need the registered version but I don't even want that thing, the unregistered version is useless anyway, and I am not made of money to be buying all this crap. Then you have to do this whole sharing folders deal, then you have to have the sim in windowed mode, bleh, I like to play in fullscreen. Then you need to download it and launch it before you can even buy it so you get a pilot number. I'm just bleh, like who wants to do all that crap.

Far as the memory limit goes, I'm gonna quote people who know a lot more about the inner workings of FSX than me.1. FSX (GOld/hard copy) is a 32 bit application which means it's limited to...IIRC, 2.5 gigs of ram to use for everything. I believe, but don't quote me on this as I haven't found the video where it explains it, that Dovetail made the Steam edition a 64 bit executable, though a lot of people dispute this. The advantage of a 64 bit system is it can in theory use all the RAM in your computer.2. On the flip side. Dovetail are aggressively pushing DLC (I went to type that and my brain went hey, put ATC here) on everyone with the Steam store. Fortunatley it's optional and third party addons work fine with the FSX Steam Edition.3. I'd honestly suggest grabbing the FSND MD-83 by Alejandro Rojas if you want a free high quality MD-83. If you can find a cheap copy of Super 80 Professional I'd get that too...though intere
 stingly that locks out the keyboard controls and you ABSOLUTELY need to follow the checklists to get that plane goingdespite the fact that in two cases the real crews diudn't with fatal consequences. OK, I am in the sim, and in the C172P but I cannot find a keyboard binding to flip on the master switch to get the battery going so I can get it started. Once I do that I can try to fly it.

Looking at the list of skills and the emails amazon sent me on the subject, I think you might be right there Daniel, since the only skills I've seen anywhere and the only ones mentioned in Amazon's email were the ones I already saw, namely uk national lottery and london underground. Monthly  Chat February 2017

Yes another month, monthly chat topic. As always the rules are simple, simply one rule which is to obey all the other rules like a simpleton. Or, to put things less confusingly, feel free to chat about life, the universe, invasions of cricket robots, what your playing/watching/reading/listening to/murdering, how university/work/school/being a criminal geneus is going, that sort of thing. For me, things are a little quiet right now. Mrs. Dark and I are waiting at my parents since following her registration in the Uk as a blind person my god mother's 80th birthday is this weekend so I probably ought to go to her party and wish her well, so we've been waiting here a week before heading back to my flat on Sunday, where Mrs. Dark will begin doing some preliminary cane training with guide tdogs to tide her over before she gets a new dog, and I'll begin hopefully getting my new pc sorted out. It's sitting in a box in the corner of my room at 
 the moment, but since it needs connecting to the monitor and quad speakers I'd prefer to get a friends' help, unfortunately said friend was ill last weekend but hopefully it'll get done next week. In the mean time I've been playing a lot of crazy party, continuing a bit on alter, and a little cosmic rage too, interspersed with occasional attempts to get the amazon ecco dot to actually do anything useful, attempts which haven't come to much good so far,   I have a nasty suspicion you need to live in America for any really useful skills to be available to you. I've also just finished a really amazing sf novel by Marjory B Kellogg called Lear's daughters which I'm in the process of  reviewing. My last review, for the book interworld is posted on fantasybookreview.co.uk. It's a shame I can't review the other books in the series since I had a rotten cold at the time I was reading them and it's now a b
 it late, but hopefully at least having a review for the first book will be enough. Well that's what I'm up to right now, that and considerable wondering about what I'm going to do next with my life.How about everyone else?

At long last, it's time for an update, yo!Today's update is a rather big one, and there are some tweaks and changes, all for the better. (or worse). I await feedback from you guys, as usual.Changes include:- web sounds are added and fixed- channel sounds are changed so it doesn't loop annoyingly, and is less clunky mechanically crappy like the old one. Some loops and ambiance sounds are fixed and added along with this too.- Some movement sounds are added. This includes standing, sitting in general. Stealth sound has been changed to fit the surroundings.- fatigue sound is changed to be based on pitch instead of panning. I'm looking for some better sounds to replace for this one right now.- fatigue is notified only when your energy is at winded or below. If you type fatigue and it throws back silence, be glad your energy is still alright.- more profession sounds are in place now to enjoy. Choppers and loggers rejoice! Problems with hotmail

Hello,Both in pc and mobile I'm having issues with hotmail. When I try to delete a mail on mobile it gives me an error saying that the mail could not moved into trash. In pc when I try to send a mail it asks me for smtp password, I don't know what that is, I enter my normal password but it still does not allow me saying there was an error with login. I tried to setup the account again from thunderbird but the same thing happens. What can I do? Those errors started yesterday.

Is it possible with Reaper?

Hello guys!I am not sure, if Reaper is actually the right tool for what I want to do. I think, I will just explain to you, what I would like to do, and maybe someone here can tell me, if that is possible with Reaper.So, I have two audio files. Both were extracted from videos. One from a german video, and one from an english video. My plan is, to merge both files in one video. The problem now is, that I need to synchronize both audio files. In the beginning of the english file, there are two or three seconds of silence. In the beginning of the german file, there is only about half a second of silence.My question is, is it possible, to somehow synchronize these two files, so that Reaper takes away the exact number of seconds from the english file, so both will start at the exact same time?Also, is it possible, to speed up a file by duration? For example, if a file has a duration of 21 minutes, can I speed it up to a duration of 20 minutes?Thanks

While I don't know much about this, apparently, the Hims Twitter client does not use the streaming API. Instead, you have to manually refresh your timeline every time you want to get new tweets. Also, I doubt they've kept up to date with the latest changes in the Twitter API, such as mentions not counting towards your character limit.

Ok, what am I missing?  You click on the link that says your name, e to the edit field that says what's on your mind, type, hit escape, downarrow or hit b to get to the post button and it's done.  The dialogues such as the notification one look fairly dooable if not likeable; thus far no problems, which probably means I either logged into the wrong site or my NVDA and FF just like me better, which I don't buy one bit.

Flight sims and anything about flying is freely available. It isn't like you're making up your own world with lore and myths and stuff as an example and you aren't basing any of it in reality.  ..release Eurofly 2.0  with our features in it and no other BS, let us add our own airports for example with a button and remove airports with a key combo in the walking around mode, go into uber detail with the planes and everything else we discussed. 1. I've yet to learn how to use pokemon refresh. However, it doesn't prevent you from doing anything if you don't use it.2. While I do have walkthroughs for the blind, I do like to play the games without a walkthrough holding my hand: it allows me to fully memorize the map and be as independent as possible. I usually read online walkthroughs from Ine and Thonky.com, respectively. They basically tell you where to go and give general directions. for example, they'll say, fight the trainer with a Pikachu, then cross the bridge to the east. Also FYI, starting in X and Y, the bumping sound doesn't continuously play if you're running into a wall; it will only bump once and then stop you. If you have been moving in a direction for a long time, just tap the DPad to see if you're bumping into a wall.Hope this helps.

Basicly, I decompiled a soundfont with sf2comp, and I studied the text file that the decompiler generated, and I based the orpheus sfx soundfont on parts of the  code from the decompiled soundfont.

I'm using mobile Facebook most of the time. I have to agree that the regular Facebook site really sucks sometimes. For example, I just tried both in Firefox and Chrome to access "What's on your mind" edit field by using the quick nav key E with NVDA. The result is, it will allow me to focus search box, but after that it will say "no more edit fields" in Firefox, or in case of Chrome, it'll skip "what's on your mind" and instead will throw me at comment input field for the last published status on a news feed. The workaround for me was to go to first subheading at the news feed with H key, than go to "what's on your mind" with either Shift+F, Shift+E or whatever similar worked. But this works sometimes, and sometimes doesn't.Next, since I'm Windows 10 user, I've tried Facebook universal app, AKA Metro app. The first time I've tried it, it's accessibility wasn't so bad, but far from 
 very good. Now they even made it worse, since I can't focus edit fields for entering username and password anymore, and I tried both with NVDA and Narrator.And when we are at Narrator, as a last thing, I've tried accessing regular Facebook site with Narrator and Microsoft Edge, by using Narrator's scan mode. And I was really surprised. It actually allowed me to get to "what's on your mind" field. Now that's interesting, probably should try it with NVDA as well, since it's getting better support for Edge.And as a conclusion: For me personally mobile Facebook site or Android/iOS app is currently way to go for accessing Facebook. The only things I've seen dealing with that theme have been rather lacking. Rise of chaos website here   is pretty much your usual use turns to build up your empire and minimax resources for competition game, though it does develop technology from stoneage, through dark age and modern day.There is then Time hunter see index which is a browser based hack n slash rpg which has you fight monsters in various time periods from prehistoric to futuristic. There is also the four dimention mud, which I've not tried but has good reviews on mud connector and deals with time travelling through various zones, Website here  I know none of these are  exactly what your looking for, but  unfortunately we don't have even a standard empire building game yet, let alone one that
  spans so much technology and progress.

I'm using mobile Facebook most of the time. I have to agree that the regular Facebook site really sucks sometimes. For example, I just tried both in Firefox and Chrome to access "What's on your mind" edit field by using the quick nav key E with NVDA. The result is, it will allow me to focus search box, but after that it will say "no more edit fields" in Firefox, or in case of Chrome, it'll skip "what's on your mind" and instead will throw me at comment input field for the last published status on a news feed. The workaround for me was to go to first subheading at the news feed with H key, than go to "what's on your mind" with either Shift+F, Shift+E or whatever similar worked. But this works sometimes, and sometimes doesn't.Next, since I'm Windows 10 user, I've tried Facebook universal app, AKA Metro app. The first time I've tried it, it's accessibility wasn't so bad, but far from 
 very good. Now they even made it worse, since I can't focus edit fields for entering username and password anymore, and I tried both with NVDA and Narrator.And when we are at Narrator, as a last thing, I've tried accessing regular Facebook site with Narrator and Microsoft Edge, by using Narrator's scan mode. And I was really surprised. It actually allowed me to get to "what's on your mind" field. Now that's interesting, probably should try it with NVDA as well, since it's getting better support for Edge.And as a conclusion: For me personally mobile Facebook site or Android/iOS app is currently way to go for accessing Facebook. I also like Twitter more, despite the 140 character limit in tweets, but the problem is that here in ex Yugoslavia area Facebook is just more popular, and I should say Unfortunately at this time.Edit: Just to mention that I'm talking about Narrator/Edge combination in current Win10 insider build, a

I'm finding this game really fun. I love the fact you have to write so much. The only problem I have is that you can't choose your profession before writeing your character's background. I wanted my character to start a trade in fishing, but that wasn't an option. So my "satolite"'s intro is a lie. However I'm roling in the exp. I accidently leveled up from level 0 to level 2 in one shot. So I only got to raise one stat. It is getting hard to gold though. I do have my first abode though.

Can't arch-chroot

Can't arch-chroot

So I'm using the talking arch live cd. All the stuff is installd base, base-devel, espeakup, alsa-utils, and grub. But when I try to arch-chroot on /mnt it says failed can't run /bin/bash file doesn't exist. Has anyone had this error befor?

Chris and Brandon, I'll bet Facebook is aware of the Leasey package optimizing the fb site for accessibility. So to answer your question, yes, it is in deed using Jaws scripts. The optimization at least. F123 is moving in the right direction, I do hope they'll do something with the facebook site. And yes, it's no wonder Facebook is losing popularity even among the sighted community if you think about it. Twitter is more open. Just wait till Twitter adds in voice calling if they ever do, and you'll probably see users leaving Fb in droves. Definitely not saying that'll happen, Twitter is probably not gonna do calling, but just if it did happen, that'd be my prediction for the outcome. But Chris is absolutely right. They're doing accessibility wrong. I don't care what they do to the site, but if they don't even so much as allow third-party devs who know the ropes to try and help, then they're already doing it wrong. What's with t
 hese twisted motives anyway? They're losing users by being soft at work at making things accessible. Oh well, a few thousand users that is us is nothing to them compared to the tens of thousands already on Fb and not inconvenienced in the least. It's like Microsoft and how they were so desperate to get people on windows 10 they almost legit considered allowing pirated versions of windows to upgrade to windows 10 provided the non-genuine nag screen stays put. They didn't do it, but the fact that they so much as considered it showed their desperation clear as day.
